Scott Embry’s Thursday Pinjarra Preview Posted on July 22, 2020 | Posted by Scott Embry Race 1 WARDIAN has only had one public appearance but it was super impressive. Don’t think she ran past a lot in terms of quality opposition in that trial but did it in absolute style. Expecting her to take a lot of beating on debut in a fairly moderate maiden. WISE CRACKER has placed at each of her three outings and each of them have been strong efforts. Could find the fence for the first time as well. BARNSLEY BOY never gave up the chase last start. SEEKANUGGET is better suited in this maiden than the debut run against some handy types. Numbers: 8 – 6 – 3 – 7 Suggested Bet – WARDIAN WIN Race 2 ZAALAH is likely to get over further in time and trialed like a filly who would be looking for 1400-1600 but this is not a deep maiden (much like the first) drawn the inside she gets a wonderful chance to open her winning account. Likely to settle three back the fence and Pike can do what he does best and work his way through the field. Hit the line very powerfully in a Belmont trial. ROO has always promised to win a maiden and Gary Crispin’s yard have hit a purple patch of form. Recent trial win was soft and she should be in the finish. WICKLOW PRINCESS has had 15 opportunities to break through. Costly to follow but consistent type. TRADE FAIR EXPRESS is another who looms into races but doesn’t quite finish off. Numbers: 10 – 6 – 5 – 1 Suggested Bet – ZAALAH WIN Race 3 JUST UNDER was eye catching first-up and then was backed heavily second-up based off that performance. Was a moderate effort into fourth but back to Pinjarra, Pike on and drawn a gate should be afforded every chance in running. RAPITORIO was sectionally impressive last start. Ran sixth but was finishing off better than anything else in the race. TABELLA is a 2 year old taking on the older horses but should find the front. GLAMURESQUE gets back but looks to have a motor. Numbers: 7 – 8 – 12 – 9 Suggested Bet – JUST UNDER WIN Race 4 STORM THEIF was well thought of on debut and didn’t really fire a single shot when beaten 5.5L. That was a strong maiden with Beat the Bro and Giant Leap making the form look super. Was fairly luckless last start when held up at crucial stages and could be an improver from the soft draw stepping up sharply in trip. FUSION has done nothing wrong since joining the stables of Jess Valas. Should be winning a staying maiden soon. MISS MARANTA can really hit the line but gets a long way back. SESSIONELLE suited back to a maiden. Numbers: 8 – 10 – 12 – 14 Suggested Bet – STORM THEIF EACHWAY Race 5 EUROTRIP simply didn’t come up last preparation. On debut ran into Windstorm, Boomtastic and Kay Cee and then at his second start duly saluted when beating Power of St George. If he can reproduce his early form and you’re willing to forgive just the one poor preparation then he is the one to beat. CHOICE COMMAND is again very well placed in C1 company. Can roll forward but still needs luck to get a spot. PULI destroyed maiden opposition last start and always showed glimpses of brilliance at trials. VIN ROUGE is a mare that Krista Pike should have a lot of fun with. On speed and tough. Numbers: 3 – 1 – 2 – 12 Suggested Bet – EUROTRIP WIN Race 6 THE FINEST was completely luckless last start in a race with a fair bit more depth than this. Finished seventh but beaten under 2L by Ladies of London, Comfort Me and Hot Technique. They all look like horses who will go through the grades and off the quick back-up with more luck he can give this a shake. THE SINGING TIGER was plunged on debut and won well. No where near his best last start and willing to forgive. MING XING went round at a huge price last start and ran out of her skin. GRANRANDELL broke his maiden like a horse who would win more. Numbers: 3 – 1 – 2 – 6 Suggested Bet – THE FINEST WIN Race 7 SPEEDY MISS won two in a row and then was a touch disappointing last time out when a well supported favourite. Has been known to have a few little niggles and feet issues throughout her career so always willing to be forgiving of her. From the draw she can settle midfield and has a big turn of foot. BEL MY PAGO was ridden to perfection by Victoria Corver last start and this looks a very suitable race on paper. FRIAR’S FANTASIA doesn’t win out of turn but she has run some super races in her career. ZERO DEMERITS is a last start Belmont winner who is always a winning chance in this grade. Numbers: 2 – 1 – 3 – 4 Suggested Bet – SPEEDY MISS WIN Race 8 AL MAHALO was a tough watch for loyal followers last start. Got back in the run, probably further back than expected and then went searching for runs in the home straight. Gaps closed, hearts broke and he went to the line as a tough beat. Stays in C1 company and should be awfully hard to beat here. ARAGAIN is going well for the new stable and can settle much closer from the draw. ARTIE’S JEWELS has put the writing on the wall at his last two. Has to go close in this race. STREET FAIR an improver coming back in grade. Numbers: 1 – 11 – 9 – 4 Suggested Bet – AL MAHALO WIN Quaddie (Race 5 – 8) 1,2,3 1,2,3 1,2,3,4,5,6,7 1,4,8,9,11 Market Market
