Scott Embry’s Thursday Pinjarra Preview Posted on June 10, 2020June 10, 2020 | Posted by Scott Embry RACE 1 OCEANZARA didn’t get into the race on debut and then at her second start showed a sustained turn of acceleration when finishing third. The effort was full of merit and from the draw in the relatively small field she gets her chance. DOOWAHDIDDY was bitterly disappointing last start when sent round an easing $2.50 favourite. Her previous effort was almost a good thing beaten. PALAVER is going well and super consistent but just lacks a killer blow. MY DREAMLAND makes her debut and her trials have been fair. Numbers: 8 – 7 – 2 – 9 Suggested Bet – OCEANZARA WIN RACE 2 CHOKSLAM has now gone under as a beaten favourite at her last four ($1.60, $1.50, $3 and $1.60). She continues to promise and loom and wins one very soon but many a punter will have burnt their fingers on this mare by the time she salutes. CONRADS MISSION ran out of his skin first start back on the grass. If he reproduces that run he can definitely win. MISS BRIGHTON has turned a corner of recent times and gets big weight relief with Beaux Edwards going on. CITY INVASION has done nothing wrong at two starts. Numbers: 8 – 3 – 10 – 2 Suggested Bet – CHOKSLAM WIN RACE 3 DARCELE looked home for all money last start and pretty much the same story two starts ago. Should do no work from gate 1 and saved up for one last crack at the leader should be going very close here. FLOAT OUR BOAT should be able to find the front from the beautiful draw and with Madi Derrick jumping aboard drops 3.5kg from his last start effort. Is returning a very similar figure every time he goes round and it is strong enough to finish top 2. CLASSY MACRO was a sharp improver last start. OCEAN CANDY will have a lot of supporters with Pike jumping on. Numbers: 8 – 3 – 4 – 9 Suggested Bet – DARCELE WIN RACE 4 VICTORIOUSCHINO was backed from $9 into $3.6 first-up on a day when Graham Yuill was producing winners for fun. This mare looks like she will only get better and better with distance and Kyra Yuill has been on fire for months. ARROWSWIFT was a grinding effort last start but never gave up the chase. ICARIAN is going to break through soon and from the draw it could well be in this maiden. FLYING TRIX is going along well for Gary Hitchcock and the mare deserves to win one. Numbers: 9 – 4 – 12 – 8 Suggested Bet – VICTORIOUSCHINO WIN RACE 5 THE ANVIL was a dominant trial winner by 7.75L before backing it up with a 4.88L trial win. Sent round at eachway odds on debut and ran a nice fourth behind Saturday Sun, Rapid Transit and Bosnipp. That form looks good enough to break through at start number 2. GINGER KNIGHT has been solid at the trials and the form from behind him has also been quite strong. MY TOP SECRET ran a really good race fresh at 1000m. SMUG NOXIOUS has some X-Factor to her. Numbers: 1 – 4 – 7 – 8 Suggested Bet – THE ANVIL WIN RACE 6 BOLSHOI GAL has had 8 opportunities to break through but this does look one of the easier assignments she has seen. Was good last start and again kept fresh 29 days between runs. Pike jumps aboard so the price goes but she should prove hard to run down. FANDAZZLE finds a new stable and some of her form from when last in work would make her hard to hold out here. Victoria Corver brings the weight right down and she can’t be discounted. LIES N DECEPTION is always there abouts. SUN CHACEN next best. Numbers: 11 – 12 – 2 – 6 Suggested Bet – BOLSHOI GAL WIN RACE 7 CAERHELAN only had the two runs last preparation, first-up ran a fast finishing fourth behind Truth and Lies, Route Eighty Eight and Supreme Force before never really getting going in an Ascot midweeker behind She’s Alight. First-up, no trial, Harvey on and drawn a gate to sit midfield with cover, keep him very safe. PARISA has been going well without winning and from the draw should do no work in the run. SUPER TEROITOA seems to go better the tougher he does it. Gets along well with Lucky Ramoly and no reason he can’t win again. SWEET STRABERRY is lightly raced but looks to have a stack of ability. Numbers: 4 – 6 – 2 – 9 Suggested Bet – CAERHELAN WIN RACE 8 PERCEIVE couldn’t hold out the fast finishing effort of Point Taken last start when resuming and seems to have landed an other nice race on paper here second-up. She is a fairly versatile mare who can race on and off pace. DEW WEST comes out of strong 3 year old races but is a query at 1200m. TRILLI FILLY has no weight on her back and is hitting the line powerfully in her races. DAISHIO finds it tough to win and is awkwardly placed in the ratings but on her day she could win this by a space. Numbers: 7 – 5 – 10 – 1 Suggested Bet – PERCEIVE WIN RACE 9 VINTAGE STOCK is in form and can be forgiven for her last start effort when not enjoying the best luck in the home straight and not letting down like we know that she can. Blinkers go on here and she drops back into a C5. That race produced Picture Perfect and Divine Shadow for a Saturday quinella and she can go close here. ROMAN FLIRT is flying through the grades and now demands respect. Unlikely to enjoy the same cosy run as last start but impossible to knock the way she is going. DIPLOMAT EXPRESS needs to gain a start but if he does is a live chance. TWENTYTHREE RED wins his fair share of races when allowed to stride in front. Numbers: 3 – 6 – 13 – 1 Suggested Bet – VINTAGE STOCK WIN RACE 10 IRRITABLE RODNEE picks himself here. Last start he ran a quality second to Resortman beating home subsequent WA Day Cup Winner Fuhrer comfortably. Drops from a Saturday 3 year old race back into a C1 and should be far too good. MERCY PREVAILS is bursting to win another race but will need some luck from the draw. STARALIGN ran into Costa Del Santo two starts ago before plunge horse Suspectus at his most recent. COUSIN IVAN was an impressive debut winner. Numbers: 1 – 3 – 6 – 2 Suggested Bet – IRRITABLE RODNEE WIN Quaddie (Race 7 – 10) 2,4,5,6,9 1,2,4,5,6,7,10 1,3,6,(13) 1 Market Market
