Scott Embry’s Thursday Pinjarra Preview Posted on March 18, 2020March 17, 2020 | Posted by Scott Embry Race 1 KARIJINI AURORA ran well on debut when pretty much everything went wrong. Slowly away, held up at a crucial stage straightening for home and then copped a decent bump as well. Second-up, drawn 1, Pike on, gets her chance. RHYTHM STAR was scratched recently which never fills with confidence but the first-up run was strong. MOAMA ROSE should settle first few in running and is consistent. MONTIBLU ran well first-up from a long lay off. Numbers: 6 – 5 – 4 – 7 Suggested Bet – KARAJINI AURORA WIN Race 2 MISS FLAMBOYANCE has run some very good races but also some very average races. Draw is good and trialed well. ORISTANO has gone under as an odds on favourite on two occasions this preparation. Has seemingly had no excuses on either occasion. SWIFT GONDO has trialed alright and draws the inside. SHE WHO DARES looks likely to get back but should hit the line hard. Numbers: 5 – 4 – 9 – 7 Suggested Bet – MISS FLAMBOYANCE WIN Race 3 CREZEE was good two starts ago when making a mid race move to whip around them and finished second to Conquered Zone and subsequent winner Showaddywaddy. Last start fair and looked the winner before the corner before not really flattening out. BLACK RANSOM has put in two good runs for a new stable and seemingly Pat Carbery has jumped off Crezee to ride. RIO ROGUE is going better than the runs read on paper. OUR D’AMOUR steps up in trip which looks to suit. Numbers: 7 – 5 – 8 – 10 Suggested Bet – CREZEE WIN Race 4 BLOCK OF LAND was excellent on debut when thrown into a C1 event. Finished off powerfully and really caught the eye. Stepped to 1400m at his second career outing and was an alarming drifter in the last 2 minutes of betting ($1.4 to $2.25) and ran accordingly. Trialed well for his return. MIMS WIN is going well and can definitely test them from three deep with cover. NATIVE CHIMES could be better suited from off the speed. Interesting to see where she settles. CITY CENTRE just struggles at the 1200 but gives cheek in front. Numbers: 4 – 2 – 11 – 7 Suggested Bet – BLOCK OF LAND WIN Race 5 CLIFFS OF COMFORT trialed well behind Bosnipp and then was a big drifter on debut when getting out to an incredible price late in betting. He won with his eyes closed and ran solid time. Looks capable of remaining undefeated. WHAT ABOUT MOSES was good last start after winning well first-up. Capable type who draws well. STAROF BONNIE ROSE has not been seen for a long time but trialed up alright. DAISHIO is extremely well placed but 4kg claimer from the carpark is a huge risk. Numbers: 5 – 4 – 3 – 1 Suggested Bet – CLIFFS OF COMFORT WIN Race 6 PARIS REPORT won two on the bounce to start the preparation. Won maiden well and then backed it up in a 0MWLY 3 year old race. Last start ran into Talladega which is obviously extremely strong form now. TOURNIQUET was a super impressive winner at Kalgoorlie at the gelding’s only start in WA. PROCONSENT has a big weight to lump and is a little query at 1200m. TRIGGERFISH should get every chance from the gate. Numbers: 4 – 2 – 1 – 6 Suggested Bet – PARIS REPORT WIN Race 7 METALLIC BELLE is a lover of Pinjarra Park. Winner of 3 from 7 and undefeated at the track over the 1500m. Eye catching last week, on the quick back-up and bar plates come off. KELLY’S CALLISTO should find the front for Kristy Bennett and from there is naturally hard to run down. SKINNEN TINS dropping back in trip looks very suitable but the query is where she gets to from a sticky gate. BLACKWOOD RIVER finally showed a glimpse of his old self last start. Numbers: 5 – 1 – 2 – 6 Suggested Bet – METALLIC BELLE EACHWAY Race 8 SHE’S GOT MERIT is going to need some serious luck or a peach of a ride from Joey Azzopardi but he is currently riding in faultless form. Three deep with cover brings her into the race and she was launching late at Strasmore. SOWAR was cutting ground off That’s Funny Az last start and is in good form. OIHANA is drawn ideally and can box seat from the gate. ELLIE’N’PINK was one of few horses to make ground in her maiden win. Numbers: 5 – 6 – 7 – 10 Suggested Bet – SHE’S GOT MERIT EACHWAY Quaddie (Race 5 – 8) 1,3,4,5 1,2,4 1,2,5,6 4,5,6,7,8,10 Market Market
