Scott Embry’s Thursday Pinjarra Preview Posted on August 21, 2019 | Posted by Scott Embry Scott Embry’s Preview Race 1 POWER OF ST GEORGE has trialed very impressively on two occasions now. On 11 Feb he looked very professional and then handled the 1000m straight at Pinjarra very stylishly last Monday. Positions up from the gate, or even leads, and should prove too strong. EUROTRIP has the race experience on the board and should improve from debut outing. TRADE FORCE gets off them but shows a turn of foot. MELODY’S SECRET looks your typical Jim Taylor jump and run commodity. Numbers: 5 – 3 – 7 – 11 Suggested Bet – POWER OF ST GEORGE WIN Race 2 BELLE OF LIBERTY looks like being in the red, ~$1.60, but the debut run was living up to the hype around the trial. Probably should have won that race when finding traffic issues. No weight, drawn perfectly, should break her maiden. JARMAN has no race form on the board but the trials since joining Steele’s Casey’s yard have been excellent. MIMS WIN runs around like a drunken sailor but once he puts it together will win races. UNIVERAL REWARD was beaten out of sight on debut but showed a bit in the trial beforehand. Numbers: 14 – 6 – 5 – 7 Suggested Bet – BELLE OF LIBERTY WIN Race 3 TOO FAT TOO SLOW was caught three deep no cover in a metro maiden latest start when he showed grit to fight on and only go down the narrowest of margins. Suggest that he can slide across and find the top here and takes catching. MANHATTEN MONEY has shades on and will not get a better opportunity to break her duck. Expecting many a punter to give her another go. FAIR GLORY was huge on debut when in a different postcode to the well regarded Tramontane. AMILLIONITE can’t catch a break. She’s super consistent but can’t crack it. Numbers: 3 – 12 – 7 – 10 Suggested Bet – TOO FAT TOO SLOW WIN Race 4 DESIGNER PRINCE has had a myriad of chances to break through and at start number 28 he gets another good opportunity. Two starts ago went close in maiden company after a good run against C1 opposition. Last start was caught three and four deep no cover. One more go for him. SIMONELLY is stepping up in trip to the staying journey for the first time but racing very well. BLOOM AWAY is getting closer and closer and will get every chance with Pike aboard. XAARMERIT is a rare staying venture for a Jim Taylor trained runner. Jimbo has been telling everyone for years he can train stayers. Here. We. Go. Numbers: 1 – 6 – 7 – 2 Suggested Bet – DESIGNER PRINCE EACHWAY Race 5 DRAGONFLIES is a maiden taking on C1 opposition but comes from two efforts down the 1000m straight which look excellent on paper and even better sectionally. He can win this. LEAGUE OF NATIONS can lead up against the outside fence, from there he is the one to beat. THE BEACH goes well down the straight 5. DENGA is never far from the action. Numbers: 3 – 5 – 11 – 1 Suggested Bet – DRAGONFLIES WIN Race 6 ARTIE’S JEWELS was three weeks between runs last start and hit the line well in a race run almost 3 lengths above benchmark. That form should hold up in this and from the gate he can position closer in the run. MASTER PEARL caught the eye first-up when held up the entire and then two starts later was again luckless. Keep safe. FIRESALE was full of running late last start behind a nice type in Early Explorer. AMBER HIGHWAY has come back to racing well this preparation and the Wolfe stable are in form. Numbers: 3 – 5 – 1 – 7 Suggested Bet – ARTIE’S JEWELS EACHWAY Race 7 ABBY LANE was backed strongly last start and the money was spot on. Backs up off 8 days and after showed last start that even without luck in running can keep coming. If he gets to the breeze he’ll be awfully hard to beat but if he sits midfield he’ll still be in the finish. STORMY RULER probably should have won last start. He was charging late once he got out and looked to find a length or two ridden cold. BON VOYAGE is yet to hit his straps for the Bairstow yard but draws to improve. I’M ICEY is every chance if finding the top. Numbers: 3 – 1 – 4 – 5 Suggested Bet – ABBY LANE WIN Quaddie (Race 4 – 7) 1,2,6,7,10,11 3,5 1,2,3,57 1,3,4,5 Market Market
