Scott Embry’s Thursday Narrogin Preview Posted on November 19, 2025November 19, 2025 | Posted by Scott Embry RACE 1 DASHING DIVA had her first start for new trainer Cliffe Howe when fourth behind Gabex, Godless Storm (races Wednesday at Belmont) and strongly regarded filly Tennessee Spirit at Northam when parking wide and covering plenty of ground. Like the maiden handicap set up for her. LACEY MARIE had a few admirers on debut at Northam at odds when beaten 3.5L behind Aphrodite Magic, Lady Mayflower and Cassenite and then looked like she was ready for the paddock in her second career outing. Didn’t mind the recent trial behind Wild Things (races at Belmont Wednesday). WHITE HOT won a recent Lark Hill barrier trial and as a 3 year old filly taking on maiden handicap opposition, coupled with the 2kg claim for Holly Nottle will only carry 54kg. It makes her attractive. GANGGAJANG next best. Numbers: 10 – 6 – 8 – 4 Suggested Bet – DASHING DIVA WIN RACE 2 RACY RASCAL has found a very winnable race on debut. Liked the 2 year old trials and thought the most recent one at Lark Hill as a returning 3 year old was the kind of trial that would see her hard to beat first-up into a maiden handicap like this. Tash Faithfull, shades, no convictions, that’s enough to warrant strong consideration. EIGHT OUNCES made his debut at Bunbury over 1200m when a massive drifter, 21 – 126, and finished 4L behind Publicise, Long Laugh and Godsend Lady. That’s not horrible form. ABSTRACTED beat all bar Truly Gallant at Geraldton and the third horse Big Bopper won at his next outing. LONGTIMEBELIEVER has always trialled well. Just yet to really fire at the races. Numbers: 7 – 1 – 4 – 8 Suggested Bet – RACY RASCAL WIN RACE 3 ROSENTREA looks just about ready to win one. Finished within 1L of Kings Drama and Mr Kissinger, finished within 2L of Buthelezi and beat home Masmelo, finished within a head of Dominant Force last start and now gets out to 1720 from an inside barrier where she’ll either kick through to lead or take the box seat trail. Right race for her to finally break through. YALDA NIGHT has actually been whacking away okay into midfield positions recently and this does look a weaker race than recent outings. ZJP riding him well. SAUCISSION had shown zero until flooding home late last start. Was it a flash in the pan? FLY AWAY FLIRT should be able to hold the top. Numbers: 2 – 1 – 8 – 7 Suggested Bet – ROSENTREA WIN RACE 4 VANCOUVER STORM ran well fresh when second to Omerta Grace and then went to a 60+ Graduation that was simply a step too far when beaten 4.2L by Buthelezi and Saam Time Lucky who are both WA Guineas Bound and the ever-consistent Kelora. Drops right back into a Narrogin 52+ and love the fact that Donna Riordan has left senior rider Joey Azzopardi on. Looks very winnable for him. NORMA STARS was actually quite good behind Fast Harry and Hoba Meteor at Northam in a C3 and then nearly won last start in the Rivercrest Magic race. There’s little between them. RIVERCREST MAGIC herself is a last start winner and has always given the indication she would get ground. Have to admire the way Mack Hall gets these off casts and wins races. BELLE JOURNEE is nicely placed back into this grade. Numbers: 1 – 7 – 8 – 4 Suggested Bet – VANCOUVER STORM WIN RACE 5 MOLLYS MY PAL won a C1 1400 at Belmont five starts ago, was placed to Gondrinkin in a Kalgoorlie C2 four starts ago and since then has found the C3 provincial company at Northam and Ascot on Melb Cup Day a bridge too far. This 46+ 1900 is a really good race for her and this track is where she broke her maiden back in March. HEAPS OF MOOLAH gave a stack of cheek last start at Belmont when leading and holding onto third at any old odds (jumped 150-1). Was the first signs of form for a while and even though scratched at York on 9 November he has to be well respected. HIGH PRECISION is going really well for an 8 year old mare who has had 15 starts this prep. LEAD BY EXAMPLE finds this easier than recent races. Numbers: 6 – 2 – 3 – 5 Suggested Bet – MOLLYS MY PAL WIN RACE 6 PACIFIC BOXER is a York/Narrogin/Toodyay specialist. Maiden win – Narrogin 1100 under 60.5kg, 46+ win – York under 62.5kg, second career win Narrogin 52+ 1190 under 62kg. Just seems to thrive at these quirky tracks and going to forget that he event went to Belmont when something clearly wasn’t right. This is his go and Bradon Louis can be aggressive early. STORM LORD similarly loves getting into these 46+/52+ races. Rises another 2kg and draws wide but he’ll keep coming. PRINCE AMONGST MEN hasn’t seen a race this weak in a long while but does rise 7kg to 62. ELSAS PRIDE is quick but can stop. Numbers: 1 – 3 – 2 – 5 Suggested Bet – PACIFIC BOXER WIN RACE 7 TROPICAL SUN is always a top 4 player in these races. Love the way she’s going for new trainer Mack Hall and love the way that Rocky Cheung is riding her. Will just need a bit of luck to get a crack at them in the home straight, but if she gets a split she’ll be hard to hold out. KIMBERLEY CURRENCY has only won the one race and that was a 1000m maiden at Carnarvon, however, a few of the recent efforts in far stronger races have been sound. The 2L of Hewilldous (now a C3 Ascot winner), the 2.5L off Fine Star, Hedawood, Dominatus, the 4L off Rolling Ruler, Last Stylebender. It’s all good enough for a 46+ at Narrogin. BONNY ROCK ran a solid minor to an in form galloper at Geraldton last start. QUICK AS SILVER is ultra consistent. Numbers: 1 – 3 – 7 – 2 Suggested Bet – TROPICAL SUN WIN RACE 8 CHERYL’S SHOUT couldn’t shake off Drag Machine last start at 1300m but now Mack Hall puts Laqdar Ramoly on (both wins for Lucky) and drops her back to 1190m (both wins the Narrogin 1190). This looks a wonderful chance for her to lead and win. Keen (again). MAGICASH won a C3 1000 at Bunbury firs-tup last campaign to get herself to a m61 and now she’s a c61 as well which allows Ike Racing to drop her into this 52+ at Narrogin and carry only 56.5kg after Holly Nottle’s claim. She can be a tricky mare to ride but provided she stays out of trouble expect her class will take her a long way. WEAPONS HOT can go quick and so can ZAC LUVS TO FLY, however, they’re both drawn outside Cheryl so may have to work a bit. Numbers: 4 – 7 – 1 – 2 Suggested Bet – CHERYL’S SHOUT WIN Quaddie (Race 5 – 8) 2,3,6 1,2,3 1,2,3,7 4 Market Market
