Scott Embry’s Thursday Geraldton Preview Posted on October 25, 2018 | Posted by Scott Embry Scott Embry’s Preview Race 1 KING OF PLANETS should be able to clear them out and find the fence and from there is the one to run down. Overall form is superior to rivals and Martin Allan is in great form. PARISA was well beaten first-up but can definitely improve here and has shown enough to break maiden status soon. SUPER EXCEED will pinch a Gero maiden eventually, but suspect it will be over 1100m. JUST TOO HOT showed some X-Factor at trials early in his career but has definitely gone off the boil. Numbers: 5 – 7 – 2 – 4 Suggested Bet – KING OF PLANETS WIN Race 2 SIR MAMBO could be in a position to give the Hall-Allan combination a race to race double. He trialed like a 3 year old with ability and then was thrown into the deep end on debut in a strong Saturday race. Ran last but still looks standout form for this. NOBEL KING has had 17 cracks at it and will win one eventually. Looks like spearing across and finding the fence. Place to be at Gero. ROSSANA and STAY SWEET have been up a long time but both are running honest races. Numbers: 10 – 1 – 5 – 6 Suggested Bet – SIR MAMBO WIN Race 3 GOODLUCK SIMBA comes from a strongly run race at Bunbury on opening day. This is a far easier and more suitable assignment. Should be popping out three deep coming into the corner and looks a nice race for him. BOLLINGER BOY has been racing a touch below his best all preparation but will be winning in this grade soon. THREE GENERATIONS will continue to build into the campaign towards the staying races. THE BLUE NIPPER could be an improver at odds. Numbers: 4 – 3 – 2 – 10 Suggested Bet – GOODLUCK SIMBA WIN Race 4 CORPORATE TRADER looks hard to beat in this. Lightly raced type who resumed in a high quality 58+and was far from disgraced. Best closing sectionals in a race which dominated from the front. SOUTHERN SON looks talented enough to string a couple together in the region, danger. DYNAMITE JACK draws a better gate and was big at both starts so far this preparation. FREEZ’EMOFF has ability and is worth keeping in mind over 1400+. Numbers: 4 – 1 – 8 – 3 Suggested Bet – CORPORATE TRADER WIN Race 5 VIAMMO was strongly backed first-up and ran a huge race. If he has any improvement out of that then he should be awfully hard to beat here. INVINCIBLE WARRIOR was forced to work hard on top of a strong top end tempo. If Hill can get him safely out of the gates and get him into a position on outside the lead then he’ll be there in the finish. THERE AT FIVE is always tough to beat in this grade at Geraldton. Had reasonable form earlier in the campaign. KINTAIL never saw daylight first-up this preparation. Numbers: 9 – 4 – 6 – 5 Suggested Bet – VIAMMO WIN Race 6 BAY PUBLISHER was strongly supported first-up for a new stable and didn’t let backers down. He bolted in and did it with a bit in hand. Should box seat right behind the speedy Calamari Safari. ARAFURA on form would be winning this race. Goes brilliantly fresh and raced far tougher than these but the trials suggest she might have a few issues. NATURAL LUCK has a stack of ability and should get the right run. TOW ROPE looks like the type of horse who will be suited at Geraldton. Numbers: 2 – 5 – 6 – 7 Suggested Bet – BAY PUBLISHER WIN Race 7 BARAKI BEATS has loaded like a lamb since arriving in Geraldton. Peta Edwards got him out of the gates cleanly last start and it looks on paper like if he leads he will win again. TRADE TALK has come back well and will attack the line hard again. DANEHILL MATILDA goes well at Geraldton and can run a cheeky race with no weight. POLITICS may be best served dropping out to last from the gate and trying to track up late. Numbers: 5 – 7 – 6 – 1 Suggested Bet – BARAKI BEATS WIN Race 8 SADLERS HILLS was arguably a good thing beaten first-up when he did it very tough and just kept coming. This race looks even more suitable and he should be making a return to the winner’s circle. END OF THE ROAD won his maiden like a horse who will be notching a few wins in the campaign. ROCKER CHICK will get right out the back as always and by race 8 you will know if the track is suitable. CHURCHES is going better than paper form suggests. Numbers: 2 – 5 – 8 – 6 Suggested Bet – SADLERS HILLS WIN Quaddie (Race 5 – 8) 3,4,5,6,9 2,4,5,6 2,5,6,7 2 Market Market
