Scott Embry’s Sunday Port Hedland Preview Posted on May 31, 2019May 31, 2019 | Posted by Scott Embry Scott Embry’s Preview Race 1 JESTER FERRARI was disappointing at Carnarvon at her first attempt on the dirt but ran very well at Port Hedland. Should be winning this. SCORELINE is worth consideration, should stalk the speed. SIRIUS PROSPECT improves out in trip. BALLYFIN HOUSE is a multiple winner at Port Hedland and should improve fitness wise. Numbers: 2 – 5 – 4 – 1 Suggested Bet – JESTER FERRARI WIN Race 2 THE CHORISTER ran well last start at Carnarvon. That has proven a strong form reference with Balmontgomery notching one of the best dirt wins of recent times since. DEDAY loves it up at Port Headland. Went close at opening meeting and looks the one to beat here. BALLIDU BOMBER can give cheek if finding the front. FOXINATOR next best. Numbers: 7 – 3 – 2 – 4 Suggested Bet – THE CHORISTER WIN Race 3 HEROIC WORDS was only run down late by the stable mate at his first start for team Pike. No great price but should leave them for dead at the top of the straight. JUST DAVE is a long time maiden at start 19 but wins one eventually. OAKHURST POWER has a gear change and could improve. BROOKING SPRINGS will be looking for further but not the worst. Numbers: 3 – 1 – 6 – 4 Suggested Bet – HEROIC WORDS WIN Race 4 ANVIL GREEN was a rare beat at Port Hedland. Winner of 7 at the track and can turn the tables here on the two who beat him home last start. BALROV found the front and never looked back. Hard to run down again. MYTHICAL TRUST could kick up and hold the front which would make a race of it. DAD SAID was disappointing last start. Numbers: 5 – 4 – 3 – 7 Suggested Bet – ANVIL GREEN WIN Race 5 HASHTAG LAD and MISS HARLEY QUINN both lead all the way to win at their first starts this preparation. They look to hold the key to this race. Siding with HASHTAG LAG who can take full benefit of the claiming apprentice. MISS HARLEY QUINN will be hard to beat but likely sits outside. THE DAINTREE won well last start but this is harder. BODEGA BEAU was a shade disappointing last start given every chance. Numbers: 1 – 6 – 5 – 8 Suggested Bet – HASHTAG LAD WIN Race 6 SCOOTER’S MACHINE has had two starts for Chris Gilbert. Does a wonderful job with a small team and in this race there is a noticeable lack of speed. Expecting Kate Southam to work her way to the front and lead and win. KAYELMAR absolutely bolted in at Carnarvon. Looks the logical danger. PASADONNA can improve again here. LADY POET a blow out. Numbers: 1 – 4 – 6 – 9 Suggested Bet – SCOOTER’S MACHINE WIN Quaddie (Race 3 – 6) 3 3,4,5 1,6 1 Market Market
