Scott Embry’s Sunday Pinjarra Preview Posted on April 26, 2019 | Posted by Scott Embry Scott Embry’s Preview Race 1 PRINCELY PACKAGE stuck on really well first-up in a fast run 1000. That straight track experience should see further improvement and gives Jeff Pike his best chance yet to notch a 2019 winner. PHANDIERI flopped on debut down the straight which has to be a concern. Trials have been quality. ONE OH ONE has speed and shades on. Will likely open favourite and looks hard to beat. TWENTYTWO BANG trialed well with the shades on and can run a race on debut. Numbers: 3 – 12 – 6 – 5 Suggested Bet – PRINCELY PACKAGE WIN Race 2 ORAVA went close on debut against a horse who was well supported at its next start and ran well. From the draw should position just behind the speed and looks the one they have to hold out. TRACEYANNE will be a big price on debut but trial suggests that she can get off them and wind up to run a race. DINKUM GIRL comes out of 1000m straight racing and should hold a position on the fence. DEADLY TOUCH trialed alright and take away two wet track runs and his overall form is strong enough. Numbers: 4 – 13 – 9 – 3 Suggested Bet – ORAVA WIN Race 3 I’M PRETTY went to Mt Barker for an easy kill and everything that could go wrong did go wrong. Previous effort when leading on a day when most of the winners were off the fence was impressive. MEGAZONE is drawn wide but has the speed to come across and take up a position. Good efforts so far this campaign. GINGER MACK is still green and still improving. Senior on, blinkers on. Worth keeping in mind. MORNING SONG keeps opening a short priced favourite even though form is only fair. Numbers: 9 – 1 – 7 – 14 Suggested Bet – I’M PRETTY WIN Race 4 BRITISH BESSY is going to get off them and will be suited over further but she has a bit of an X-Factor about her. With the right run and splits at the right time can win this. HE’S A GUNSLINGER is right in the mix if he in fact races. Should have gone close first-up last preparation and then put in a strong performance behind Zaratite. FLIRTY FRIARS is worth forgiving and forgetting first-up, no trial on a Soft7. Better than that. MAGIC EMPIRE is building towards a win and was good enough last start. Numbers: 10 – 6 – 5 – 4 Suggested Bet – BRITISH BESSY EACHWAY Race 5 THROWDOWN is a real one paced grinder who will step out over further but his first-up effort was full of merit when looming the winner and only nosed out on the line. At some stage Staeck will put him into the race and see if the rest can run a true mile. ARNIE’S BOY looks like winning his fair share of provincial and country races for the Maley stable. Leads or box seats and goes close. TECHINCAL LIMIT has been running reasonable races and drops back to a more suitable C1. BLACK COMET an improver. Numbers: 2 – 3 – 6 – 5 Suggested Bet – THROWDOWN WIN Race 6 ANGRY ANNIE resumed in a Heavy8 behind Olga Louisa and Lord Greystoke. Reads well for a race like this, senior rider on and drawn the inside. Gets her chance here. DARING SOLEIL will find this more to her liking than last start taking on tougher 3 year old opposition than she meets here. MISTER KRUMPETS put the writing on the wall last start but is a maiden taking on winners. PASADONNA can run a race for her new stable on speed. Numbers: 6 – 2 – 3 – 8 Suggested Bet – ANGRY ANNIE WIN Race 7 FRIAR’S FANCY didn’t quite run out the mile last start. Back in trip and drawn soft, if she can reproduce some of her runs from last month she can go close at a price. FIRST GROWTH is already a C3 winner over The Big Show and then ran a big race over 1800m in a Saturday Graduation. Well placed even with the big weight. UNIVERSAL APPEAL put in a career best in defeat last start but draws poorly. NIAYCHI is hard to catch but capable on his day. Numbers: 9 – 1 – 6 – 13 Suggested Bet – FRIAR’S FANCY EACHWAY Race 8 FIRE MAKER is a 1000m straight specialist. Very good use of an in form apprentice and after the claim carries less weight than what he did last start when winning in the same grade. Very hard to beat here. FORK HANDLES was strong last start, draws the right side and has speed. SATURIA has been out of form but should be bouncing back soon. KAAPANDER has never been down the straight but form last two preparations has been strong. Numbers: 1 – 6 – 9 – 4 Suggested Bet – FIRE MAKER WIN Quaddie (Race 5 – 8) 2,3 2,3,6 1,6,9 1 Market Market
