Scott Embry’s Sunday Pinjarra Preview Posted on April 4, 2019 | Posted by Scott Embry Scott Embry’s Preview Race 1 LIES IN DISGUISE is one of the hardest horses in the State to catch. Puts in a blinder and then doesn’t turn up the following week. Essentially Fremantle round 1 vs Fremantle round 2. On the right day leads and wins. FRIDAY FILLIES is going to be a nice horse. Most Gangemi runners go well down the straight but they’re usually jump, run types. This one is not. VENORI and THE PEN both should make their presence felt. Numbers: 6 – 5 – 3 – 2 Suggested Bet – LIES IN DISGUISE WIN Race 2 CATIA had three starts over in NSW and then has now had two impressive trials for the Justin Warwick stable. Looks to have speed which is a huge positive down the tricky 1000m straight course. WINNIE’S WINE has trialed reasonably and may sneak under the radar on debut. VALIDATION has put in strong enough runs since debuting. DINKUM GIRL has experience down the straight but drawn poorly. Numbers: 8 – 5 – 4 – 9 Suggested Bet – CATIA WIN Race 3 KELVIN ran fifth in the Perth Stakes. The first four horses head to the Karrakatta and all look to have well above average ability and legitimate claims to winning that juvenile feature. This is easier and he will be well supported after markets open. SHOWZALI ran into a nice one first-up in Pretty Style. Form looks good now. SEMIGEL has done nothing wrong in two runs. IGARASHI is a strange name but looks to have ability. Numbers: 2 – 7 – 1 – 10 Suggested Bet – KELVIN WIN Race 4 NERODIO has been bursting to win a race. Was impressive on debut when drawn wide and then again worked hard from gate 10 last start. Draws a gate, blinkers on and gets his opportunity to lead and win. NEAT ACTION went very well fresh in a race which could prove a strong form reference. UNIVERSAL APPEAL looks to have improved in the last couple of runs and with Pike on will be fancied. Only a horse, nothing special. KURAKA has trialed well enough to run into the minors. Numbers: 1 – 3 – 7 – 4 Suggested Bet – NERODIO WIN Race 5 BRITISH BESSY is going to be suited over further. For replay watchers some of her runs last campaign were very good and she looks to have the ability to sprint fresh in a weak maiden. THE SQUIRT deserves to break through and win one. Is knocking on the door but drawn poorly. MAY KEEP HIM has better race form than the book may suggest. Worthy of inclusion. FOXY DREAMER goes close if she can lead. Numbers: 10 – 1 – 5 – 15 Suggested Bet – BRISTISH BESSY EACHWAY Race 6 VELAGO and FINANCE look the two with the most ability and also the two with the most issues. Neither will run straight and both have been frustrating horses for punters to follow. Between them they likely hold ~80% of the market and it is a tough choice. VELAGO narrowly on top but will need to jump and will need luck. FINANCE rolls around badly and lays in throughout. Pike will need to be at his best. MELROS BEACH can roll them both if finding a position on speed. GOLDEN ARCHES has an X-Factor about him. Numbers: 4 – 1 – 10 – 5 Suggested Bet – VELAGO WIN Race 7 CAPPO D’ORO will appreciate every inch of the 2300m. He is right on the minimum and rarely gets conditions like these. The Bull and Bush Cup was a walk with no natural leader. He should amble to the front and dictate to rivals. STAR EXHBIT did not have the race run to suit last start but was still there. The more genuine the better for him. HE’S A PARKER is flying and no reason he can’t win again. COME PLAY WITH ME showed more like his best last start. Numbers: 3 – 1 – 2 – 4 Suggested Bet – CAPPO D’ORO WIN Race 8 SOPHIE’S SONG bounces straight to the front and should take a stack of running down. With Pike aboard she will be no flash price but running her down will be extremely tough. KLONDIKE KENNY really appreciated having Lucy Warwick time his run last start. She sticks which is huge for him. DICKOLETTO back in trip can improve sharply but he is a hard horse to gauge. SONNEN not impossible fresh. Numbers: 9 – 6 – 2 – 1 Suggested Bet – SOPHIE’S SONG WIN Race 9 HYPERSPACE comes out of the JC Roberts where he was sharply up in trip and grade and was taken on a long way from home. He finished alongside the ambulance in that race but it will pay to forgive. Can lead, can win. BOLD VICTORY went below par at Geraldton but he is better than that and suited here over the mile. PATCHIRAC has been racing well for over a month now but now draws poorly. WORLD IS YOURS will be saved for one last crack at them. Numbers: 9 – 7 – 13 – 2 Suggested Bet – HYPERSPACE WIN Quaddie (Race 6 – 9) 1,4 1,2,3,4 2,6,9 2,7,9,13 Market Market
