Scott Embry’s Sunday Pinjarra Preview Posted on June 4, 2021June 4, 2021 | Posted by Scott Embry RACE 1 BETTER IN KIT is a tough runner to try and get a handle on. Showed huge raw ability in two 1000m Belmont trial wins in May 2020 before striking a lot of interference (and greenness) on debut. Had one trial over 400m in October 2020 which again had tongues wagging beating home Smashing and Mercanto and then most recently a trial back on 10 May at Belmont when taking a sit and running home well. Watch the market because she looks a talent. BREAD TO FLIRT has done nothing wrong in her short career and has had a few excuses. No luck two starts ago, huge bump last start. HELL RAIDER trialled up nicely and ran well on debut. SAFE REST was sold at her return. Numbers: 9 – 3 – 1 – 5 Suggested Bet – BETTER IN KIT WIN RACE 2 WINGS AWAY resumed at 1200m when splitting Jedi Mind and Celebrity Man. Clearly the Celebrity Man form is questionable after he again went under at horrendously short odds on Wednesday but Jedi Mind dominated in a 3yo 0MWLY on the same card. Drawn awkwardly but hard to fault her 5 outings. STYLAX didn’t fire a shot on debut but the recent trials have both been encouraging. THE FIBONACCI should in theory be getting better and better with experience. Had a habit of running around under pressure early days. MEMORABLE MISS was plunged at the shorts on debut and looked all at sea. Huge query on her. Numbers: 9 – 7 – 1 – 11 Suggested Bet – WINGS AWAY WIN RACE 3 SHORT TALK was a 950m Lark Hill trial winner back in November under Brad Parnham when travelling up nicely behind horses, picking a gap and letting down strongly under little riding. Recent trial was quiet and in neither trial did she have blinkers. Shades on for her debut, keep very safe. SKETTA ran around badly on debut, hopefully the inside rail will help because she looks to have a motor. OCEANZARA found a lot of bad luck and slowly run races last preparation. Always shown ability. REAL SENOR can give cheek from the front. Numbers: 12 – 10 – 7 – 3 Suggested Bet – SHORT TALK WIN RACE 4 VANMAN gets the nod in a very weak maiden. He is no star and has no real fire power on exposed runs but this is as soft as he will see in the inner provincial area. Drawn to settle either box seat or three back the fence and with even luck he can out grind them. RAG N BONEMAN is a 13 start maiden but with noted front running rider Mitch Pateman on can give some cheek. COUNT GRUNDY is honest and keeps coming. Looks fairly one paced. SKATER BOY can run well fresh after a solid trial hit out over 1450. Numbers: 4 – 3 – 5 – 8 Suggested Bet – VANMAN WIN RACE 5 MR FAHRENHEIT looks the winner by a process of elimination. Resumed off a long absence from the track (last seen Feb 2020) when running second over 1300 to Bring One Home. Should only improve fitness wise and on paper the main danger looks to be Titian Queen who he beat home last start. Looks to have found his race. TITIAN QUEEN was on debut at 1300m and ran well. Looks like a filly who will pick one up sooner rather than later off that effort. ARGONAUTS gets some weight relief and last start went round in a C1. BARRY’S CHOIX can cross them and find the top. Numbers: 1 – 10 – 2 – 6 Suggested Bet – MR FAHRENHEIT WIN RACE 6 GINGER BAKER made a real impression at his return to racing. His 950m trial at Lark Hill was the typical R.Hill spin around in neutral and the first-up effort in a 3yo 62+ was a ripper. Ran fifth beaten under 1.5L by The Spruiker, Timely Outburst (subsequent second to Graceful Girl) and Allmamoney (goes to the Raconteur Stakes Saturday). Back into a C1, looks the one. ASTRO WARRIOR is a fellow 3 year old and only two starts ago ran home with the best closing sections behind Billy Ain’t Silly. Good use of the 3kg claim to make things interesting SPEED DREAM was solid first-up. SEE YA CHAMP might need further but can sprint well fresh. Numbers: 1 – 3 – 2 – 9 Suggested Bet – GINGER BAKER WIN RACE 7 RUN D’AFFAIRE RUN will be looking to give Tyla Becker her first winner at Pinjarra and looks the perfect horse for a new 3kg apprentice. He is a jump and run commodity who was only gunned down late by a fairly talented opponent in Captain Burglar who was coming from stronger races. Horse loves Pinjarra and if it is a leader dominated program to race 7 he looks the one to beat. PRIZE PURSUIT gets a chance to take a trail from the draw and Jett Stanley is giving them every chance. SUNSET CRUISE comes back in trip but was a sharp improver last time out. VELVET ROOM caught the eye first-up. Numbers: 2 – 1 – 12 – 10 Suggested Bet – RUN D’AFFAIR RUN RACE 8 VANE TEMPEST is a lightly raced and super progressive filly. First attempt down the 1000m straight but she is starting to race tractably and she is on speed and high speed. That’s the perfect combination for straight racing, if you’re able to sit over the top of the tempo and keep running. Looks a lovely race for her. WIENER WALTZ looks the obvious danger on paper. Jump, run, hug the outside fence and don’t look back. SECRET ASSAULT sneaks under the radar and has been going well in tougher races than this. CLASSIC MAGNUS doesn’t win out of turn but is hard to fault on form. Numbers: 4 – 2 – 11 – 6 Suggested Bet – VANE TEMPEST WIN RACE 9 GEE FORCE bizarrely comes from a C1 up into a C3 and carries more weight (go figure) but it does show how thin this race is. Seems to be improving with every outing, is drawn a gate, has the services of William Pike and ran into a real X-Factor horse last start in Go It Alone. Should be afforded every chance. UNENDING is hard to catch but on her day is good enough to win a race like this. PROCEEDS OF CRIME should find the top and give some cheek. JULIETTE gets a soft run and should save every inch of ground. Numbers: 1 – 6 – 3 – 8 Suggested Bet – GEE FORCE WIN Quaddie (Race 6 – 9) 1,3 1,2,3,5,8,10,12 2,4 1,2,3,6,8 Market Market
