Scott Embry’s Sunday Narrogin Preview Posted on February 14, 2019 | Posted by Scott Embry Scott Embry’s Preview Race 1 LAYLO was backed from $51 into $9 last start and got home very well to run forth. Looks like she needs a lot of time to wind up so on a tricky track Chris Parnham may have to light her up. SHE’S A GALAH is up sharply in distance. Eye catching fresh and stiff second-up. MATABELE looked as though she will need all of 1720 at trials. KEBALAH may find the front unchallenged. Numbers: 5 – 3 – 8 – 1 Suggested Bet – LAYLO WIN Race 2 POINT TAKEN is fresh 46 days between runs, drawn towards the inside and looks like having easily enough speed to hold the front. Jump and run for Taylor-Brown. OVERTHRONE should sit right on her back which is exactly where she has raced from her last two. EMPOWERED was a nice return fresh. ZEDSTORM net best. Numbers: 3 – 4 – 1 – 5 Suggested Bet – POINT TAKEN WIN Race 3 HENTY GAL just jumps off the page. She should be deep in the red for this assignment and her recent form is lengths better than rivals and should really open $1.30. XAARMERIT would give her something to catch if he could bounce to the front. NEUTRON DANCE is jump and run type who paddles late. DEGREY LADY has been improving with racing. Numbers: 8 – 2 – 4 – 5 Suggested Bet – HENTY GAL WIN Race 4 GEOTHERMAL was taken on a long way from home in a recent trial and was able to shake that horse off and hold on for a strong victory. From the outside gate expect Jason Brown to kick her out and prove very hard to catch. MARK MY CARD has been back to trials in between races and looked good. FLYING TRIX showed something early but is out of form. KICKAPOO has been going along alright. Numbers: 9 – 1 – 7 – 10 Suggested Bet – GEOTHERMAL WIN Race 5 WILLOW RIVER gets one more chance because she draws the fence. Was unable to lead and then did plenty wrong first-up. If she can get to the gates in one piece she’ll lead for a long way. PINK N GRAY has run well at all three goes this preparation but draws terribly. ONESHORTHENRY has been going well down at Albany. RUBIX CUBE seems to go at these tight tracks. Numbers: 8 – 2 – 1 – 4 Suggested Bet – WILLOW RIVER WIN Race 6 ICE MAKER had to carry not only 68.5kg but a flailing Aaron Paul Rogers last start on the dirt at Kojonup. Can find the front here for a new apprentice and give some cheek. FIRE ANT has reasonable straight track 1000m Pinjarra form which should hold up here. STRIP THE MOON was disappointing first-up but can improve. YOU NO WHAT I MEAN has been going poorly but this is the weakest race he has seen. Numbers: 3 – 6 – 2 – 1 Suggested Bet – ICE MAKER WIN Race 7 DOUBLE EDGED loves Narrogin and gets along really well with Troy Turner. If jumping can find the front in a race without a deal of speed and take a bit of running down. CORPORATE STRATEGY has not been trialing that well but the Broome form is stronger than what it looks. Nice type. SIXPENCE SPENT has to go close in this otherwise he is forgotten. AFLICA’S GIRL has gone well enough at two runs for Watkins to include. Numbers: 4 – 1 – 3 – 5 Suggested Bet – DOUBLE EDGED WIN Race 8 GOLGOTHA was big first-up when rattling from last. Was held up at crucial stages second-up when finding traffic for Jade McNaught. Chris Parnham goes on and should get a nice run midfield. WITNESS IN COURT could be suited to Narrogin winding-up three deep a fair way from home. CORPORATE LARRIKIN was a much improved run last start and will give them something to chase. MAGICAL CHARM should have no excuse form the gate. Numbers: 4 – 2 – 3 – 7 Suggested Bet – GOLGOTHA WIN Race 9 AL DI LA looks a Sunday Special in the last. This field lacks any depth at all. His first-up win was super in cracking time and then second-up was only nailed late in the race. Sits right behind them and should be too strong. GRAND DESIGN won his maiden in style and looks the only danger. MIRISISTIBLE will come across running from a wide gate. STARSINYOUREYES can improve without surprising. Numbers: 1 – 6 – 4 – 9 Suggested Bet – AL DI LA WIN Quaddie (Race 6 – 9) 3,6 1,2,3,4,5 1,2,3,4,7 1,6 Market Market
