Scott Embry’s Sunday Bunbury Preview Posted on January 11, 2019 | Posted by Scott Embry Scott Embry’s Preview Race 1 PLANET FEVER has been improving slightly with every run. Over 1000m at Bunbury if you go back you may as well head down to the Gap. If Harvey sends him forwards he can win. FRIAR’S CLASSIC has been in a few winnable races of recent times. Unlikely to get a better opportunity than this. SAKARYA has been off the scene for more than 400 day but trialed nicely. FAMOUS ROMANCE finished off well down the straight. Numbers: 2 – 4 – 8 – 6 Suggested Bet – PLANET FEVER WIN Race 2 SECAIT has had a number of very impressive trials and it was hard to miss the debut run when doing a lot wrong and racing without luck and still charging home into third. Two months between runs and falls into a winnable maiden. STRONG HEART looks the logical danger and testing material after a handy debut run. MELTEME should be improving from the soft draw out in trip. ADORNMENT didn’t get a whole lot go his way on debut. Numbers: 9 – 3 – 7 – 10 Suggested Bet – SECAIT WIN Race 3 SUBLIME IMAGE was unable to make any ground in a race and a day which was dominated by those on speed. The closing effort was excellent and from the gate should get every chance and looks extremely hard to beat. BOMBARDMENT may roll forwards from the awkward gate. He deserves to break through but doesn’t look a ‘winner’. THE DIVINE WIND can put in a run from time to time and Glenn Smith goes on. MIA STELLA was big last start. Need to reproduce but should get it soft from the gate. Numbers: 11 – 2 – 5 – 10 Suggested Bet – SUBLIME IMAGE WIN Race 4 AMILLIONITE showed impressive improvement from debut to second-up run. If she can take another step forwards here it looks like a race she can win. BEE QUICK has put together three equally impressive runs in a short career. Looks a matter of time before she wins one. SASSY ‘N’ RED has now shown that those could of fast finishing efforts in the Belmont Saturday maidens was no fluke. Has ability. WILD GALAH leads or box seats and gets every possible. Numbers: 8 – 7 – 6 – 3 Suggested Bet – AMILLIONITE WIN Race 5 SEND MY LOVE is astutely placed by Alan Mathews and looks to have found her race. First-up was luckless when heavily supported and then second-up was rattling home in a race dominated on speed. Scratched from a 62+ for this moderate C5 and she stands out. TIME TO HUNT has recaptured some of his earlier 3 year old form. Stable is hot and he is in form. NEON FLARE will always be hard to run down in his races. Interesting to see if they try and hold him back to the field. SUMMIT TRAIL next best. Numbers: 7 – 1 – 6 – 5 Suggested Bet – SEND MY LOVE WIN Race 6 RAYARNIE was a blow out result in a weak maiden last start but actually ran fairly good time out in front. If Jason Brown can get him into a rhythm and stride from the 600 he should go well again. HIGH ENERGY was a big improver stepping out to a trip. Looks like winning a few of these staying races. MASTER PEARL is a grinder but keeps improving. STAFFORD’S LAD showed a little something last start and now Pike goes on. Numbers: 3 – 2 – 6 – 9 Suggested Bet – RAYARNIE EACHWAY Race 7 TAWNY PETE has an abundance of ability and a real X-Factor to him. He is a pretty exciting galloper in the region but very green and wayward. Out to 1200m and up in class makes things tough but he could be worth following. TRAKIATO won well fresh in what could turn into a strong form reference race. GLASGOW GIRL likely to find the front and run them along. KISS THE BREEZE takes on the older horses but with weight relief and drawn a gate looks in the mix. Numbers: 2 – 1 – 3 – 6 Suggested Bet – TAWNY PETE WIN Race 8 BURGOYNE was steaming home last start after getting a long way back. The trial was nice and overall form as a 2 year old handy enough. From the gate Johnston-Porter will have his work cut out but she looks to have a motor. CARRANYA LASS has just cooled off a little since she burst onto the scene early in the preparation. More wins in store for her. TYCOON MIKADO can come across from an awkward gate and if he finds the breeze is still hard to beat. MY LADY FAIR can win with the right run. Numbers: 7 – 6 – 2 – 11 Suggested Bet – BURGOYNE WIN Quaddie (Race 5 – 8) 1,7 2,3,6,9 1,2,3,6,8 2,6,7,9,11,12 Market Market
