Scott Embry’s Sunday Bunbury Preview Posted on November 22, 2024November 22, 2024 | Posted by Scott Embry RACE 1 AUTHORATIVE finished second to Universal Hotness and beat home subsequent winner Ideally on Melbourne Cup Day this track/distance and then was plunged from $5 into $2.80 last start in a tough watch. Got out when the race was all over a flashed late into fourth. Forgive, forget, following up. CEILI split Famous Dream and Super Snippy on Melb Cup Day and looks the big threat. Won’t be a maiden long at all. SUMMER MOOD was beaten fair and square last start at Narrogin but this is really not that much tougher. HIGHLY SPOKEN may be better without the shades. Numbers: 3 – 5 – 6 – 4 Suggested Bet – AUTHORATIVE WIN RACE 2 ADMIRE THE GIRL looks a nice filly in the making. Third behind Magna’s Choice and Ripper Farooq on debut and then just unable to reel in the leader when caught wide and working early on Melb Cup Day. Always risky with a wide draw / offspeed type at Bunbury but she’s got more upside than most of these. SHOWLAS went around 200-1 on debut and was only beaten 1.5L by Helluva Goddess. Query on that as a form reference with the overall time being 5L slower than maiden average and the blanket finish across the track, but still a nice debut. ICANDOIT ONMYOWN was a big improver first-up to second-up. MAIN ACT an improver. Numbers: 8 – 11 – 10 – 2 Suggested Bet – ADMIRE THE GIRL WIN RACE 3 ART SESSION should have won on debut. You don’t normally say that about a horse who has been beaten over 1L but watching the replay if he gets clear running at any stage prior to the 50m marker he runs past them. Was bolting and had absolutely no where to go. Cn bounce back at start number two. MONEY TREES has trialled well on numerous occasions across multiple preparations. Expecting him to go well even from the bad draw. AIN’TSOBAD trialled super recently and showed a bit when last in work. SUPER SNIPPY is always there abouts. Numbers: 10 – 7 – 9 – 1 Suggested Bet – ART SESSION WIN RACE 4 SUMMERS LEGACY should get every chance and every favour being drawn barrier 1. Considering King Mahuta came out and won at Geraldton last Sunday and Lien Hyphen goes around short at Narrogin on Friday it looks the right formline and the right map. ANTZ PANTZ BABY looked to have the race at her mercy 10 days ago but couldn’t get past a tough horse in front of her. HOT LIKE CHILI will appreciate more ground. KARSAVINA was only run down in the final stride last start. Numbers: 11 – 9 – 6 – 12 Suggested Bet – SUMMERS LEGACY WIN RACE 5 LORD RANDOLPH has found his niche in these 50+/54+ open handicap staying races. He recorded a career best figure last start winning by over 1L when bursting through and see no reason why he won’t be hard to beat again. No star but he’s in form and in the right race. TRUE PLAYER is the way that William Pike goes and no surprises considering he looks like he’s got far more future potential than Lord Randolph. Gets out to a trip for the first time and with Border Force winning a Saturday he looks to have the right form. SANTA BRAE is racing below his best. TRIBAL RULER next best. Numbers: 5 – 4 – 2 – 7 Suggested Bet – LORD RANDOLPH WIN RACE 6 KINGS HONOUR trialled super at Lark Hill leading into this return to racing and has so far contested a 66+ 1000 when 1.4L off Crippalenko, Malkar Pindari and Miss Flirtacious and a 72+ when beaten 3.4L by Joker’s Grin. This is a huge drop in grade and he should be able to lead them against the fence on a track that typically suits those horses. ROCK THIS TOWN is speedy and like the use of the 3kg claim. Faster the better for him. RULER ROCKET is talented but not convinced he’s an apprentices horse? ORACLE SON a watch at his WA debut. Numbers: 3 – 2 – 1 – 4 Suggested Bet – KINGS HONOUR WIN RACE 7 SUNLIT FRESCO was burning turf fresh at Ascot on Melbourne Cup Day. She lead running in a race where they stopped the clock 6L faster than C1 average. She was responsible for that frenetic tempo and second-up she should only be fitter. High speed type. ZEEZEA had the shades removed last start and jumped out of the ground to beat a nice one in Fast Harry. HOUSEWISE broke her maiden in style at Northam and they claim off her to drop 2kg start to start. SIRIUS STORM has plenty of raw ability. Numbers: 4 – 5 – 10 – 7 Suggested Bet – SUNLIT FRESCO WIN RACE 8 BELTA OF A SONG has found her feet and is starting to reward Brendon Fitz-Gerald and wife Nikki for their hard work and patience. She won a maiden, then a C1 and now should be hard to beat in a C3 with William Pike returning to the saddle from an ideal draw. She’s putting it all together quickly. PLAYING QUEST won his recent trial quite nicely. Some of his early form would be good enough to make a race of this. ROYAL SPLENDOUR returned in good order. WHY ME has changed stables mid-preparation and at his best has finished less than 2L off them in a 60+ Graduation and a Westspeed Platinum. Numbers: 3 – 8 – 13 – 11 Suggested Bet – BELTA OF A SONG WIN Quaddie (Race 5 – 8) 4,5 2,3 4,5,6,7,10 3,8 Market Market
