Drops in grade from a 66+ where she went around favourite back into a 58+ Westspeed Platinum race. From the inside draw she can settle closer in the run and provided she doesn’t encounter too much traffic she looks to have found a suitable assignment. SCOOTER’S MACHINE is no slouch and expecting Kristy Bennett to fire him out in an attempt to lead. Tough on speed front runner. BRUCE ALMIGHTY is looking to win three of his last four and is in career best form. PETITE LA FEMME is a maiden but her last two have been awesome. Numbers: 3 – 1 – 2 – 7 Suggested Bet – PLETTO WIN RACE 2 HOT ZED continues to get under the guard of punters. Looking to win his fifth straight race and again finds an assignment with little to no speed or pressure. Jason Whiting should cross Blow Me Out, Magical Dream and Allmamoney after two strides, with Alpha and Omega the only other horse with tactical speed in the race. Leading or breezing he looks hard to beat (again). MAGICAL DREAM has the strongest form to her name but weight has definitely caught up with her in this handicap 3 year old race (as opposed to set weights and penalties conditions). Highly talented mare but will need to lump the weight from off speed. ALPHA AND OMEGA chased hard behind Hot Zed last start and will be in the mix again. ALLMAMONEY doesn’t have the same runs on the board as the fancies but she has real X-Factor. Numbers: 2 – 1 – 4 – 5 Suggested Bet – HOT ZED WIN RACE 3 AMASENUS is flying but will need to be good to win this. No doubt Chris Parnham will be aiming to park her three deep with cover and that’s the exact spot she landed in running to score a stronger than average C3 last time out. Looks to be plenty of speed drawn in various parts of the line and if she’s within striking distance turning for home will take holding out. SHE’S ENCHANTED comes from the same form race and was scratched on Thursday to save for this. Not stepping as well as she did in her 3 year old Belmont days but her last start effort was much improved. EXCARO brings alternate form and goes super fresh. OLD BAILEY is appreciating being ridden for pure speed. Numbers: 11 – 7 – 2 – 12 Suggested Bet – AMASENUS WIN RACE 4 STORM WHISPER was annihilated in betting on debut at the shorts and won with his eyes closed by over 6L eased down. Huge question mark on the ability level of rivals that day but he took the form to a Saturday 2yo SWP when gunned down in the shadows by talented filly Policiere. Jump out on Monday was sharp and with a few queries over the exposed form of rivals he looks the money horse and has definite upside. HE’S GOLD is getting better and better with racing. EX SPORT MAN resumes off the back of his impressive Pinjarra Magic Millions victory. May find himself last and no doubt his Grand Final is still weeks away. DIAMOND BLUE isn’t far behind the stablemate. Numbers: 3 – 2 – 1 – 6 Suggested Bet – STORM WHISPER WIN RACE 5 THAT’S FUNNY AZ destroyed rivals in a 60+ Graduation at Pinjarra when running them ragged over 1400m (6.5L faster than average). Took the step into 72+ company and up to 1800m last time out when again reproducing equally as impressive figures (4.5L faster than average). Drops back to a mile, again finds the front and on a hot day with no forecast sea breeze to punch into he looks the one they all have to run down. FANGIO was enormous last start but on paper looks destined to endure another tough run in a horror map. SOPHIE’S SONG ran well last week and backs up off 7 days. OUR IDYLL was given every chance by Pateman to run down That’s Funny Az last start and now has to do it a lot tougher from a wide gate. Numbers: 2 – 8 – 7 – 5 Suggested Bet – THAT’S FUNNY AZ WIN RACE 6 SAMIZDAT was a brilliant winner of the Scenic Blast at Ascot holding out Flirtini over 1200m only three starts ago. Since then, has run a massive fourth behind Cryptic Love and Western Temple in the Pinjarra Classic before a midfield finish in the Bunbury Stakes. Lost no admirers at Bunbury with track conditions definitely against him. Returns to Ascot, Brad Parnham picks up the ride and is drawn to keep the leaders within his sights in a race with a lot less tempo. Can bounce back. WESTERN TEMPLE has come back to racing in career best form. From his first two runs there is no reason why he can’t carry top weight to victory. DIG DEEP was a tough watch in the Bunbury Stakes. Looked to be chiming in at the right time when completely chopped out. SERENITY BAY was far from disgraced last start. Big improver. Numbers: 2 – 1 – 3 – 10 Suggested Bet – SAMIZDAT EACHWAY RACE 7 EXCELLENT DREAM won back to back 1200m events before heading to Bunbury and dropping back to 1000m. Never looked comfortable in running when chasing throughout and sitting deep on the track. Much better suited up to 1200m and should stalk Charleton Eddie, Ziebell and Echo Effect. Looks to get the right run and is highly progressive. PLATINUM BULLET has been reeling off some blistering late sections over 1000m. Form through River Beau and Mood Swings looks super and the extra furlong is definitely in her favour. JERICHO MISSILE gets back and charges late. ZIEBELL an improver with the shades coming off. Numbers: 3 – 8 – 5 – 2 Suggested Bet – EXCELLENT DREAM WIN RACE 8 ULTIMATE COMMAND comes from the same Monday jump out as stablemate Storm Whisper who contests the Perth Stakes. She has excellent gate speed which should ensure she lands a prominent position in running and her form around Policiere and Flying Missile in her initial campaign should see her more than competitive. PAT’S GOT SASS was all the rage on debut and justified the hype with an ultra-impressive and arrogant victory. Massive opportunity for Kyra Yuill. SNEAKY CHANCE is still a maiden but has run some big races in her short career to date. STORY BOOK is undefeated at trials and races. Looks the kind of filly who could settle off them and come with a run. Numbers: 6 – 10 – 8 – 12 Suggested Bet – ULTIMATE COMMAND EACHWAY RACE 9 SAUCY JACK brings real intrigue to the race. Was allowed to roll by Carleen Hefel two starts ago and that was the last they saw of him, winning by over 2.5L in slick time. Worked ridiculously hard in the Bunbury Cup for the first 800m when racing miles outside the handicap and was duly beaten out of sight. Comes back to his right grade, strikes a race with no other speed or pressure and gains the services and claim of Laqdar Ramoly. He should give a big eachway sight. CRYSTAL VALLEY has been building toward a race like this for a long while. Bar plates come off and she looks ready. RIVALRY GALORE has put the writing on the wall and is bursting to win another race. POWER OF ST GEORGE is on trial at the trip but was every bit as good as Crystal Valley last start.
