Scott Embry’s Saturday Ascot Preview Posted on November 21, 2019November 25, 2019 | Posted by Scott Embry Scott Embry’s Preview Race 1 JEDAFFAIR ran into smart pair Cockney Crew and Forceful last start. She is a month between runs having been scratched after acceptances recently which is always a slight concern but if she can reproduce her last start run she can get Pike off to another flyer. HARRY THOMAS in in career best form. His most recent run was strong and he either leads or sits outside of Brother’s Keeper. BROTHER’S KEEPER made a long-sustained run in the York Cup and was brave. He can measure up here. DARK PROSPECT looks better suited back in trip. Numbers: 3 – 4 – 2 – 6 Suggested Bet – JEDAFFAIR WIN Race 2 OUR DANNI was backed as if unbeatable on debut and duly saluted. Dion Luciani has trained all three 2 year old winners this season and has another two placings to go with them. His juveniles are flying and he should make it four from four. STARFIELD IMPACT arguably could have won both career outings. Drawn underneath the favourite she can jump and run and take running down. GINGER BAKER should sit in the box seat and was not tested at Belmont. KISSONALLFORCHEEKS finished powerfully in her only public outing but doesn’t sport the head gear she had in that trial. Numbers: 3 – 4 – 2 – 7 Suggested Bet – OUR DANNI WIN Race 3 MISS TYCOON comes out of a strong 3 year old race finishing fourth behind Massimo, Ziebell and Silkinize beating home nice horses like Drinkwhatyoulike, Warfish and Mia Dolce. Speed drawn in various parts of the line but if Parnham gets her out cleanly she has sufficient speed to hold a prominent position. Good placement. MORE ACES backs up off 7 days, drops from a 72+ into a 66+ and lead them up over 3L faster than average last weekend. Hard to fault that. MACROY is one of the only sit sprint types in the field suited by the speed battle. DOWNFORCE should box seat. Numbers: 10 – 3 – 4 – 9 Suggested Bet – MISS TYCOON WIN Race 4 NICCOVI is really thrown in at the set weights and penalties conditions of this race. Beaten a length in a Listed 1200 at Moonee Valley and then beaten a head in a G3 at Flemington last time out. Drops weight into a Placid Ark. Gets back but is low flying. MASSIMO gets 3.5kg on Ziebell for running him down last time out. Improving every time he goes to the races, he’ll take a stack of beating. ZIEBELL is not well weighted for only winning a Kalgoorlie maiden but if he can cross Boomtastic he’ll make a race of it. LAVERROD has been trialing the house down and looks an impressive type but runs into some smart ones here. Numbers: 7 – 1 – 3 – 5 Suggested Bet – NICCOVI WIN Race 5 UNI TIME is admittedly not well weighted but he is charging through the grades, recording impressive closing sections and maps to get an ideal run in transit. One out and two back in a fast run 1400 he can take the next step into black type company. Both wins this campaign have been eye catching. TALLY is so well in with only 58.5 as a m110 but the 1400 could see him undone. ALPHA SKY can bounce back after running a better race in the Asian Beau. LORDHELPMERUN needs luck from the draw. Numbers: 11 – 1 – 9 – 3 Suggested Bet – UNI TIME WIN Race 6 DANCE MUSIC looks like finding the front and getting things very cheap. She has not been jumping that well this campaign but this race lacks any other speed. If Parnham can muster through and find the fence she should get a breather midrace and take serious running down. ELECTRIC LIGHT was eye catching in the Prince of Wales behind Flirtini, Misty Metal and Stageman. Pike on and up to 1200 she’s the logical danger. MARKET RULER is dynamite off the quick back-up. No luck last weekend. BEAUTIFUL MIND was the run of the day first-up. Not well weighted but hard to ignore her exciting turn of foot. Numbers: 3 – 2 – 1 – 13 Suggested Bet – DANCE MUSIC WIN Race 7 KAY CEE drew 14 of 15 in the Champion Fillies last weekend and was forced to go right back to last and track up behind Tuscan Queen. Couldn’t go with her and wobbled around the bend. If she can show the slightest bit of tactical speed and hold up in front of Dig Deep, Jericho Missile and Superstorm she’s a live hope. DIG DEEP deserves favoritism after his runs in the 3yo Classic, Belgravia and Fairetha. The barrier Gods are again harsh on him. SPECIAL CHOICE found traffic in the Champion Fillies and is forgotten by the market. SUPERSTORM is the most intriguing runner. Yet to break benchmark in any of his races suggests he could get out in the market but boy he was impressive last start. Numbers: 9 – 1 – 10 – 6 Suggested Bet – KAY CEE EACHWAY Race 8 THE VELVET KING will have plenty of admirers and probably just as many knockers. He is not leaving the machine cleanly but he musters quickly. Likely to land one out and one back when they settle in running and drops 6kg from the Lee Steere meeting Gatting 5kg better, Star Exhibit 3.5kg better and Achernar Star 2.5kg better. Prior to that beat Achernar Star, Samizdat and Perfect Jewel in the Northerly and meets them on identical weights. SAMIZDAT has stormed into calculations. He was sectionally brilliant last start when the shades went on. GATTING carries top weight but is in white hot form and never runs a bad race. Big winner at the barrier draw. TELLEM WE’RE COMIN comes from alternate form lines but the turn of foot he is exhibiting is electrifying. Numbers: 6 – 13 – 1 – 7 Suggested Bet – THE VELVET KING EACHWAY Railway Stakes Runner by Runner Preview Race 9 CAROCAPO was brave in defeat last time out when sitting outside Mervyn and left a sitting duck in the home straight. The two horses who beat him home (Uni Time and Dance Music) could well both be Listed winners by the time he races and with the scratching of Fire and Rain finds the fence. BEAT THE DEVIL is improving at every run this campaign and comes from the same race. Maps to sit 1×1 and enjoys every possible. BLACK SABBATH continues to attract market support. Getting close to breaking that long drought. SETTLERS CREEK normally pulls one out fresh. Numbers: 10 – 8 – 9 – 4 Suggested Bet – CAROCAPO WIN Quaddie (Race 6 – 9) 1,2,3,13 1,2,3,6,9,10,11 1,4,6,7,10,12,13 8,9,10 Market Market
