Scott Embry’s Friday Esperance Preview Posted on January 3, 2019 | Posted by Scott Embry Scott Embry’s Preview Race 1 KING FOR LIFE put the writing on the wall when wide throughout and swamped on the line at his most recent. Mighty hard to catch if Paterson can find the front. WHISPERIT joins the Meryl Hayley team and will need plenty of luck from the outside gate. LUNA ROSSA has been costly to favourite punters this preparation. Was given every possible by Jerry Noske last start. STRATUM PASS will appreciate the services of Matthieu Autier for todays assignment. Numbers: 2 – 14 – 1 – 8 Suggested Bet – KING FOR LIFE WIN Race 2 ANOTHER DEMON shot through the grades last preparation with some effortless victories. Recent trial suggests he is going as well as ever. BADGE OF COURAGE has always looked a talented animal and this could be his breakout campaign. Will settle towards the tail and if they overdo it in front will be the one flooding home over the top. RHINO BUSTER is at the start of an Esperance and Albany cups campaign. Expect an encouraging run. CLOAK AND DAGGER sits on speed with the light weight but probably isn’t a genuine winning chance. Numbers: 3 – 4 – 1 – 7 Suggested Bet – ANOTHER DEMON WIN Race 3 BACIGALLUPO is in career best form for an 18 start maiden. Matthieu Autier will look to find the front and control. Whether he is a betting proposition or not is debatable. Rod Brown trained pair TUCEPI and SALVARA have both shown enough to suggest they will pick up a race of this nature at some stage. SHIVERS OF JOY disappointed last time out, previous effort had some merit in it however. Numbers: 2 – 7 – 10 – 3 Suggested Bet – BACIGALLUPO WIN Race 4 BARRY’S RABBIT was beaten by the narrowest of margins on Boxing Day and can quickly go one better here. The inside draw suits and the grey looks a profitable purchase for his astute new connections. CAROB looks primed to peak second up off the back of a strong first up effort. Maps to enjoy the run she needs. HE SAID SHE SAID was scratched when breaking through the barriers at a recent trip to Albany and consequently sent back to trials. THUG LIFE needs every step of the mile and will grind away at a price. Numbers: 4 – 6 – 3 – 11 Suggested Bet – BARRY’S RABBIT WIN Race 5 BARTRADER drops back to class 2 company at his first start for Brett Matthews. Didn’t look suited to breezing last time out and Autier has the option of sitting just behind the speed from the draw today. ICE ONE has been impressive at both runs at the Bay Of Isles and the mare will again make her own luck out in front. AXEL FOLEY was very disappointing on face value first up. It may pay to give him another chance. SOUTHERN WARRIOR shot up the cutaway and drew away from his rivals when winning. Finds the fence again here. Numbers: 1 – 8 – 2 – 5 Suggested Bet – BARTRADER WIN Race 6 MAKURU will be the less fancied of the Peter Fernie trained runners here but can definitely test her stablemate. Found no luck in the early stages of the race Boxing Day and the track specialist can improve very sharply. TRUTH AND LIES is flying. There is nothing stopping her from notching her 4th win in as many starts. FOXY ROYALE knows how to run well without winning. Always a great place bet. CARD KNIGHT hasn’t shown his absolute best for Tracey Frizzell but isn’t far away. Numbers: 4 – 6 – 5 – 2 Suggested Bet – MAKURU WIN Race 7 BUNKER BUSTER has hit a purple patch of form since teaming up with Jordan Turner. His recent form is simply superior to that of his rivals. His race too lose. LOSING TICKET has been cricket score odds all preparation and has been improving with every trip to the races. Blowout chance. PRINCE HAL has staying form from earlier in the preparation very suitable for a race like this. MAULDENS MILL is unknown at the trip but racing ever so consistently. Numbers: 1 – 10 – 5 – 2 Suggested Bet – BUNKER BUSTER WIN Quad (Race 4 – 7) 3,4,6 1,2,8 4,6 1 Market Market
