That looks like strong form for a country maiden and from the inside gate she could nearly lead these. We all know that the Peters Investments horses are usually ridden with cover but the option is definitely there. Looks a winnable race for the filly. LOOKS was popular throughout betting at his return to racing. Finished fourth but the run was far better than it looks on paper. He over raced throughout and Jarrad Noske did a great job to keep him in one piece rounding the home corner. Won’t be a maiden long. PENNED ran well at his return and can come out running. WARRALEA DIAMOND was solid enough last preparation. Numbers: 8 – 6 – 3 – 5 Suggested Bet – ANTIQUE MISS WIN RACE 2 SCENIC STRIKE went down narrowly two starts ago behind Grece Lightning (beating home Deadly and Fast) and unsuccessfully protested against the winner. Last start settled a long way off them in a race which was dominated from on top of the speed by Bobsled. It was a deteriorating Soft6/7 surface and you can be forgiving. Drawn to get the run of the race and deserves another chance. DEADLY AND FAST is a long time maiden but it’s hard to knock any of his recent runs. He’s ready to finally break through and win one. PRINCE IMORTALL backs up off 5 days from a good effort last Sunday at Pinjarra. DARK MISSILE raced like she’ll need this distance. Loomed large on straightening but couldn’t quite finish off. Numbers: 5 – 1 – 2 – 6 Suggested Bet – SCENIC STRIKE WIN RACE 3 SNIPPAGEM has been a model of consistency this whole preparation and Brayden Gaerth knows her inside and out. She’s drawn inside of Little Punga and the two have met numerous times in recent months. We’ll back Brayden in to make the right decision on the day as to whether to hold him out or let him cross. Sits close handy regardless and takes running down. ROCK OF KAHA broke through last start for a strong victory. If he can reproduce the effort (gets an identical run) then he’ll be hard to hold out. WILD FUSION has been freshened and is rarely seen back in this grade. Respect. HIP WIGGLE ran well after a let up. Numbers: 3 – 6 – 2 – 5 Suggested Bet – SNIPPAGEM WIN RACE 4 SNEAKY FOX drops back into a 58+ which looks a remarkable piece of placement on paper. He will have to lump 62kg which will likely scare a few off but we’ll back his class in to get him over the line. Backs up off 6 days after running yet another honest and consistent minor placing in 70+ grade. His last four outings have been in higher grade since winning a 58+ at Albany as an odds-on pop when sitting three deep throughout with 59.5kg. Not an easy task to win with 62 but he’s the class horse. VRUM can be hit and miss but when he is allowed to stride and gets his own way in front he’s hard to get past, especially if there’s any rain around. COLD AS COLD can improve quickly into his preparations. LONG KNIFE BROTHER always a blow out chance. Numbers: 1 – 2 – 5 – 7 Suggested Bet – SNEAKY FOX WIN RACE 5 SPEEDY PYE is the kind of mare who needs every little thing to go in her favour for her to come out victorious. Barrier 1 with the cutaway in play might just be the key. She’s been knocking on the door all preparation, deserves to win one and on the back-up she gets her opportunity. No stars in this and she looks one of many chances. DOUBLE THUMBS UP won a C2 1232 at Albany going back five starts. He was a solid effort behind Vrum a fortnight ago. ROSE OF DENMARK ran well coming out of maiden grade. RIBBING can take up the running in race without a whole lot of tempo. Numbers: 7 – 2 – 5 – 3 Suggested Bet – SPEEDY PYE WIN RACE 6 DUCHEES DEMERIT won back to back races in December, a 52+ 1900 at Narrogin and a 58+ 1850 at Mt Barker. Since then he’s gone to a 64+, a metro C3 and a Saturday 60+ Graduation where only beaten 2L by Wee Ripper and Awesome Chatter. Only carries 1kg more in this race than last start after the ZJP claim and from barrier 1 he can settle three back the fence and take the cutaway option. Live chance and well placed. THE GREAT ONE has been teasing punters since seemingly turning a corner about 4 starts ago. Not entirely convinced he stays but Jarrad Noske aboard helps him big time. WATCH ME NEY NEY is fit and can see out the trip. Keep safe. ARTIE’S COMET doesn’t know how to run a bad race. Numbers: 3 – 2 – 4 – 1 Suggested Bet – DUCHEES DEMERIT WIN RACE 7 POWERFUL FORCE is no star but these country C2 races are his bread and butter. If he reproduces the run that say him finish a neck off Snippagem in a C2 mile at Albany, or the run which say him run second to Tallangatta in a C1 at Pinjarra, or fourth behind Solid Gold and Snippagem or third to Bentley Beau and Kutsanya, he’d be hard to beat in this. Goes well off the 4 week break and this is not a deep race. BOBSLED led them a merry dance last start to bolt in on a heavily rain affected surface. JAFETICA is first-up at 1500m and will no doubt need further but can sprint well fresh. Love the fact Lucy is riding herself. STAR IN TIME has had an excellent season in the Great Southern. Numbers: 7 – 2 – 5 – 3 Suggested Bet – POWERFUL FORCE WIN Quaddie (Race 4 – 7) 1,2 2,3,5,7 1,2,3,4,5,7 2,3,5,7 Market Market
