Same Race Multi is available now on the TABtouch app or (iOS users will need to have the latest version of the app installed) and can be used on all Australian and New Zealand thoroughbred and greyhound meetings PLUS UK, Irish and South African thoroughbred races where Parimutuel betting is offered. Happy punting! Same Race Multi FAQs What is Same Race Multi? It is a Fixed Odds bet type that allows you to select multiple runners to win and/or to finish in the top 2, 3 or 4 from within the same race. What events is Same Race Multi offered on? The vast majority of ‘final field’ Australian and New Zealand Thoroughbred and Greyhound races (where traditional Fixed Odds betting is offered) plus selected International events. Races must contain 6 or more runners for Same Race Multi to be made available. Same Race Multi is also available on UK, Irish and South African Thoroughbred races where Parimutuel betting is offered. When is Same Race Multi available? For Thoroughbred races, Same Race Multi is available from approximately 9.30am on race day (local time of meeting) while for Greyhounds, from approximately 1 hour prior to advertised start time for each race. What are the minimum & maximum number of legs? A Same Race Multi must contain a minimum of 2 legs with a maximum of 4, however, the same runner cannot be selected in more than one finishing position. What happens if one of my runners is scratched? If a runner included in your Same Race Multi bet is scratched, your bet will be refunded. In the event scratched runners not included in your bet reduce the field to 5 runners (after your bet has been placed), your Same Race Multi will stand. Where a field is reduced to 4 or less runners however, all Same Race Multi bets placed on the race will be declared void and refunded. Do deductions apply to Same Race Multi bets? If a runner not included in your Same Race Multi is scratched from the race after your bet was placed, deductions may apply. What happens if there’s a dead heat? Dead heat rules apply to Same Race Multi bets in the event of runners tying for a placing. What happens if there’s a protest? Winning Same Race Multi bets will be paid out coinciding with the release of final dividends on the race so the result of any upheld protest will be taken into account.
