Race 1

SAXAPPEAL gets her chance to break maiden status in a very weak opener. With Autier going on she appeals the most. VICTORY PLAN was grinding away last start and should see out the trip. GIBRALTAR’S STREET has had plenty of chances. ELLA JEAN could lead and give cheek.

Race 2

MADRID CENTRO would go close if he was allowed to stroll to the top. He is a one paced front running type who will steal one soon. LOVEJOY was once a $170,000 yearling purchase for Gai Waterhouse. Trialled well enough to give this a shake. SUNSET PETE ran a couple of handy provincial placings last preparation. MOLLY KISSES is rarely far away from the money.

Race 3

SNACK PACK is a noted non-winner but this race is the easiest assignment he has contested for a fair while. Gets his chance. ELLENS CHOICE is a 3 year old filly who rarely puts in a bad run. PIVARNICK belted a weak bunch at Esperance last start but can go on with it. DAWNS FLYER will likely roll out in front and could prove hard to catch.

Race 4

NORTHPACE is drawn beautifully in barrier 1 to get a soft run and should go around at an eachway price. RETURN ON CAPITAL has been ultra consistent this preparation since breaking her maiden status. MICA LIL looks to be screaming out for this trip. GALINBA BLAST has been dominating the picnic circuit for Casey Hunter and can win again.

Numbers: 10 – 4 – 9 – 2

Suggested Bet – NORTHPACE EACHWAY

Race 5

NICCATRICE looks very well placed to return to the winners’ circle. Got within 1.5 lengths of a flying My Greek Boy and this is much easier assignment. PORTONIAN grows a leg at this track. CANNA LILY drops sharply back in distance but is in form. LONG KNIFE will be in front for a long way but under the big weight impost will paddle late.

Race 6

PARISIENNE LADY is a consistent type who should get a pretty economical run midfield with cover. She goes well at this track and can play a major part. FAIRLY HOT put in an eye catcher first-up. MISS SINGAPORE is 1 from 1 at this track. REBEL FLIGHT would give a sight if he found the front.

Suggested Bet – PARISIENNE LADY WIN

Race 7

RHINO BUSTER must lump a big weight and is yet to race at Mt Barker but his recent form at Esperance including a game second in the Esperance Cup sees him go close here. DAISY EXPRESS gave rivals a galloping lesson last start and with the right two into the race is a definite winning chance. DESIRED VIEW should slide forwards and take up the running. READY TO FIRE has been well supported through early betting and gets in well at the weights.

Race 8

VIGORHESTA has a horrendous gate to overcome but the mountain of a horse is more than capable of doing it tough early and still finishing off the race powerfully. PENALTY POINT can reel off electric late sections and ridden cold could knock them out late. QUALITY FAIR is a classy galloper when right. MR PAGO comes to WA with wraps but is vulnerable first-up at the sprint distance.
