Extra SuperPicks for Moonee Valley – Races 1 & 2

RACE 1

DOMINO VITALE is the value runner here, just think that she will make her own luck and give a great sight. It’s a competitive race but she is right in the mix.

SuperPick - Race 1 No. 1 DOMINO VITALE - Place Boost

RACE 2

Scratchings have decimated this field, ESHTIRAAK ran well fresh and the step up in distance is ideal for him, looks a very suitable race for him.

SuperPick - Race 2 No. 2 ESHTIRAAK - Money Back

Deane Lester’s Best Bets

RACE 1 NO. 1 DOMINO VITALE

DOMINO VITALE is steadily running into form and looks a good value runner when she contests the Fillies and Mares Benchmark 84 Handicap (1600m). The six year old has had four runs back from a spell and battled on fairly when finishing 5th behind HELL OR HIGHWATER over 1600 metres on August 19. The significant change is that Noel Callow takes the ride and his aggressive style often gets horses to find their best form. She should race near the lead, has proven to be a good weight carrier in the past and represents solid each way value.

RACE 6 NO. 8 SANADAAT

The Atlantic Jewel Stakes (1200m) promises to be a highly competitive race for the three year old fillies, however SANADAAT is an exciting type that can prove equal to the task. The daughter of Not A Single Doubt has won two of her three starts to date including a dominant win over 1200 metres at Sandown on August 6. She has been kept fresh for this race, should use her tactical speed to advantage and looks a great winning chance again.

RACE 7 NO. 2 BRAVE SMASH

The shortest priced favourite at the Moonee Valley meeting will be BRAVE SMASH when he contests the Bendigo Bank Stakes (1200m) and he looks one of the standout runners of the meeting. The former Japanese galloper made his Australian debut with a fast finishing second behind subsequent group one winner VEGA MAGIC in the Regal Roller Stakes (1200m) at Caulfield on August 19. He will be improved by that run and this looks a slightly weaker race than last time. The Darren Weir trained stallion is vying for a berth in next month’s $10 million Everest (1200m) at Randwick so it’s imperative that BRAVE SMASH shows his best form and should prove too good for this field.

SuperPick - RACE 7 NO. 2 BRAVE SMASH - Win Boost
