Michael McDermott’s Weekend Greyhound Preview Posted on August 18, 2017 | Posted by Michael McDermott Mandurah Friday 18th August 2017 Race 3 – No. 2 Arlo SuperPick – MoneyBack, Run 2nd In form chaser who makes his 490m debut. He is not known for his early speed but he has been hitting the line hard over the 405m and looks as though the rise in distance will suit. He does meet a solid line up which means he’ll be at a decent price and well worth an Each Way ticket. Race 5 – No. 3 Gold Reserve Rarely seen over the trip but when he has been, he’s finished in the money on each occasion. Led all the way in a brilliant 27.29 when last seen over the trip and a return to winning form looks likely. Race 8 – No. 9 Ouchamp WA Derby placegetter who resumes from a break. He finished down the track in his only run over this trip when beaten nearly 6 lengths by Vanderworp in a Mandurah Derby heat but there’s no sign of that class of canine in this so he looks the one to beat here. Bet Now! Cannington Saturday 19th August 2017 Race 6 – No. 2 Mendoza Monelli Racing in topnotch form since returning to racing and was massive in defeat behind Max Profit in last weeks WA Sprint Final. He has his favourite rug tonight and will be hard to hold out if he hits the line with similar urgency. Race 7 – No. 3 Stratosphere In form chaser who was unlucky not to win last week from an awkward draw when finishing on the heels of Induction. Capable of a good jump and if leading or racing close enough to the speed, he’ll be hard to beat. Race 12 – No. 2 Blackwood Burst SuperPick (Place Boost) Has finished no closer than 14 lengths to the winner in 2 runs over this trip and has only finished in the placing’s once in 8 starts in WA but he has had no luck in the majority of those runs and the only time he did, he won in FFA company at Northam in smart time. If he pings he’ll be hard to run down. QUADDIE (Race 5 to 8): 2, 4, 8 / 2, 3, 7 / 1, 2, 3 / Field. $50 for 23.14% TRIFECTA – Race 3 1, 2 / 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 8 / 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8. $30 for 60% FIRST FOUR – Race 6 2, 3, 7 / 2, 3, 4, 7 / 1, 2, 3, 4, 7 / 1, 3, 4, 6, 7, 8. $50 for 50% Bet Now!
