Michael McDermott’s Weekend Greyhound Preview Posted on November 5, 2021November 5, 2021 | Posted by Michael McDermott Mandurah Friday. 5th November 2021 Race 3 – No. 1 Burning Passion Gave a good sight when prominent throughout for second from this very draw last week. Slightly easier this time around and she should be able to hang on this time with a similar effort. Race 8 – No. 3 Monagrillo Well supported in his two runs so far, both in June for mixed results. Too smart for his rivals on debut, leading all the way in a slick 22.78 before finding trouble second up and finishing toward the tail. Hasn’t been seen since but drawn well and should be primed for a strong first up effort. Race 9 – No. 3 City Monelli Unplaced just once so far in his 16 starts. Covered plenty of extra ground from a wide draw last start when holding on well for 3rd in 22.86. The improved draw helps and it would be no surprise to see him bounce back to his best. Each Way: Race 10 – No. 6 Lily Lana Handy effort in her only outing over this trip, finishing 3rd in much tougher FFA company. Will be relying on luck from the draw but a win would not surprise if she manages to find a forward position. Quaddie (Race 5 to 8): 1.4.5.6 / 1.3.4.8 / 1.3.8 / 3.4 $50 for 52.08% Bet Now! Bet Now! Cannington Saturday, 6th November 2021 Race 5 – No. 1 Pandero Opal Resumes from a well-earned break, having figured on the podium in 10 of 12 since her debut in June. Drawn favourably in red and should give this one almighty shake. Race 6 – No. 1 Amplified A winner in 5 of her past 6 and unbeaten in red. Had excuses from the awkward draw last week but prior to that, she demolished her rivals in her only two other runs over this trip. This tougher but she should lead, win and make amends. Race 8 – No. 6 Vice Grip Impeccably-bred chaser who took out the Group 2 All Stars Sprint two runs ago. He will appreciate the step up to the middle distance for the first time locally and should be mighty hard to hold out here. Each Way: Race 12 – No. 3 Torza Has given plenty of cheek at her past couple over the trip with placings behind a few handy ones at odds. Both runners to her inside can begin like rockets on their night so if she is able to slip in behind and gain a soft run, she could finish over the top of them late. Quaddie (Race 5 to 8): 1.3.8 / 1 / 1.3.5 / 3.6 $50 for 277.77% Trifecta – Race 7 1.3.5 / 1.3.5 / 1.2.3.5.7.8 $30 for 135% First Four – Race 6 1 / 2.5.7.8 / 2.5.7.8 / 2.3.5.6.7.8 $50 for 104.16% Bet Now! Mandurah Sunday, 7th November 2021 Race 8 – No. 8 Capital Monelli Yet to crack 23 seconds but she has led all the way from this draw in the past and should find this easier than recent opposition. Will be hard to get by if she pinches a break on them. Race 11 – No. 7 West On Archer A winner in his past two outings when jumping from this draw, both in solid times. Does like to use plenty of the track but he will be hitting the line hard and can find his best again in this. Race 12 – No. 2 Hazelhurst Her race was over when she couldn’t find the front on Tuesday, finishing at the rear in similar company. Prior to that she led for a long way from similar draws to this and in good times. Will be in this for a long way again. Bet Now! Bet Now!
