Michael McDermott’s Weekend Greyhound Preview Posted on October 8, 2021October 8, 2021 | Posted by Michael McDermott Mandurah Friday, 8th October 2021 Race 5 – No. 6 Stanga Moose Won 8 straight prior to a luckless 7th last week in a Mandurah Cup heat. Best to overlook that run and expect him to continue on his winning ways back over his pet distance. Race 6 – No. 1 Quartararo Not that he needs one but grows an extra leg from the cherry, saluting in all 6 outings from the draw over 490m. His biggest dangers have all drawn to find trouble early on and if he jumps well and holds a forward position, his rivals will have a hard time giving him the go by. Race 8 – No. 1 Energetic Bounded back into winning form with an all the way win here in easier Country company when second up from a spell. This field has more depth but he does have his favourite rug and he can go on with the job now. Each Way: Race 2 – No. 1 Sticker Sparkles His only win in WA was over this trip and from this draw, racing away for a 4 length in a smaller line up, posting a smart 27.55. Had excuses in a Mandurah Cup heat last week and can give cheek here with improvement at box rise. Quaddie (Race 5 to 8): 6.8 / 1.5.7 / 2.3.7 / 1.2.4.7 $50 for 69.44% Bet Now! Bet Now! Cannington Saturday, 9th October 2021 Race 1 – No. 1 Wise Dohne Makes her 520m debut after narrowly missing at a big price over 320m last start. Recently trialled in 30.53 when jumping well enough to suggest she can hold the lead from the handy draw and won’t need to go much quicker to take this out. Race 8 – No. 8 Fire Cloud Game in defeat when second throughout in the WA Bred Championship Final from the opposite side of the draw. Freshened up and has the early toe to overcome the outside alley. Will be in it for a long way again. Race 12 – No. 1 Weblec Bloom She has been seen finishing her races off stoutly over shorter but when stepping out over this journey, she has only manages to salute once in 10 tries. Drawn well though and the small line up will suit. Overdue and this is her best chance yet. Each Way: Race 11 – No. 8 Hecton’s Boy Ran on well late in the rain to just miss 3rd, equalising his PB of 30.28. First start in the pink which will test but if staying out of traffic, he can finish strongly again and bob up at a favourable quote. Quaddie (Race 5 to 8): 1.2.3.4 / 1.4.5.8 / 1.4.6 / 3.7.8 $50 for 34.72% Trifecta – Race 3 3.4 / 3.4 / 1.2.5 $30 for 500% First Four – Race 9 2 / 4 / 1.8 / 1.8 $50 for 2500% Bet Now! Bet Now! Cannington Sunday, 11th October 2021 Race 4 – No. 7 Easy Kuna Showed ability with a fast-finishing trial win over this trip, breaking 22 seconds and saluting by almost 3 lengths. Tougher on debut, especially from the wide draw but will be hard to hold out at the finish with average luck in transit. Race 5 – No. 6 Kody Talks Unbeaten in two runs in WA and dominant in his most recent, scoring by over 5 lengths in a slick 17.02 at Mandurah over 302m. Yet to feature on the podium in 8 runs in green but local efforts suggest that’ll be changing here. Race 6 – No. 7 Global Bliss Slick beginner who has placed in all three attempts at the 380m trip. Aided by an abundance of speed to her inside and should be prominent throughout. Can be the one to take advantage of others misfortunes. Strong claims. Bet Now! Bet Now!
