Michael McDermott’s Weekend Greyhound Preview Posted on August 6, 2021August 6, 2021 | Posted by Michael McDermott Mandurah Friday, 6th August 2021 Race 7 – No. 1 Unsee This Makes his Mandurah debut but has drawn ideally in the red and brings with him some outstanding form from headquarters. Only back luck at box rise would see him miss a podium finish. Race 8 – No. 8 Phantom Monelli No luck in running last week when tardily away from the opposite side of the draw and getting flushed out the back shortly after the 302m boxes. Gets plenty of room to move from this alley. Can make amends. Race 9 – No. 7 Gangnam Monelli Saluted for the first time in over a month with a strong all the way 22.65 win in slightly easier company last week. Relishes wide draws and can go on with the job now. Each Way: Race 6 – No. 3 Got The Chops Returned to racing with a modest 5th over the 405m last week but will have stripped fitter for the run and does take his place in the weakest heat of the Kanyana Cup. Has won second up in the past at double-figure odds and should give this a real shake. Quaddie (Race 5 to 8): 1.4.5.8 / 1.3.4.7.8 / 1.4.8 / 1.2.8 $50 for 27.77% Bet Now! Bet Now! Cannington Saturday, 9th August 2021 Race 4 – No. 4 West On Brae Too slick for his rivals when leading all the way from a similar draw in a BON 29.95 at his first crack at FFA company last week. Won’t find this much tougher and looks set to double up with another brisk exit from the boxes. Race 7 – No. 4 We The People Boasts impressive last to first wins either side of an uncharacteristic 4th placed effort over the trip, defeating Mandurah Middle Distance Challenge winner Rostered Off. Won’t find this any tougher and looks the one to beat again. Race 9 – No. 6 Ruby Monelli Slick beginner who has found nothing but trouble at her past couple into the first turn. If her confidence hasn’t taken a hit, she is more than able to find the top or near-enough to and from then on, prove hard to beat at the finish. Each Way: Race 8 – No. 5 Jailbreak Guess Ran on strongly from a long way back for 3rd last week when using the inside draw to her advantage, avoiding trouble and saving plenty of ground. Tougher from this alley but similar racing luck can see her go much closer in this line up. Quaddie (Race 5 to 8): 2.4 / 1.2.4.8 / 1.4 / 1.4.5.6 $50 for 78.12% Trifecta – Race 9 1.3.4.6.7 / 1.3.4.6.7 / 1.2.3.4.6.7.8 $30 for 30% First Four – Race 4 4 / 1.2.3 / 1.2.3.5.8 / 1.2.3.5.8 $50 for 138.88% Bet Now! Bet Now! Mandurah Sunday, 8th August 2021 Race 3 – No. 5 Ruby Red Lomar Game in defeat when narrowly beaten in 3rd on Tuesday when racing prominently throughout. The only runner to break 28 seconds in this line up and has done so in each of her past four runs over the trip. Gets her chance the break the drought in this. Race 8 – No. 1 Canya Moonshine Has found the extra 30m at headquarters a bit too far when leading a long way before running out of puff at his past couple of 520m outings. Drops right back to the 405m and has drawn perfectly in red. Will prove hard to catch this time. Race 11 – No. 5 Broome Time Good without winning when just behind placegetters last start against some strong opposition. Prior to that he was a back to back winner in slick times and should find this more to his liking. Can find his winning best. Bet Now! Bet Now!
