Race 4 – No. 4  Straw Bear

Dropped back to this grade last week when showed plenty of early toe when vying for the lead before finding trouble and finishing toward the rear. Looked set to play a big part in the finish on that occasion and with a similar jump here, he can make amends.

Race 7 – No. 7  Pixie Monelli

Mixing form at varying tracks and distances but she was a back to back winner when last over this trip, leading most and all the way in the 27.40’s. Yet to miss a place in 12 runs over the journey and another slick jump an see her earn another gold.

Race 10 – No. 1  Cooper’s Monelli

Last start winner in a PB and BON 27.64. Will relish the red, a draw here he does his best work from, missing the podium just the once in 6 exits so far. Looks set to double up.

Race 6 – No. 1  Classy Riot

Has found full confidence again with an all the way heat win in 22.64. He was an all the way FFA winner from this very draw 7 starts ago in a slick 22.51 and with a clean getaway, he will be strong at the finish and can hold his more fancied rivals at bay at juicy odds.

Cannington Saturday, 24th July 2021

Race 2 – No. 1  Shaka Rock

Led everywhere but the post last start when cut down late in 21.96. Yet to finish further back than 2nd in 4 starts over this trip and should prove too slick these this time around.

Race 5 – No. 7  Mambo Monelli

Back to his best with an all the way 29.88 win from a similar draw last week, racing away to salute by near on 5 lengths. Won’t find this any tougher. Will take a power of beating again.

Race 7 – No. 1  Rippin’ Memphis

Hasn’t seen a draw like this for a long while, starting no closer than box 5 in any of her past 5 outings. A long way down in grade for this as well and if she pings to the early lead, she will take plenty of running down. Go very close this time.

Each Way:

Race 6 – No. 8  Jackson County

Versatile chaser who has been in tip-top form over a variety of distances in recent weeks. Loves this draw and is a recent winner in this very company. Must be respected.

Race 3 – No. 1  Mystify

Unplaced in all of her past 4 but she has had excuses and has yet to miss a place in red. Capable of returning to form with improvement at box rise.

Race 7 – No. 4  Jimmy’s Decision

In search of a hat-trick after back to back Cannington wins in solid times. Unplaced in his only run here but that was in a heat of the Mandurah Derby and he should not find this as tough. Can go on with the job now.

Race 10 – No. 3  Brother Soldier

Former Victorian with the early pace to find the early lead. This line up will give his fitness a test but if he is anywhere near his best, he should prove too strong.
