Michael McDermott’s Weekend Greyhound Preview Posted on March 12, 2021March 12, 2021 | Posted by Michael McDermott Mandurah Friday, 12th March 2021 Race 2 – No. 1 Straw Bear Can be risky early but he is unbeaten in red and is fresh off a PB over this trip on Tuesday in 22.58. Can go on with it now. Race 5 – No. 2 What’s Up Marty Backmarker who has landed on the podium thanks to some powerful finishes over this trip of late. Drawn nicely in stripes and must be considered as a top contender for the main prize once again. Race 6 – No. 6 Harper’s Hero Talented chaser who has been racing in impressive fashion over this trip of late. The wide draw should pose no hurdle. Class should prevail. Each Way: Race 3 – No. 3 Starlight Guess Has done the majority of her racing over longer but when she was tested over this trip earlier in her career, she ripped around here in a slick 22.59. Racing without much luck of late and is worth an Each Way ticket here. Quaddie (Race 5 to 8): 2.3 / 2.6 / 4.6.8 / 1.2.5.6.8 $50 for 83.33% Bet Now! Bet Now! Cannington Saturday, 13th March 2021 Race 5 – No. 5 Aston Thunder Capable of leaving the boxes in a hurry and can handle awkward draws. Won’t find this much tougher than recent outings and should make his presence strongly felt once more. Race 8 – No. 1 We The People Has finished in and around the placings in all of her last six starts including a 3rd over this trip at her most recent outing. A bit on the slow side early but once she fully winds up, she’ll be hard to hold out. Race 10 – No. 3 Jumbo Jet Racing in strong form at a variety of Tracks/Distances from an assemblage of draws. Suited by modest beginners either side and if landing the top, his rivals won’t get near him. Each Way: Race 6 – No. 8 Canya Cruise Gave plenty of cheek at his first local 520m outing, leading everywhere but the post when cut down late by RAMBO’S BOY (6) in 30.01. A similar effort should see him give his followers a great sight again. Upset looms. Quaddie (Race 5 to 8): 1.3.5 / 1.2.7.8 / 1.2.4.8 / 1.4.5.7 $50 for 26.04% Trifecta – Race 1 4 / 7 / 1.2.3.6 $4 for 100% First Four – Race 10 3 / 4 / 1.2.5.6 / 1.2.5.6.7.8 $50 for 250% Bet Now! Bet Now! Cannington Sunday, 14th March 2021 Race 6 – No. 1 Vapour Blaze Found a bit of form on Wednesday when second throughout on debut over the trip in a sound 22.05. The improved draw helps his cause and gets his chance to go one better. Race 7 – No. 8 Alamosa Bill Making his Cannington debut after some mixed reviews at Mandurah over varying distances. Has handled a similar trip in Victoria well enough to suggest he’ll be a force to be reckoned with in this line up. Race 10 – No. 7 Galazio Racing below his best of late but he did salute in his only outing over this journey when racing prominently throughout back in December. Can recapture his best if he avoids and trouble in running. Bet Now! Bet Now!
