Michael McDermott’s Weekend Greyhound Preview Posted on March 5, 2021March 5, 2021 | Posted by Michael McDermott Mandurah Friday, 5th March 2021 Race 7 – No. 8 Aston Peroni Landed his first win locally after six attempts, saluting in an impressive 22.49 when leading all the way. Tougher out wider but can double up with confidence on his side. Race 8 – No. 2 Curt Lee Has been racing below his best recently but gets right down in the grades now and does draw favourably for this. A swift form turnaround is expected in this company. Race 10 – No. 1 Ideal Fantasy Making his short course debut but has shown plenty of early dash over the longer trips and does do his best work from this alley. Tough to beat if he pings to the early lead. Each Way: Race 6 – No. 1 Overbite No further back than second in two runs over this trip, albeit in much easier company. Should get a favourable run along the rails and will be strong at this finish. Capable of the upset if the right gaps appear. Quaddie (Race 5 to 8): 1.3.7.8 / 1.5.6.8 / 1.8 / 2 $50 for 156.25% Bet Now! Bet Now! Cannington Saturday, 6th March 2021 Race 4 – No. 6 Rambo’s Boy Well supported from the cherry last week but was put out of play early and lost plenty of momentum. Better suited out wider and is capable of making amends. Race 5 – No. 1 More Deductions The class runner who has struck form over the longer 600m of late. Yet to miss the podium in red and can go all the way if he gets it right at box rise. Race 12 – No. 7 We The People Consistent chaser who possesses a powerful finish. Has only topped the podium once in four tries over this journey and does bump into a handy line up but with luck in running she should give this a real shake. Each Way: Race 10 – No. 7 Minnie’s Monelli Hasn’t won for a while but the change of scenery may help spark her back into gear. Should be in this a long way with her best jump. Quaddie (Race 5 to 8): 1.5 / 3.6.8 / 1.2.6.7 / 1.2.3.6 $50 for 52.08% Trifecta – Race 5 1.5 / 1.2.5.6.8 / 1.2.5.6.8 $30 for 125% First Four – Race 4 4.6 / 4.6 / 1.2.3.7 / 1.2.3.5.7.8 $50 for 125% Bet Now! Bet Now! Mandurah Sunday, 7th March 2021 Race 6 – No. 5 Jet Jackson Former NSW chaser who is a prolific winner over similar trips. Possesses plenty of early pace and can handle the awkward draw. Worth supporting in his WA debut. Race 8 – No. 4 Butcher Bird Will find this easier than recent outings over a variety of Tracks/Distances. Back to Country company and her only win over the trip was from this very draw. Take holding out. Race 11 – No. 1 Jaro Bale Back to his best with a smart 27.73 win from this draw in this very company. This field has more depth but looks hard to stop again now his has regained his confidence.
