Michael McDermott’s Weekend Greyhound Preview Posted on July 17, 2020 | Posted by Michael McDermott Mandurah Friday, 17th July 2020 Race 5 – No. 1 Son Of Jamaica Speed machine racing well in easier company. Has the advantage of the inside draw and should give plenty of cheek in his toughest test to date. Race 10 – No. 1 Porsche Monelli Risky early but he will find this line up more to his liking. Can settle close to the speed from the handy draw and he will be hard to hold out at the business end. Race 12 – No. 4 Duck Norris Went hard early when pinching a big break but ran out of puff and was nabbed near the line to finish 3rd in 22.96. Prior to that he won 3 in a row in good time so don’t jump off yet. Can make amends. Each Way: Race 4 – No. 2 Zipping Aspen Capable of a good jump and placed in all three runs in stripes. Recent form has been a mixed bag over a variety of distances but if she can cross to the rails early, she’ll be in this a long way. Quaddie (Race 5 to 8): 1.2.5.6 / 1.2 / 3.6 / 3 $16 for 100% Bet Now! Bet Now! Cannington Saturday, 18th July 2020 Race 2 – No. 8 Mild Marcus Led all the way for his only win from this very draw in a heat of the Winter Maiden Classic before finding all sorts of bother in the Final from an unsuitable draw a month ago. Hasn’t been seen since but looks hard to hold out from this draw. Race 5 – No. 2 Sunset Kodiak Gave plenty of cheek in a small line up from this draw when leading a long way for 2nd in 30.24. Modest beginners either side so she should find the top again and can go one better. Race 10 – No. 7 Chimera Monelli Led for a long way when 2nd in the Paradise Street Trophy when last seen over the trip and won’t find this as tough. Can bounce back to his best in this. Each Way: Race 6 – No. 2 Blue Summer Sky Stayer who has saluted over this trip on numerous occasions in NSW. Returns from an injury enforced layoff and will need the run but will be poking through late with purpose if he anywhere near them on the turn for home. Quaddie (Race 5 to 8): 2.7.8 / 1.2.4.7 / 1.2 / 2.4.8 $50 for 69.44% Trifecta – Race 10 7 / 1.2.3.6 / 1.2.3.6 $30 for 250% First Four – Race 3 1 / 2.4.5.8 / 2.4.5.8 / 2.3.4.5.6.8 $50 for 104.16% Bet Now! Cannington Saturday, 19th July 2020 Race 4 – No. 2 We The People Impressive without winning on debut in WA when steaming home from the rear to just miss out on silver over the 490m at Mandurah. The extra 30m will suit and she should prove too strong for this line up. Race 7 – No. 6 Classy Riot Unbeaten since dropping to this trip, producing a slick hat trick of wins. Can handle the draw and will take a power of beating again. Race 9 – No. 1 Try Catch Me Former NSW chaser who has finished no further back than 4th in his 14 starts so far. Drawn favourably and should go mighty close to winning in his WA debut. Bet Now! Bet Now!
