Race 1

QUINTON (3) gets another good opportunity here to be forward and run a big race. His performance 2 starts ago would be suggesting a victory but was a beaten favourite last time out. LUCI KANE (1) is a good miler and has the perfect draw to play a part but being first up and with a sprint lane in operation I thought they may take the soft option. I CROSS MY HEART (7) has drawn to get a good run and will be dangerous late if the tempo is solid. MAXIMUM ROCK (2) trialled well for the new stable and can figure in the novelties along with RELATIVELY ARMA (10) who has drawn awkwardly.

Tips: 3 1 7 2

Suggested Bet: QUINTON (3) to win.

Race 2

Open race. FIORD (9) has always been a horse I’ve had time for, he is first up today and when there is a race of many chances I am happy to select him at some value because he invariably runs well. ROCKNROLL SPIRIT (6) is holding consistent form and looks a winning chance again but had a big opportunity last start and couldn’t hold them off. CANDILLO (2) is a novelty prospect with GEARSINAWHIRL (4) who I prefer at shorter but his trial and last run have suggested he will run well here. READY TO ATTACK (1) can improve but form hasn’t been all that encouraging. Chances to IMMACHULATE (8) and TRITTRITTBANGBANG (10) as well. Tough race.

Suggested Bet: FIORD (9) each way.

Race 3

COVERNOTE (9) can watch things unfold and then make runs from there, he looks quite hard to beat in this race with his last 3 wins being impressive. WORLDS ABOVE (7) was freshened up with his last start effort behind a nice field and has talent, expecting to run strongly here. SPUDMEISTER (1) has returned soundly and can run into the money, he is likely to dispute the lead early with SOHO CONFIDENTIAL (2) who won last time out but prefer him at shorter. SHES A MARE (6) has a wide draw to overcome but is probably better suited at this grade.

Suggested Bet: WORLDS ABOVE (7) each way.

Race 4

SEAGRASS (1) has the perfect draw and was a winner two starts ago when leading, looks the likely leader here and should be hard to get by. COURAGE OF LOMBO (7) has the perfect draw and looks to be a really good place chance. ITS JUSTA SHOTAWAY (2) finds this a bit harder as he will have to do the work but is racing well. IL BANDITO (8) is on WA debut but looks well suited to run into the top 4 from the draw. ZUEDE (9) is racing well but needs a touch of luck from here.

Tips: 1 7 2 9

Suggested Bet: COURAGE OF LOMBO (7) to place.

Race 5

AMERICAN MONARCH (1) gets the lovely draw with early speed and good form, looks hard to beat. EYE BETTER (10) has got a lot of traffic to deal with but is racing in top form and looks one of the main dangers. BREWERY LANE (7) has the ace draw and has been crying out for a race like this, looks a good place chance. TIGER LOU (2) goes up in grade and is a good test for her. BEYOND BLING (3) is a novelty hope with the in form JUSTLIKE TURBO (6) who has a wide draw to overcome. SHEHADI (8) can hug the rail and should be considered a top 4 chance.

Tips: 1 10 7 8

Suggested Bet: BREWERY LANE (7) to place.

Race 6

MAJOR JAY (3) has the good draw, good speed and race fitness and consistent form to carry on with another victory. He is racing strongly and looks to have found another suitable assignment. LOUCID DREAMS (10) drops in grade noticeably and can do work in his events, could get a bit tricky but has talent. DARDY BOY (4) is a quick beginner but is on return and drawn along side Major Jay makes things harder. BARBADOS (5) can do work in his races and stick on, novelty prospect. TORREVEAN AMY (1) can make use of her draw and figure into the novelties.

Tips: 3 10 5 4

Suggested Bet: MAJOR JAY (3) to win.

Race 7 

CALIENTE (9) has a lot of ability and normally steps like a bullet, even being first up in a capacity field he looks the winner for mine. YOUR GRACE (2) was better last time out and can figure into the placings. GOODONYA MATE (6) can run into the money as he has been consistent. GOTA GOOD WARHOL (8) is holding good consistency but back to a stand could be a slight concern. Play wider in your novelties as their could be some value pop up, many chances but think they are all running for second here.

Suggested Bet: CALIENTE (9) to win.

Race 8

LADY VALASCA (4) was quite unlucky last start and if anything showed how close to a win she is, this looks a suitable grade and think she can get the job done. RISING SPIRIT (5) is on the backup from a win on Saturday night and can carry on the form with another strong performance here. DWAYNE (9) better suited driven sit kick, expect him to run home strongly. WHOZ THIS (1) now third up can figure as a novelty prospect along with ALEXANDRA THEGREAT (7) who is better draw to feature.

Tips: 4 5 9 7

Suggested Bet: LADY VALASCA (4) to win.

Race 9

PECUNIOUS (7) has been racing well without much reward, it is a bit of a tricky draw but can feature strongly in this with a bit of racing luck. PUSHBUTTON ROCK (4) has had a few opportunities to break through and looks to be a decent chance again but has lacked the killer blow recently. JUST ALL STYLE (8) can figure at value into the novelties. SYNCOPATION (9) will be running on well, was better last run. TORREVEAN PINKY (2) is a novelty chance from the good draw.

Tips: 7 4 8 9

Suggested Bet: PECUNIOUS (7) to win.
