Matt Young’s Tuesday Gloucester Park Preview Posted on July 13, 2026July 14, 2026 | Posted by Matt Young Race 1 COPPER FINE (1) has the nice draw second up and wasn’t a bad effort on return, looks a big one paced type who should run a bold race here. BET IM HOT (6) looks the danger but is coming in fresh, looks to have high speed that can really bring him into it from any position and form last prep was solid for a race of this nature. PARAGLIDER (2) has drawn in close but not racing as well as he was 4-5 starts ago, novelty chance. TSUNAMI WAVE (3) trialled up well and can be around the money with ROMAN GUARD (5). Tips: 1 6 3 2 Suggested Bet: COPPER FINE/BET IM HOT to Quinella. Race 2 Open race. BULL SHARK BETTY (7) made up a lot of ground after missing away from the stand last start and thought she wasn’t a bad effort considering and was a winner before that, give her a chance in a race full of chances. WICKED LOVER (6) is capable but can mix her form, respect in this. LAZARUS STAR (5) has shown promise in the past and is first up for the new stable, respect. VYBRANT (2) racing well and is always a chance but she’s hard to get up and about for with a lack of early speed. MISS STEFANI (3) best is good enough and STELLA MAJOR (4) could improve. Tips: 7 6 5 2 Suggested Bet: BULL SHARK BETTY (7) each way. Race 3 Could be a bit happening in this. MORE SASS (1) wanted to lead first up and has the draw and a run under her belt to try and do that again, her best is capable in this. SPUDMEISTER (4) hit the line well last time out and likely to come firing out, if he led, he would probably win but unsure that he can cross. SHES A TINY DANCER (5) doesn’t win out of turn but has good closing speed which can see her nearly overcome a potentially tricky map, wouldn’t want to be diving in too short though. SOUND WAVE (3) got too far out of his ground last time out but looks a chance in this and will be close enough. BEACH CAPTAIN (2) has improved recently and must be respected, can do work. TWOBOB CRACKER (6) and HENRIK LARSSON (8) not at their best currently but are capable. Tips: 3 5 4 1 Suggested Bet: SOUND WAVE (3) each way. Race 4 RAKERO RAIDER (4) is ready to run a big race, should get into a good position and looks hard to hold out. WHEN IN VEGAS (8) is a quick beginner and could try and fire out here and get to the lead, if he leads, he will win this but there is a fair deal of risk v reward attached to that with IDEAL TOMADO (3) a quick beginner drawn down lower and although not going as well as he can may look to use the draw. FLY TO THE FINISH (6) can also fly out and be prominent early. BLAZE AWAY (7) was crossed on Friday, his form is good, but he is finding it hard to break through. BURGHLEY SHARD (5) racing well, will play the percentages and is a must for novelties. Tips: 4 7 8 5 Suggested Bet: RAKERO RAIDER (4) to win. Race 5 DUNCAN TWENTYTWO (5) can be driven off the arm and look for the top here and I think is he leads it could be Duncan’s time to shine, looks a suitable grade and he’s not been having much luck coming from the back of the field. JACK CARROWACK (2) nicely drawn, early speed a slight concern but looks to have some ability, won’t take long to break maiden status. CANELO (7) won’t get the luxury of leading here and that makes the task infinitely harder, racing soundly though. WANDERIN STAR (6) likely heads forward and settles in the first few and will run a solid race. Tips: 5 2 6 7 Suggested Bet: DUNCAN TWENTYTWO (5) to win. Race 6 SHEZA BROMAC (4) is a quick beginner and can charge across and lead here and from there can be in control, trial was sound but should bounce off that well and looks hard to run down. MADAM TIGER (2) has good early speed and will be doing her best, she is racing consistently. ELLEOFAREACTOR (1) drawn ideally and should be close enough and is racing well. MAJOR BUZZ (5) will settle just off the speed and run on well, nice effort on Saturday. FUEGO CRUZADO (3) is a novelty chance with SOHO CONFIDENTIAL (9) who can run into the top 4 even from the draw. Tips: 4 5 2 1 Suggested Bet: SHEZA BROMAC (4) to win. Race 7 Tricky race. FIORD (1) is ready to win but isn’t known for his early brilliance which could put him in a spot of bother. SHES ALL GO (2) returns and isn’t known for her early speed either, but her best is good enough to feature. MONTERIO (3) is a reasonable beginner and is a much better type when leading, could get that opportunity tonight. BEALAWYER (4) is consistent, looked the winner last week but peaked late, should be close enough with ZUEDE (5) who hit the line well on return, suitable grade and fitter. JOE WITH THE FLOW (7) faces a difficult draw with VISITING HOURS (8) and the returning OURFIRSTIMPRESSION (6). Tips: 3 1 5 4 Suggested Bet: MONTERIO (3) to win. Race 8 MCGEE (5) looks to step and keep the advantage on his rivals and continues to dominate, the horse to beat again. MYSTERY FRED (6) appears better suited at the longer distances and can get into the money again. MAJESTIC GA GA (8) strips fitter for the first up effort but faces the 60m back mark against quality trotters and LUVAFLAIR (7) was a good effort last start but 60m hurts her chances of winning. LOTS OF CHANGE (3) can run top 4. Tips: 5 6 8 7 Suggested Bet: MCGEE (5) to win. Race 9 SPINNER OF YARNS (1) has the good draw and is second up, not a deep race and can improve here sharply, expected to go well and will need to be at his best to lead as he isn’t known for his early brilliance. BETTOR BE BUCKS (2) deserved winner last time out, should be close enough and has been racing consistently. ALLWOODS CHEVRON (6) was doing his best work late last time out but needs some tempo to bring him into it with JORDANO (5) not racing at his best, suitable grade to improve but last few have been just sound. THREE FLAMES (4) and IDEAL WHITBY (8) novelty chances. Tips: 1 2 6 5 Suggested Bet: SPINNER OF YARNS (1) to win. Market Market
