Matt Young’s Tuesday Gloucester Park Preview Posted on October 20, 2025October 20, 2025 | Posted by Matt Young Race 1 MIKI WINDERMERE (9) is a horse who can do plenty of work in his races and this grade looks suitable, can watch things unfold before being put into the race and from there is going to be hard to hold out. ROCKSTAR QUALITY (6) was solid in his only run for the stable, but the draw is awkward and he’s been a few weeks in between runs. MORE THAN HONOURED (3) is up in grade but now that he’s broken through, he might elevate. THE SWINDLER (4) lacks tactical speed but has always shown ability. TORREVEAN PINKY (7) and CHIEF COPY (10) are novelty chances. Tips: 9 6 3 4 Suggested Bet: MIKI WINDERMERE (9) to win. Race 2 REELEM INN (6) is racing well and has very good early speed, expecting that she can cross to the top and has options from there but think she will run a big race. Stablemate WATCH ME WAVE (11) is racing in good form; she has really come on in recent runs and looks the big threat. MYDADTHETERROR (12) hit the line well last time out and expect him to be running on well. SONIC CHIP (1) is a place chance from the draw. JILLIBY JAKE (4) is a novelty chance, he doesn’t get out the gate as well as he did a few seasons ago but should be included in the multiples with LORD PUBLISHER (7), MAJOR MANHATTAN (9) and LUKES MISTAKE (8). Tips: 6 11 12 7 Suggested Bet: REELEM INN (6) each way. Race 3 THE WILDCARD (2) comes into this and ticks a lot of boxes, he has an abundance of speed and looks the leader and will relish the distance, think he is ready to run a big race. COLD HARD CASH (10) needs some luck from the draw but the grade suits and he will be dangerous late. ON THE BACK FOOT (1) is a place chance from the draw, should get a soft run. BENJI (3) has the ability but is second up and will be fresh, FLEUR DU MAQUIS (4) is capable of a forward showing in this, could be close to the speed. MY COPY (5) creates interest but hasn’t done anything to be excited about since coming to WA. ELWADDELL (12) will be running home strongly. Tips: 2 10 12 1 Suggested Bet: THE WILDCARD (2) to win. Race 4 CHERRY ON THE CAKE (2) has the early speed to lead and can run a big race, she was disappointing last time out but can bounce back and her win two starts ago was very good. SIANGDI (5) is very consistent and can settle close enough to them, she should be in the money again. ITSOKTOBEGREY (3) has a nice draw and looks a top 3 finisher from that position. STATE MY CASE (7) is racing well and will be running on but needs some tempo on with ELIZABETH AITCH (9) who is a novelty chance. Tips: 2 5 3 7 Suggested Bet: CHERRY ON THE CAKE (2) to win. Race 5 IN FULL FLIGHT (8) has a lot of high speed and think the drop back to 1730m is really going to suit her here, has plenty of gate speed and looks hard to beat, especially if she could lead, she has the right pilot to launch out. PET SHOP ADDA (4) has ability and continues to improve, early speed may be her main concern in a busy start. INSURGENCY (5) has shown good promise, will be heading forward and is a major player if she could hold the top. CHEFS KISS (6) has ability, tricky draw. DROP THE ACE (9) is a speedy type but has a lot of gate speed underneath her after the good recent win. Tips: 8 5 4 6 Suggested Bet: IN FULL FLIGHT (8) to win. Race 6 Open race here. LETS ROCK TONIGHT (9) has depth that is needed to win from the draw, could be a bit happening early and will run well again. GOOD TIMES AHEAD (1) has the nice draw and can feature in the money with his early speed, form has been sound. SPINNER OF YARNS (2) can run into the money; he’s been sound as of late. SONIC SEELSTER (3) is speedy but prefer over shorter. ZUEDE (4) is oh so consistent and can get into the money. METEOROID (6) going well enough to feature but needs luck from the draw. TRITTRITTBANGBANG (5) was better last run but up in distance makes his task harder. Tips: 9 1 6 2 Suggested Bet: GOOD TIMES AHEAD (1) to place. Race 7 Intriguing race. HURRICANEHOPE (5) racing well enough but go around under the odds in this, may have to do some work. CARA DIANA (4) may look to be driven to try and lead and has been consistent for a long portion of this campaign and can feature again. PHILTHEJUG (7) is capable in this grade, draw makes it a touch trickier. FOLLOW MY STRIDE (8) won the race that was expected last time out but it was unorthodox, her last couple have been better and will be running on again, could be dangerous. SHES MY LITTLE GEM (2) has yet to fire since coming to WA but has the key draw. LUCY VICTORIA (9) has a horror draw but trialled well enough to be a top 4 player in this open race. Tips: 8 4 5 7 Suggested Bet: FOLLOW MY STRIDE (8) each way. Race 8 DUNKALLEDY (7) was very good in his win at Pinjarra, 3 wide for the first lap before going to the top and running away from them in 1.56, looks hard to beat again. FULL SWING DENARIO (8) hit the line well in a prelude to the Derby, expecting him to run a big race. LAZARUS STAR (2) can mix his form but has good early speed and holds the key to the race. LOU LAMOUR (4) has plenty of speed and is better suited with this map, could potentially lead and has options. WHEN IN VEGAS (9) will find this much harder from the draw but must be respected. Tips: 7 8 4 2 Suggested Bet: DUNKALLEDY (7) to win. Race 9 KOOJAN (6) creates interest coming in first up but has trialled up well recently behind metro winner Franco Sheriff, expecting a solid return and has the draw advantage over his main rival in GAMETIME (7) who hit the line well last start and has shown promise, keep safe. BUT JOE (4) has also shown ability and could have a solid preparation this time in, one to follow. LUNAR MISS (3) is a novelty chance with BOOM IT UP (2). Tips: 6 7 4 3 Suggested Bet: KOOJAN (6) to win. Market Market
