Matt Young’s Tuesday Gloucester Park Preview Posted on June 17, 2025June 17, 2025 | Posted by Matt Young Race 1 MACH FREEWAY (10) is improving and is still learning the racing game, looks hard to beat again but likely to be strong in the market again. LOVE OF MINE (2) is also improving, better suited back to maiden grade. CARA DIANA (1) has the ideal draw to improve; she performs better on speed and will be close enough. DANGER (3) is improving and showing good early speed, could nearly lead and run well. MALDAZA (4) and ZIGGY VERMEER (7) are next best. Tips: 10 1 3 2 Suggested Bet: CARA DIANA (1) to place. Race 2 MIKIS PRIDE (4) has shown good ability and returns here in a winnable race, will go well but whatever he does he will improve on. LADY DELA HOYA (2) has good early speed, she has got a bit of a flighty attitude and has drawn back into the field so the start is a query, if she led she will run a bold race, last run was much better. TIGER LOU (1) can be placed, bit plain last time out. CLASSNSMART (3) is a novelty chance also, likely goes down to the marker pegs. RAJAH ROCKS (7) was better last run and can build confidence again with a sit sprint run, he will be running on with BEYOND BLING (9) Tips: 4 2 1 9 Suggested Bet: LADY DELA HOYA (2) each way. Race 3 Good competitive race here. FRANKIE J HOLDEN (5) was a good run last time out and can do the work necessary to win the race, will head forward and go well. CABERNEIGH (8) looks a major player with his versatility. BETTOR HAVE FAITH (1) ideally drawn, will settle close enough and run well with even luck. SOHO VESPER LIND (2) has yet to recapture her best form. SWAGGER MAN (4) is knocking on the door, and this grade looks to suit, may be driven aggressively in this. DARK EYES (6) had no luck on Friday before going back to last, is also versatile. CODENAME MARCUS (9) drops in grade but must overcome the horror draw, many chances in this. Tips: 5 8 4 1 Suggested Bet: FRANKIE J HOLDEN (5) each way. Race 4 THE BETTOR SIDE (8) comes in with good claims with the scratching now, he is versatile and will go well in this. CIGANDA (2) looks ideally drawn and has early speed, had no luck last run and looks a good place chance. ART IDEAL (9) creates interest in his WA debut but has drawn the river. BASINGHALL (12) looks a novelty chance from the challenging draw with PRINCE OF TRIBECA (7) who was better last time out. KINKY (5) I am happy to watch on return, was doing things wrong from the start last time in, has ability but likely to be short enough given the “Bond” factor. Tips: 8 2 12 5 Suggested Bet: CIGANDA (2) to place. Race 5 GOTA GOOD WARHOL (1) has the draw to show his best early speed and lead, he should’ve won on Friday night at Northam but couldn’t put them away, looks hard to get past if he can lead. SUN AND SAND (10) has the ideal draw and should get the last crack at them, dangerous. PACIFIC EAGLE (2) can run a better race from the improved draw. IDEAL IVANA (3) is a novelty chance, lacks early speed though with ZUEDE (6) who is ready to win but as always, he needs luck. THIS TIME JACKO (7) drops in grade on his last run; draw is awkward though. CODENAME ELLIOT (11) is a novelty chance along with DEE JAYS BIG BOY (4). Tips: 1 10 7 2 Suggested Bet: SUN AND SAND (10) each way. Race 6 DAWSON (10) has really started to hit his straps and looks hard to beat again, is sustaining the runs and can hold consistency. HENRIK LARSSON (9) is very talented but is on return and may need the run but can figure in the finish. YANKEE LINCOLN (2) is racing well, can ping to the lead early and will run well. CHEDDAR IS BETTER (3) didn’t have much luck on return and strips fitter for the run. AWAITINGINSTRUCTIONS (4) is an outside chance if the race is run to suit. GEE SMITH (8) was bold in his last victory, back to form and can go on with it. Tips: 10 9 2 3 Suggested Bet: DAWSON (10) to win. Race 7 SYNCHRONIZER (1) has come back well, has good early speed and looks the likely leader in this and from there will go very close. SIDSTREPO (5) will sit mid pack and be charging home, he doesn’t win out of turn but features in the money often. IDEALINCIDER (2) is a novelty chance from the perfect draw. YOU FLY WITH ME (6) will be running on with JAMIE KIM (9) who went well at Narrogin. JOE WITH THE FLOW (4) is improving with more fitness. Tips: 1 5 2 6 Suggested Bet: SYNCHRONIZER (1) to win. Race 8 SPORTING GRACE (6) looks an each way chance here, she has been consistent and there could be some speed in the early stages which will suit her. JOLTED CHARM (4) on the back up from Friday, she disappointed there but this grade suits. CHERRY ON THE CAKE (5) is a capable type and strips fitter, winning chance if she can cross. SHEHADI (7) will be running on but is mixing her form also. VYBRANT (2) is a novelty chance. OUR SWEET POPPY (8) looks to have ability but has a litany of issues thus far in her career, she is way to short from the draw in my opinion to be a backable commodity. Tips: 6 4 2 5 Suggested Bet: SPORTING GRACE (6) each way. Market Market
