Matt Young’s Saturday Narrogin Preview Posted on June 13, 2025June 13, 2025 | Posted by Matt Young Race 1 KINSAABI (6) looks to have found a suitable race, he drops in grade and can do some work at certain stages but wouldn’t want to be diving in too short about him as he doesn’t win out of turn. ALTA KING (3) has the ability, hasn’t set the world on fire with recent trials and his return run but his best is well and truly up to these, expect improvement. GRIN DESTINY (1) can be placed but the horses mixes form dramatically. GINNIVAN (7) drops in grade and looks set to get a nice run, can slice through into the money. MAJOR BUZZ (5) has been racing well but the draw makes things tougher for him. SPEED FORCE (8), ELEPHANT ROCK (9) and GALEOCERDO CUVIER (10) are all chances in an open race, but they are most likely to be driven for one run. Tips: 6 3 7 1 Suggested Bet: GINNIVAN (7) to place. Race 2 ASHIMA (2) looks to have found a nice race, looked the likely leader and loves to be on speed so she has options from the draw, should run a bold race. DANNIKA (6) on the quick 24-hour backup, pay attention to her run at Northam but I do think she’s trending in the right direction. SWANBOURNE SPUNK (5) has elevated recently but like his stablemate in the opening event, he faces a tricky draw. JUST A HAPPY MAN (3) was solid two starts ago and then disappointed last run, not the worst in this. SANFORD BART (7) can run on well and is a novelty chance with JORDANO (9). Tips: 2 5 6 7 Suggested Bet: ASHIMA (2) each way. Race 3 MY SWEET ADDICTION (5) has been racing in strong consistent form for a while now and has the advantage over the main rivals, she can be driven like the best horse and looks very hard to beat. BROOKVALEGIRL (1) is fitter for the first up run and does have options from the draw, bold front running type, respect. CRETACEOUS (8) is racing well, each way chance again, will be getting home from the back with HARRYS A ROCKSTAR (9) who’s form is hard to line up but is with a good trainer stable so must be respected. NEVERTELLMETHEODDS (7) and LOCAL RESIDENT (2) are both novelty chances with the former drawn to get a perfect run. Tips: 5 1 9 8 Suggested Bet: MY SWEET ADDICTION (5) to win. Race 4 POCKETFUL OF OPALS (5) drops in grade and can be speared off the arm here and think she can find the top, this field suits and looks hard to beat on how she has been performing against stronger opposition. EKARA NAVAJO (7) creates a lot of interest, coming in off a decent break but has ability, needs some luck on return but keep safe. ALFREDI (6) is consistent and will likely head forward, he does his best work on speed. SKIPPIN CLASS (8) will be running on, he is racing well. KOLISI (10) can do work, but he tends to mix his form, seems to perform better at these tracks. JAMIE KIM (9) novelty chance but will have to come with one run. Tips: 5 7 6 10 Suggested Bet: POCKETFUL OF OPALS (5) to win. Race 5 DAME VALOUR (5) is a nice type on return; she was wonderfully consistent last time in and looks hard to beat in this line up. SEAGRASS (7) hit the line bolting last run and the indication from trainer Corey Peterson in the parade ring interviews on X was that she will derive benefit from that run, expecting her to be finishing off strongly but the draw could work out to be a touch awkward. PUSHBUTTON ROCK (8) has a nice trailing draw and will be storming home, ready to win again. FLEUR DU MAQUIS (6) is getting back to her better form but may have to do the work in the run here. IMAHERO (1) a place to novelty chance from the good draw. LOCH TAY (3) creates interest on return, might need the run but has shown promise. Tips: 5 7 8 1 Suggested Bet: DAME VALOUR (5) to win. Race 6 HOLD THE AMMO (5) is second up and was a strong winner on return, he has always shown above average ability and that just might be the springboard for a great campaign for this smart gelding, go well again here. MAJOR JAY (8) has been racing consistently and can watch things unfold early, versatile. RELLIM (3) was luckless last time out, looked to have something to give, could be cheeky in this. BLING IT UP (6) is showing enough but the draw is challenging and MAJIC BAY (7) was a nice effort in town last time out and can feature into the novelties. Tips: 5 3 8 7 Suggested Bet: HOLD THE AMMO (5) to win. Race 7 GELSOMINO AMAL (8) looked solid in her last 4-5 starts, she sustained the run and was grabbed by what looks to be a smart type in Autumn Lady at Pinjarra, she can watch things unfold here early but looks to have depth and very hard to beat. SHECANPLAY (1) did it at both ends last time out but was grabbed late, has the draw to already be in front this time and will give some cheek but she has had a few opportunities. UP AND ALIVE (5) is a funny horse, she performs well against the better ones and follows speed well but finds it harder in easier grade when called upon to do the work, she is a major player with even luck, but the draw is just a touch awkward. TAYLORS BOY FRED (7) has improved in recent runs and has drawn to get a lovely run, sets up nicely as a novelty player. LUZIA (4) is capable and should be considered into your novelties and happy to watch SHESA DELIGHT (6) was a nice win at Pinjarra on debut, but draw is tough and this looks stronger. Tips: 8 1 5 7 Suggested Bet: GELSOMINO AMAL (8) to win. Market Market
