Matt Young’s Monday Pinjarra Preview Posted on November 10, 2025November 10, 2025 | Posted by Matt Young Race 1 LAVRADORE (2) is normally a reliable beginner and the short course stand suits, he has been racing with great consistency these past few months and looks hard to beat here, doesn’t have to lead to win but would much prefer him out in front. MY LIGHTNING BANNER (12) must overcome the handicap which is never an easy task and has also broken in both runs since coming to WA, still the talent is there and just needs to behave. ARISTOTLE (6) is thereabouts and expect to see him somewhere around the mark with TILTHESUNSETS (5) who has a more difficult task going back 10m. Novelty chances to the quick beginner IM GAVOCHE (4) who is second up today and YOUR KIDDING (7) and KYVALLEY CLICHY (8). Tips: 2 12 6 5 Suggested Bet: LAVRADORE (2) to win. Race 2 TORREVEAN AMY (10) has come back nicely and looks ready to win a race, this event is incredibly wide open, and she is one of many chances, but things could be run to suit her. KARAOKE STAR (9) is a better chance than his numerical form reads up and should get a decent run especially if the tempo suits. HEAVENLY BLISS (1) has options but has good gate speed and will be looking to hold GEARSINAWHIRL (2) and DENNINGTON HEIGHTS (3) who are both quick beginners. HARRYS A ROCKSTAR (7) is racing well but needs a few things to go his way from the wide draw. HONOUR THE EAGLE (8) will be hoping the pole marker leads and if that happens, she is a great chance. Outside chances to IM DRINKINDOUBLES (6) who performs well at the shorts and HOTFOOT IT (11) who is capable in this grade. Tips: 10 8 9 6 Suggested Bet: TORREVEAN AMY (10) each way. Race 3 BEALAWYER (1) gets a good draw and has been racing strongly in these lightning lap events for a while from bad draws, he has options and should be close enough to the speed to be dangerous. SPEED FORCE (7) is flying and will no doubt be heading forward in this, will have to do the work again but good enough to be in the finish. TORREVEAN PINKY (6) must overcome a tricky draw but the grade suits. STRAYLYA (4) has good gate speed and can impose himself early and with more fitness isn’t the worst prospect. PHILTHEJUG (9) is racing consistently, and the draw suggests she won’t be far away and DEE JAYS BIG BOY (10) is right up to these as long as he does everything right, expecting a sharp improvement from him at odds. Tips: 1 7 6 10 Suggested Bet: BEALAWYER (1) each way Race 4 YAWOMA (2) has the draw, has the class, has the speed and has the heart and toughness to lead throughout here and I think he can break through for a much-deserved win, very hard to run down. ARMA BELIEVER (9) has come back well and should position up close enough to them and has a good turn of foot, will go close. SISTER CHERIE (8) nicely drawn but had every chance last time out, won’t miss the money from there you’d say. PETES HONOUR (5) drops in grade and can run a better race but looks set to do some work in the run. BEAT THE BANK (4) racing well and is a novelty chance. Tips: 2 9 8 5 Suggested Bet: YAWOMA (2) to win Race 5 ZLATO (2) couldn’t have asked for a better race here, he has sufficient gate speed to get around and get to the top and excels as a front runner, the race looks perfect for him, but he is likely to come up very short. KOLISI (4) could do the work and stick on although he has been a bit hit and miss lately this looks to suit. THEJEWELINHEREYE (1) is ideally drawn and can improve into the money. HURRICANEHOPE (7) must overcome the tough draw and do plenty of work, she can stick on but looks challenging for her today. Novelty chances to JINGLING JEWELS (6) and CODENAME ELLIOT (9). Tips: 2 4 1 7 Suggested Bet: THEJEWELINHEREYE (1) to place. Race 6 ELITE FLEET (10) had a luckless run in the WA Derby over the longer trip and looks perfectly placed here to take out the Country Derby, the distance suits, the preparation suits and he can do work, looks very hard to hold out. REINETTE (5) has the gate speed to burn on the lead early and she was a big winner in the South West Derby, she looks the one to catch. DOTTIES IMPACT (8) has a lovely draw and will be running on at the right time, strong place claims. AKOYA PEARL (2) has the nice draw now and has plenty of talent, she creates interest in this, early speed is a query. PINJARRA ROCKS (9) must be included into your novelties as he could get a soft run and has a good turn of foot. Tips: 10 5 8 9 Suggested Bet: ELITE FLEET (10) to win. Race 7 Open race. I LIKE WHAT I SEE (3) was quite solid in a recent standing start trial and I am happy to overlook her last run and consider her a strong chance in this, looks to go well. Stable companion BOBBY WATERHOUSE (9) is suited to this grade and expect him to run a big race as he is very consistent. BEACH CAPTAIN (10) hasn’t been the best standing start performer but is racing well and can perform strongly here although the 30m does appear somewhat challenging. BREWERY LANE (7) is well equipped in standing starts to put himself in a striking position to earn. THE WILDCARD (11) will be running on with novelty chances to CALL TO ARMS (4) and LUKES MISTAKE (6). Tips: 3 9 10 7 Suggested Bet: I LIKE WHAT I SEE (3) each way. Race 8 Another open race to finish off. PUSHBUTTON ROCK (11) was well driven to victory in her first run for the new stable, this presents a challenge but also could suit her versatile style, expecting her to run well. ALWAYSBFRANK (4) hasn’t had much luck in recent runs and could potentially work to the top and give them something to catch. LADY VIOLETTA (2) is better suited to this grade, and the draw is solid, could be a notable improver. BETTOR MOVE ALONG (10) has been luckless in recent runs and with any luck he will be right in the money. WALL STREET GIRL (6) is consistent but lacks that early speed to be in a striking position. Novelty chances to JACKIE DANIELS (1), DREAM CONTROL (9) and LORD PUBLISHER (8). Tips: 11 10 2 4 Suggested Bet: BETTOR MOVE ALONG (10) each way. Market Market
