Matt Young’s Monday Pinjarra Preview Posted on October 6, 2025October 6, 2025 | Posted by Matt Young Race 1 ALDEBARAN BOYD (4) has the advantage in handicaps once again and looks to bounce back to the winners list, he can work forward and looks likely to find the top and from there appears hard to run down. MAJESTIC GA GA (6) is better suited to the stand as she over raced noticeably last time out and weakened, should step safely and on the bigger track can rely on her high speed late, won’t be far away. SELLUNE (1) is ideally drawn and racing well, he’s won his last two but does step up in grade, novelty player. LUVAFLAIR (8) must overcome the handicap but over the longer trip it will bring her into it. ALDEBARAN SUNDOWN (2) can be placed but needs a few things to go right. UPTOWN LAD (3) first up and his best is good enough but may need the run. Tips: 4 6 1 8 Suggested Bet: ALDEBARAN BOYD/MAJESTIC GA GA to quinella. Race 2 AMERICAN MACHINE (1) has plenty of talent and gets the good draw today, is doing things a lot better manners wise lately and looks hard to beat from the pole. IN RARE AIR (4) looks a nice type but may have to do the work and should run a bold race but may need the run to tighten him up nicely. CHUGACH (8) has the ideal draw and has been racing well against the best, will be right in the thick of the action. WAVES OF FORTUNE (3) and CRUNCHEM (6) are next best for first four contention. Tips: 1 4 8 3 Suggested Bet: AMERICAN MACHINE (1) to win. Race 3 ARISTOTLE (8) reads up nicely for this race on WA debut; form is solid for a race of this level and looks to justify the shorter quote here. ELISH STAR (5) has good early speed and will no doubt be looking for the top, he is consistent but finding it hard to break back into the winners list. LAVRADORE (3) was a good effort last time out, he can be a bit of a mixed bag when being pushed off the arm. THE BEAT (1) was a good effort after doing things wrong last time out, if he can do things correctly, he could add a lot of value to your novelties. Tips: 8 5 3 1 Suggested Bet: ARISTOTLE (8) to win. Race 4 STAPLETON (6) is racing in good form and has been doing the work in these events and racing well, looks hard to beat in most ways I can see this race being run. THEYCALL ME STOOGE (4) went to the line bolting last time out, he will get the dream run and last crack at them, my only concern for him is that he doesn’t seem to finish races off as well when he is right on speed. GOTA GOOD WARHOL (3) looks the likely leader and will run a bold race, his form has been solid for a while, but he is finding it hard to break through. HOTFOOT IT (5) is also racing in good form and think he would likely win if he could lead but may have to do the work and from there it will become more challenging. Harder for the outside runners with DEE JAYS BIG BOY (7) and BEALAWYER (10) both racing well. Tips: 6 4 3 5 Suggested Bet: STAPLETON (6) each way. Race 5 ADVANTAGE (6) looks better suited second up and on a bigger track here today, trial was good before finishing second in his return run and this draw suits because he just slides into a position and then be running home at the end. WALL STREET GIRL (4) was solid in her return run but also another horse who lacks tactical pace early, expect her to be getting home well. BETTOR MOVE ALONG (5) is mixing his form but is most certainly capable in this, expect him to run well. FLYIN DISCO (7) rarely runs a bad race but will have to work hard from the wide gate. BARBADOS (2) is better suited here, looks a novelty chance. Tips: 6 4 5 7 Suggested Bet: ADVANTAGE (6) to win. Race 6 ICY COLD (1) has been luckless since returning, KO’d here two weeks ago and then had issues at the start last time out, she lost a heap of ground and still found the line strongly, she is a good front runner and loves the shorter trips and looks very hard to beat for mine. MANEA (8) will get the perfect run and won’t be far away, ideal draw for her. IDEAL INTEREST (7) can do the work that is required, he is racing well and will continue to get better. MISS STEFANI (2) is suited to this grade and won’t be far away, but she hasn’t been as impactful as I thought she would this preparation and that pushes her down in today’s race in my opinion. MACHANE SAID (6) and SUNDANCER RAINBOW (9) both novelty chances. Tips: 1 8 7 2 Suggested Bet: ICY COLD (1) to win. Race 7 Open race. JINGLING JEWELS (3) has been catching my eye in recent runs and think this race suits for him to run well, he has good gate speed and performs well at the shorter trip, looks a solid chance at value. IM EUGENE (11) is racing well, his last effort was good and has the depth to overcome the draw. LUKE ATTACK (12) needs a few things to go his way but can run in the money if he gets some luck. ERA (10) was a nice effort at the middle-distance last time out and would prefer him off the front line but think he’ll be doing his best work at the finish. AMERICAN DUTCHESS (2) was successful last time out and could be further improved but this is harder. KARAOKE STAR (4) and WATCH ME WAVE (5) both capable but draws are awkward. Tips: 3 11 12 10 Suggested Bet: JINGLING JEWELS (3) each way. Race 8 HER PRESENCE (3) looks to have found a perfect race where she can work to the top and be in control of the tempo, appears very hard to run down from that position but will be short. BETTERTHAN SECRET (2) is ideally drawn to have the last crack at them, and she is racing well, expect her to finish close to them. GREVIS (8) and BEAT THE BANK (9) are both place to novelty chances as I expect them to get to the peg line and it could be a pegs affair. SWEET IVY (4) is mixing her form, but her best is good enough. DEL BOCAVISTA BAY (5) will appreciate this grade and shouldn’t be too far away, think he’s racing well. PAROQUET (6) likely breeze horse and will stick it out well. Tips: 3 2 8 9 Suggested Bet: BETTERTHAN SECRET (2) to place. Race 9 THREE FLAMES (1) caught the eye last time out and is nicely draw, should be further improved with the run and looks to run a bold race here. BOUJEE BOY (11) is a horse I’ve always had a bit of time for, has plenty of high speed and is now racing with Dylan Egerton-Green, expecting a bold performance from him today. THE RIZZLER (12) has been racing stronger and going well, the draw is difficult, but he has been putting the writing on the wall to break through and expect him to be right in the mix. ELVIRA JANE (3) can run into the top 4 but map is questionable in the early stages. ALFA JESS (9) improving and can be considered for your novelties. Tips: 1 11 12 3 Suggested Bet: THREE FLAMES (1) each way. Market Market
