Matt Young’s Monday Pinjarra Preview Posted on September 22, 2025September 22, 2025 | Posted by Matt Young Race 1 MY LIGHTNING MCQUEEN (6) comes across to WA with solid from in Sydney and predominantly racing over the mile so has been well placed by new connections here, looks very hard to beat. SELLUNE (8) can watch things unfold and will be getting home strongly, could get the soft run through following out the stablemate TILTHESUNSETS (1) who can run well over the mile. LAVRADORE (3) and ELISH STAR (4) will both roll forward and look to be handy and are novelty chances. GRAND MAJESTIC BELLS (7) is getting closer to running a big race, keep safe in your first 4’s here. Tips: 6 8 4 7 Suggested Bet: MY LIGHTNING MCQUEEN (6) to win. Race 2 IM STEALTHY (5) looks set to dominate but likely to be at the short quote, he has gears and a high cruising speed and should get the job done here. SLAY QUEEN (7) has the depth required to overcome the wide draw and move into the money. SWEETER THE BETTOR (1) looks to have ability and is nicely drawn and can feature into the novelties with MISS BEJEWELED (8) who has the lovely trailing draw, and she has a lot of high speed to suit the soft run. CHEFS KISS (4) trialled up well, keep safe from a novelty standpoint with WAVES OF FORTUNE (9). Tips: 5 8 7 1 Suggested Bet: MISS BEJEWELED (8) to place. Race 3 BETTERTHAN SECRET (2) gains a run and has tremendous early speed, she was gutsy over the mile when leading last time out and looks hard to run down in a lightning lap event. TUBBS FARQUHAR (4) finds a suitable race with his high speed but is unlikely to bounce to the lead and it would appear a touch harder than originally planned here. GOTA GOOD WARHOL (3) has drawn perfectly and has been hitting the line well, strong novelty player in this. STAPLETON (7) likely presses forward and does the work in the race and has proven he can stay on strongly. ERA (5) and CALL TO ARMS (6) both are racing well enough. Tips: 2 3 4 7 Suggested Bet: BETTERTHAN SECRET (2) to win. Race 4 SOHO VESPER LIND (4) is racing in good form as of late and seems to be relishing the role of a sit/kick mare, looks like she can settle close and be very dangerous late. SIDSTREPO (2) is racing well, this does look a little bit tougher than recent races he has been in, he can be driven assertively here and run well. BETTOR MOVE ALONG (8) just needs a touch of luck but should be running home strongly if the gaps appear at the right time. EKARA NAVAJO (9) will find things a bit tougher from the back row draw, but she has the runs on the board and shouldn’t be too far away. WALL STREET GIRL (3) is capable but also comes in first up. Tips: 4 2 8 9 Suggested Bet: SOHO VESPER LIND (4) to win. Race 5 Open race. DEE JAYS BIG BOY (4) was a better run last time out and has drawn to be close and get a soft run, represents a bit of each way value in this. JOE WITH THE FLOW (3) comes in with the perfect draw, has the speed to lead and will take running down at this trip. GALVINSTON JOHN (5) has plenty of speed and if he could lead, he would go close. BEALAWYER (7) and HEAVENLY BLISS (8) won’t be far away but just needing a touch of luck from their draws. SHES MY LITTLE GEM (10) was solid on debut in the west after doing things wrong and looks to have some wins in store, just a tricky draw. Tips: 4 3 10 7 Suggested Bet: DEE JAYS BIG BOY (4) each way. Race 6 IDEAL INTEREST (10) gets into this race well, narrowly beaten last time out and being his third run into the prep he should be getting closer to peak fitness, the overall depth of the race isn’t as strong as his previous two starts and he appears versatile, should go close. ALTA FREEWAY (11) drops in grade and has a good closing turn of foot, expecting him to finish in the money. ALFA PRINCE (6) looks to find the top and he would be cheeky in that position as he has been knocking on the door to run a big race. Novelty chances to HUGHEY (1) who was better at Bunbury along with EYE BETTER (7) and IDEAL SECRET (8). Tips: 10 6 11 7 Suggested Bet: IDEAL INTEREST (10) to win. Race 7 MIDDLEPAGE (11) has come back to some of his better form and can be put into the race when they settle, on his current form I am expecting him to run a big race here. LOUIE LEBEAU (12) is suited in this grade and expect him to be able to do some work and feature in the money. LONESTAR WARRIOR (1) has the nice draw and has options, first up run was plain. ALWAYSBFRANK (5) disappointed last time when leading and getting comfortable sectionals but he can bounce back. COVERNOTE (6) is still a hard one to gauge, find out a lot more about him today. ROCKIN LE MONDE (9) will be running on. Tips: 11 12 6 1 Suggested Bet: MIDDLEPAGE (11) to win. Race 8 SWEET DUNCAN (11) was a solid return and strips fitter for that effort, he is versatile, and this looks a suitable grade, think he will be incredibly hard to hold out. SIANGDI (3) was solid last time out and is likely to head forward and be prominent in the run. LORD PUBLISHER (4) hasn’t had a great deal of luck, can be driven forward in this and could potentially lead. Novelty chances to BURGHLEY SHARD (5), BARBADOS (6), TROUBLE SUPREME (7) and SLAMMA ALABAMA (8) who will need luck as he follows out a slow beginner. Tips: 11 4 3 8 Suggested Bet: SWEET DUNCAN (11) to win. Race 9 SIR WILLOUGHBY (5) hit the line strongly in a recent trial and has shown above average ability, expecting him to make a decent splash this time in and can run a bold race. MAJOR TYPHOON (4) won with a leg in the air last time out and has always shown promise, can go on with the job now. PINNY NOIR (10) must overcome a tricky draw but is getting back to his better form. THE RIZZLER (2) was going to win before he went roughly last time out, respect from the draw. STELLA DELIZIOSA (3) can mix her form, but the draw should put her close enough. CIGANDA (9) is a novelty chance with LAZARUS STAR (11) who is very capable, and LOU LAMOUR (12) is a tricky horse to catch but this class suits and although the draw is challenging, he will be running home well. Tips: 5 4 10 11 Suggested Bet: SIR WILLOUGBY (5) to win. Market Market
