Matt Young’s Monday Pinjarra Preview Posted on June 16, 2025June 16, 2025 | Posted by Richard Quance Race 1 LOTS OF CHANGE (8) was a solid effort last time out and has shown good promise, looks to have found his easiest assignment potentially since coming to WA, go close here. ONESTEP AHEAD (2) showed his first signs of form since coming to WA, has got plenty of early speed and looks the likely leader early, has options from there and can get into the money. MRIYA DREAM (4) can bounce back after disappointing last time out. DREAMBIGAIMHIGH (5) is a consistent performer on return, keep safe. PEACHEE (7) can run a better race in this grade, but she isn’t racing at her best. Tips: 8 2 4 5 Suggested Bet: LOTS OF CHANGE (8) to win. Race 2 WAKE UP GEOFF (5) has shown enough promise from last time in to be confident of a strong performance on return in this lineup, has the draw advantage over most of the main rivals and looks hard to beat. MINK (7) ran into some bother last time out but bumped into some nice types as well, will have to overcome a wide gate but respect here. IKES GOT THE MIKE (6) has shown ability, tricky draw on return. CROWN GENERAL (8) is improving and will be getting home strongly with even luck. STRANIERO DEL MARE (2) could run a better race from the improved draw, consider for the novelties with ROXIMUS (4) who has trialled up well. Tips: 5 7 8 6 Suggested Bet: WAKE UP GEOFF (5) to win. Race 3 DOUGS LEGACY (4) looks perfectly placed, has shown more than enough to get the job done in this but am terrified he will be very short in this. ATHREESHOTEAGLE (7) could improve in this, mixing his form but has good early speed. ALLIZEE (1) has a nice draw and in this lineup, could run into the placings. PICK ME (5) has run well against better, can get into the money in this race that is lacking in overall depth. ALWAYS SEA MIKI (6) can improve. Tips: 4 7 1 5 Suggested Bet: ATHREESHOTEAGLE (7) to place. Race 4 NUMBERCRUNCHER (3) looks a nice type, impressive trial win and straight into a race and looks to be a winnable race, very hard to beat. ELVIRA JANE (1) has the lovely draw and continues to improve, will get the right sort of run and could be dangerous. FLOAT MY BOAT (5) is not racing with much luck, looks to have ability and looks set to run a better race here. CHARLI BROWN (7) and WRITE RITE RIGHT (6) both drawn poorly and prefer CHARLI BROWN (7) out of that duo at this stage. BOOM IT UP (4) drawn to be handy to them and can figure into the money. Tips: 3 5 1 7 Suggested Bet: FLOAT MY BOAT (5) to place. Race 5 Open race. IWILL NEVER KNOW (3) has been one that I’ve been following in recent runs and from the draw I am happy to be with him again, will work hard and try and lead and if he can hit the rail I think he can get the job done. SIMPLYTHEBEST (1) hasn’t really done anything to get overly excited about but has the draw to be prominent. LUKE ATTACK (4) is ready to run a big race and can see him outside them doing all the bullocking. MORE THAN HONOURED (5) has got a decent turn of foot and can position up just behind them and get home. GALVINSTON JOHN (6) could win if he could cross but it is tricky to lead from wide draws in these races. SUNPATRA (7), THE BATMOBILE (8) and IM DRINKINDOUBLES (9) all drawn poorly with the latter better suited back to the distance. Tips: 3 4 1 5 Suggested Bet: IWILL NEVER KNOW (3) each way. Race 6 LAST HARD COPY (7) is in dazzling form and looks incredibly hard to beat again, he has come on beautifully this campaign and has elevated to a high level. WHEN IN VEGAS (6) hasn’t had the best luck since returning but looks ready to run a big race. YAWOMA (5) returns and was consistent last time in, bumps into a couple of nice ones. DAMAGE DONE (8) won an easier race at Kellerberrin but was arrogant in victory, will be getting home strongly in this. CRUNCH THE NUMBERS (2) next best. Tips: 7 6 8 5 Suggested Bet: LAST HARD COPY/WHEN IN VEGAS to Exacta. Race 7 LUCIENNE (4) had no luck last time out and hit the line bolting, this looks no harder and with even luck she will run a big race, although she is better suited on the peg line. STRAYLYA (1) seems to race better at this distance and looks a solid chance with options from the draw. SPINNER OF YARNS (2) has had two decent opportunities since returning, draw is solid, fitness is up and can run onto the podium. KARAOKE STAR (3) will be close enough and has good closing speed. BEALAWYER (6) is consistent, novelty chance again. HEAVENLY BLISS (8) wasn’t that bad a run last time out after bombing the start, can be placed. Tips: 4 1 2 3 Suggested Bet: STRAYLYA (1) each way. Race 8 MALAKIE (11) has come back in top class form; she has won 2 of 4 since resuming and confidence will be sky high. She is a versatile type and will run a big race again. TRITTRITTBANGBANG (2) has good early speed and can lead, has options from there. DAT LOVELY (3) performed well last time out and can go well here, draw can work out to be awkward. SPIRITOFANANGEL (5) is a solid place chance even from the awkward draw, she can do work when needed. ROAD STAR (7) is capable but the draw hurts. RODGER JAMES (1) is ideally drawn and LUHRSY (8) both horses will follow the rails and can be novelty chances. DREAM CONTROL (9) will be running on. Tips: 11 2 5 3 Suggested Bet: MALAKIE (11) to win. Race 9 Open race to finish. Could be a charge for the early lead here. Expecting LENORA JANE (9) to get a good run throughout and her last two have been back to her absolute best, speed could suit and be very dangerous late. TROUBLE SUPREME (10) will also be following into it nicely and looks an each way chance. MISTER RIDGEWELL (6) will be heading forward, has come back well and could be a chance if he can cross to lead. COPY CAT QUEEN (7) returns and although she can mix her form, her best is well and truly good enough. WORLD SECRET (1) drops in grade and draws better, will be prominent. GREGARMY (5) capable of improvement and BETTERTHAN SECRET (4) is a novelty chance. Tips: 9 10 7 6 Suggested Bet: LENORA JANE (9) to win. Market Market
