Matt Young’s Monday Pinjarra Preview Posted on June 9, 2025June 9, 2025 | Posted by Matt Young Race 1 AMALFI KNIGHT (1) was incredibly impressive in the trial victory and has the perfect draw on debut, looks hard to topple in this. BUTTER ME UP (2) was beaten by AMALFI KNIGHT (1) in the trial and has shown good promise, draws to the disadvantage and hard to see how he can change the result. MINK (3) has shown enough promise from the draw to be considered a chance for the minors along with the improving CROWN GENERAL (5). Tips: 1 2 3 5 Suggested Bet: AMALFI KNIGHT (1) to win. Race 2 MAJESTIC GA GA (11) looks well placed, she was brave in defeat last Monday in a quickly run race and never gave up the fight, drops to the short course but has shown good versatility and has been stepping well and looks hard to hold out. LOTS OF CHANGE (7) was a peculiar run last time out, wanted to look about before finishing it off soundly in to third, still learning about this horse but has upside and must be respected. BETTY BOOTZ OFF (9) comes off a harder handicap and plenty of traffic around, won’t be a walk in the park but showed last run that she is a strong trotter. KYVALLEY PAINT (8) is improving and can be placed, last couple have been better. YOUR KIDDING (6), TILTHESUNSETS (5) and SELLUNE (10) are also all novelty chances at odds. Tips: 11 7 9 8 Suggested Bet: MAJESTIC GA GA (11) to win. Race 3 KARAOKE STAR (3) has a nice draw to work with, he has been racing soundly and looks likely to get the run of the race here and with his high speed, can play a significant role late. SPINNER OF YARNS (1) has the nice draw and is fitter for the first up run, looks likely to lead and do so for a long way. THE BATMOBILE (5) is racing soundly, won’t be far away and can do some work in these short course events. HEAVENLY BLISS (6) is capable of a top 4 finish, she had no luck last time out and has got high speed, she goes into the novelty bracket with the consistent BEALAWYER (7) and SUN AND SAND (8). Tips: 3 1 5 6 Suggested Bet: KARAOKE STAR (3) each way. Race 4 KOLISI (7) has been racing well and against collectively stronger fields, he is a horse who can do his fair share of work in his races and think he can outstay his rivals in this. YOU FLY WITH ME (8) is a horse who could work as the swooper, he has been racing well since coming back from his freshen up and can be dangerous. LUHRSY (2) steps up in trip but has a nice draw, looks the likely leader and will give them something to catch. TRITTRITTBANGBANG (3) is improving but does his best work on the peg line. TIGER LOU (4) comes in fresh and is capable. CALL TO ARMS (9) is better than his last effort and a return to form wouldn’t shock. Tips: 7 8 2 4 Suggested Bet: KOLISI (7) to win. Race 5 IM DRINKINDOUBLES (7) has come back in good form, steps up to the middle distance but has been versatile and going well, looks hard to beat in many ways this race can be run. IDEAL IVANA (3) has been racing well, looks a decent chance with the draw advantage and although not blistering out, plays a part in the early stages. LUCIENNE (4) works better on the peg line, if she can cross, she becomes the one to beat. CARMELA DOMENICA (2), IDEALINCIDER (5) and STRAYLYA (6) are all place to novelty hopes with the luckless JUST ALL STYLE (9). Tips: 7 3 4 5 Suggested Bet: IM DRINKINDOUBLES (7) each way. Race 6 BLUTO (9) was impressive in his debut run in the west, he will have to overcome the back handicap of 30m but he looks to have plenty of high speed and can be too quick for his rivals here. TWOBOB CRACKER (7) has returned well and is well crafted in these standing start races, looks the main danger. The front line all have claims to run into the money, just depends on who gets the best jump. JILL MACH (1) is much better when she is on speed, can get that today. GEE SMITH (2) not at his best but must be considered. CHEDDAR IS BETTER (3) normally reliable away, needs the pegs to earn first up. FRANKIE MAJOR (4) has been consistent but probably isn’t as reliable as some of the others off the front line. TROUBLE SUPREME (6) in super form and has been a quick beginner in the past. Tips: 9 7 3 1 Suggested Bet: BLUTO (9) to win. Race 7 ELVIRA JANE (4) has been the big winner with the scratching’s, and she has been an improver every time she has stepped out, looks the likely leader and quite hard to beat now. SHECANPLAY (9) had every opportunity last time out for mine and prior form had been strong, so just a little bit gun shy but she is right up to these. LYCA FANTASY (10) mixes her form but looks a solid chance. THREE FLAMES (11) create interest on return. MY SALINA (6) has improved recently but has been performing on the pegs as opposed to this draw. RUBY TREASURE (7) could also improve. Tips: 4 9 10 11 Suggested Bet: ELVIRA JANE (4) to win. Race 8 JIMMY ROCKS (11) looks well placed on return, wouldn’t want to be diving in too short but this looks suitable, and he has strings to his bow, hard to beat. TASHS SPARTAN (6) is versatile and has been racing well, looks a decent chance to run into the money here. SHES A MARE (7) has the high speed to overcome the draw but may have to be driven conservatively early. WATCH ME WAVE (1) can improve second up from the draw, respect. DAT LOVELY (2) didn’t have much luck last time out, can improve. SIDSTREPO (9) is capable, will be running on. Tips: 11 6 7 2 Suggested Bet: JIMMY ROCKS (10) to win. Race 9 ARTFUL MAJOR (10) although not a winner last preparation was very strong in some of his performances, looks incredibly hard to beat on return even from a back row draw, has class on his side. SOHO VESPER LIND (1) is second up and has the good draw, should give them something to chase out in front. HAVEYOUMETTED (8) has drawn to get a good run and looks a solid place to novelty chance. LENORA JANE (2) sizzled to the line last time out and is capable but needs a cuddle up throughout. SPRING LINE (5) has come back well but a tricky draw, has good early speed if they press the button. DARK EYES (9) and SWEET IVY (3) both novelty chances. Tips: 10 1 8 2 Suggested Bet: ARTFUL MAJOR (10) to win. Market Market
