Matt Young’s Monday Pinjarra Preview Posted on May 12, 2025May 12, 2025 | Posted by Matt Young Race 1 TRIXIE DORA (1) has trialled up well and looks to have plenty of high speed, drawn well and seems to do everything right, appears very hard to beat. TOBY GEORGE (6) has plenty of ability but is still learning the caper, think he will be very handy as the season progresses, and they get over the middle distance. WAVES OF FORTUNE (4) beat TOBY GEORGE (6) in his only race start and trialled well prior to that, comes in fresh and looks dangerous. WAY OF THE WORLD (3) steps up in grade and is a novelty chance with AUSSIE CAPTAIN (5) both look to have ability, but they have a good test ahead of them. Tips: 1 6 4 3 Suggested Bet: TRIXIE DORA (1) to win. Race 2 BETTY BOOTZ OFF (8) was sold in her return run, she is not a fool proof trotter but does look hard to hold out here if she can do everything right, should be fitter for the first up run and this is no stronger, go well. MAJESTIC GA GA (9) hasn’t got the best record from the tapes, so that is slightly concerning, she is always short and hard to tip her off that basis, last run was good. BEE BEE BEROC (7) is improving and should be respected again. Interest surround ONE STEPAHEAD (3) for the Tracy Reay stable, which is going strongly now. BONNIE RAE (10), MAJESTIC MARION (11) and PEACHEE (13) all novelty chances. Tips: 8 9 7 3 Suggested Bet: BETTY BOOTZ OFF (8) to win. Race 3 ZUEDE (9) is a sit kick type who gets in well in this field and with any ounce of speed or pressure in the race, he will be erupting late, go close. AMARETTO ANGEL (4) comes in fresh and do prefer her at a shorter trip but on ability and early speed, she must be respected. CALL TO ARMS (12) must overcome a tough draw but drops in grade and is capable. TRUNKEY CARRAWA (11) can improve in this grade and is second up. ARUM (8) has shown promise in trials and is a chance. Tips: 9 4 12 11 Suggested Bet: ZUEDE (9) each way. Race 4 TASHS SPARTAN (5) has been a bit luckless this preparation, but overall form has been solid for a race of this nature, awkward little draw to work with but wouldn’t surprise me to see this horse show his best here. LUCI KANE (6) comes in fresh and had been racing consistently, can be versatile but do prefer her cuddled up on the bigger tracks. GOLD HORSESHOE (10) is racing well and should get home nicely, appreciates the bigger tracks. JAMIE KIM (2) better suited with the draw and can settle close to them; best is up to these. SLAMMA ALABAMA (3) is a novelty chance with TRITTRITTBANGBANG (8) who is coming in fresh. CRY HAVOC (9) and VINTAGE BLU (11) both be running on. Tips: 5 6 2 10 Suggested Bet: TASHS SPARTAN (5) each way. Race 5 GILTY BY THE BEACH (1) gets the perfect chance to lead and win, was crossed last time out and competed against a very smart type in Blazing Reactor, this time should get the top and, in all honesty, get the win. ALWAYSBFRANK (8) is perfectly drawn and should get the run of the race, massive place hope. IM LORD LOGAN (6) hasn’t had much luck since returning and the draw suggests he could be unlucky again, has the high speed to overcome the back of the field in terms of novelty chances. MISTER RIDGEWELL (2) has ability and was solid in his return. SWAGGER MAN (3) was better last run, may be driven in a similar manner. GEE SMITH (9) can dive to the pegs in what could be a pegs dominated affair and BETTOR MOVE ALONG (10) will be running on and is a novelty player from nearly anywhere on current form. Tips: 1 8 6 9 Suggested Bet: ALWAYSBFRANK (8) to place. Race 6 HUNT THE MAGIC (5) has the speed to hold the runners to the outside and think Kyle Symington will be aggressive and try and get the top with this mare, who performed strongly last time out, if she can find the top I think she will win. JACKIE DANIELS (9) is coming out of racing metro company and expecting her to finish off well, but she will need some tempo on. REMARKABLE ROCK (6) is in top form but a tricky draw to overcome with her racing pattern, same story for PUSHBUTTON ROCK (7) from the draw. ICY COLD (4) has the speed to potentially cross but think they’ll look to sit, and she can contend in the novelties. SEAGRASS (8) will be fitter and running on. Tips: 5 9 6 8 Suggested Bet: HUNT THE MAGIC (5) to win. Race 7 MY SILVER SPOON (1) is a sensible and speedy type who goes to the tapes for the first time, has plenty of upside and the horse is versatile, looks hard to beat. RELLIM (2) is very consistent and with a safe getaway can get into a good spot and run well. ROCK ME OVER (10) although comes off the 20m will be running on strongly, form is good in metro grade and the distance suits. FRANCO MECCA (7) could fly under the radar in terms of novelty plays with AWAITINGINSTRUCTIONS (8) both are capable on the peg line. GREVIS (5) needs a safe getaway, but he isn’t a horse who can do a heap in his races. ACUSHLA MACHREE (10) on the back up from a good win Friday, must be respected. Tips: 1 2 10 7 Suggested Bet: MY SILVER SPOON (1) to win. Race 8 GALVINSTON JOHN (1) should lead and at his best he is the hardest to run down but he can get a bit fiery and if he over races and straightens for home, the Pinjarra straight will feel as long as Flemington’s. THE FREELANCER (8) has the perfect draw and although not at his absolute best, I think he could nearly pinch this at each way odds. ELEPHANT ROCK (4) was good last time out after sitting 3 deep the trip, must be respected in this grade. FIREPLAY (7) won a metro race Friday night, not sure where he gets to but that is a solid form line for this race. SUNPATRA (5) and ASHIMA (6) both though of in the market but hard to suggest for mine. Tips: 8 1 4 7 Suggested Bet: THE FREELANCER (8) each way. Race 9 WAVE REBELLION (9) drops back to maiden grade, she is second up in the preparation and raced some serious Friday night 3yo’s last week, think she can settle in and will come with one very strong run, hard to hold out. LITTLE MISS MOLLY (4) has elevated recently and can perform well here, just a tricky draw. ELVIRA JANE (1) ideally drawn, still trying to get a gauge on her with ULTIMATE EVENT (8) dangerous but lacks a bit of top end speed, ability is there. OUR SERAPHINA (2) not the quickest beginner, will be looking for the soft run. AMERICAN TYPHOON (5) has shown promise but mixing her form recently. Tips: 9 4 1 8 Suggested Bet: WAVE REBELLION (9) to win. Market Market
