Matt Young’s Monday Pinjarra Preview Posted on April 14, 2025April 14, 2025 | Posted by Matt Young Race 1 FEELING ACES (1) has a good opportunity again to work with, looks the potential leader and was luckless recently, he is a winner track and distance and will be hard to beat again. TARTAN ROBYN (4) was much better last time out, meets the favourite better off at the handicap and looks the major threat. CALL TO ARMS (3) is a quick beginner and looks to have strong novelty claims here. AWAITINGINSTRUCTIONS (7) will be running on well and TASHS SPARTAN (2) is a top four player with a sound beginning, nothing went right last time out. Tips: 1 4 3 7 Suggested Bet: FEELING ACES (1) to win. Race 2 LADY DELA HOYA (6) gets into this race well, she has an abundance of early speed and am expecting her to dash to the top and make every post a winner, very hard to beat. SHALINI (5) has been consistent since returning, she lacks a little bit of early speed but has an element of toughness to bring her right into this. PHILTHEJUG (1) returns and has the necessary speed to settle close and be a novelty player. FRANKENSTEINSBRIDE (4) and TILLY SWIFT (7) also fall into the novelty contention. Tips: 6 5 1 4 Suggested Bet: LADY DELA HOYA (6) to win. Race 3 KINGSEAT (11) is in dazzling form, and he worked extremely hard last week in good sectionals to get a fighting victory. He can watch things unfold early and have the confidence to be put into the race at any stage, looks a great chance. CAMS BOULDER (12) is racing well but has come up very short, he can win but the odds are a bit slim for my liking. ROCKABILITY (6) has the early dash to nearly cross early and he has been consistent, up to the bigger track and could have options. BONSTAR (3), SOHO CONFIDENTIAL (7) and IM EUGENE (8) all novelty chances. Interested to see how BRONZED (9) goes on return, he has ability and should be kept safe. Tips: 11 12 6 9 Suggested Bet: KINGSEAT (11) to win. Race 4 ERA (5) has been racing in consistent form, he has plenty of early speed and can get across and lead and run a bold race here, expecting him to go well. SUNDANCER RAINBOW (2) has winning claims, but she isn’t a mare who can do much early, therefore a bit short for mine. ZUEDE (7) can see a genuine tempo on and will be getting home strongly, he is racing well. SONIC SEELSTER (8) better suited in this grade, he has been far from disgraced in recent runs. GO HOME JO (1) has drawn to get a good run and is a few runs into the prep, so expecting her to run well. JILLIBY JAKE (4) has had a few opportunities but is rarely far away. Tips: 5 2 7 8 Suggested Bet: ERA (5) each way. Race 5 ALTA ALLURE (11) is racing in tip top form and looks hard to beat again, she will have to come from back in the field but has the speed to negate the draw, junior driver goes on for this run which could be concerning, only for the fact that she can be a bit funny to drive. HARRYS A ROCKSTAR (10) creates interest and should be kept safe with the strong Nathan Turvey stable. THE FREELANCER (2) was solid last time out and with his early speed, must come into novelty contention. MY LITTLE BIG MAN (6) was decent with a win last Tuesday, respect with EYE BETTER (7) who rarely runs a bad race. Tips: 11 10 2 7 Suggested Bet: THE FREELANCER (2) to place. Race 6 Could be a bit happening in this race and set it up for PRINCESS KATIE (11), she is the favourite but is coming out of Free for All mare’s company on Friday night where she didn’t disgrace herself and the start prior, she was incredibly unlucky, looks hard to beat. GET THE BOOTH (8) needs a touch of luck from the draw but the trial was strong defeating OUR LILILOU (9) who represents novelty claims on return. PUSHBUTTON ROCK (4) and REMARKABLE ROCK (10) are both racing well and won’t be all that far away. ICY COLD (5) has concerns running over this distance. FOLLOW MY STRIDE (3) is a place chance if she can begin to her best ability, I think she can cross early. SEAGRASS (6) and HUNT THE MAGIC (7) are both heading in the right direction, but the draws make it more difficult. Tips: 11 8 9 4 Suggested Bet: PRINCESS KATIE (11) to win. Race 7 FIREPLAY (8) should nearly lead this, not as brilliant a front line and I think he can charge across and hit the rail, from there over the lap, I think he will get the job done. BEALAWYER (7) is suited to this grade and expecting a strong performance from him. ASHIMA (4) is an improver but needs to bounce on the bunny over the shorts. FIREBALL FRIDAY (5) and HES THUNDER (6) won’t be all that far away in a race that lacks overall depth. Tips: 8 7 4 5 Suggested Bet: FIREPLAY (8) to win. Market Market
