Matt Young’s Monday Pinjarra Preview Posted on March 31, 2025March 31, 2025 | Posted by Matt Young Race 1 WAVES OF FORTUNE (1) trialled up well and has a lovely draw to work with, showed plenty of promise in his recent outing and looks hard to beat. TOBY GEORGE (2) won that trial and sustained a solid run and looks to be a major player in this event. SHES SUPER CHARGED (7) has shown promise but has a tricky draw to work with. ARMA MUSHU (3) will get a soft run, will run an improved race. KING LOU (5) and AMERICAN MACHINE (6) have shown enough promise in trials in what should be a competitive event. Tips: 1 2 7 3 Suggested Bet: WAVES OF FORTUNE (1) each way. Race 2 KVINTET HILL (4) gets another opportunity, looked to over race in his WA debut and then missed away from the stand, happy to be with him again here and looks the testing material. MRIYA DREAM (2) was solid in winning last time out, looks a major player again in this. LUVAFLAIR (5) is going well, tricky little draw but she will be finishing it off strongly. PEACHEE (7) just peaked last time out and this collectively looks tougher. SELLUNE (10) was good last time out and looks a place hope. QUIGGLEY (8) is capable, but the draw makes it a lot harder. Tips: 4 2 5 10 Suggested Bet: KVINTET HILL (4) to win. Race 3 FEELING ACES (1) worked overtime last time out and weakened late, looks better suited here off the front and the smaller field is in his favour. TASHS SPARTAN (3) trialled well and was luckless on return, could fly under the radar at odds here, keep safe. MAJOR OVERS (6) is racing consistently and isn’t without a winning chance. OUR VINNIE (7) must overcome the back handicap but first up for the new stable was solid. CHAMBRAY (4) is a novelty chance. Tips: 1 6 7 3 Suggested Bet: FEELING ACES (1) to win. Race 4 MAJOR MIKI WHITBY (11) has plenty of talent, comes in first up from a tricky draw but will run well. Must be respected. SWIFTIE (1) has the nice draw and was better last run, could come up too short in the market, happy to look outside of her even from the draw. LUZIA (5) has up-side and just needs some luck from the draw. REPOSSESSION (8) was better last run, novelty chance. Leaving LAVASO (2) out, think she has come up short enough in the market on what we have seen so far. Tips: 11 1 5 8 Suggested Bet: MAJOR MIKI WHITBY (11) to win. Race 5 AMERICAN MONARCH (10) is racing in good form, she will have to use her closing speed in this, but I think it sets up nicely for her to close off over the top, hard to hold out. IDEAL IVANA (1) is a place hope from the draw, she just needs to hold up as best she can. I SEE FIRE (3) is mixing his form but is capable of a podium finish with IDEALINCIDER (8) and SUNPATRA (11), both are novelty hopes at value. COHLIN (6) comes in with claims now as he could potentially cross with the scratching to his inside, prefer him at shorter but he could be cheeky. Tips: 10 6 1 8 Suggested Bet: AMERICAN MONARCH (10) to win. Race 6 RUMBLE STRIP (4) was so so impressive after doing things wrong on debut in the west, has subsequently trialled and looks hard to hold out in this. Will be better for the experience. COMO EL VIENTO (7) was surprisingly conquered on return, tough draw but a strong talented type who can overcome the draw, expect improvement. BLOCKJORG (2) has the draw to feature into the placings. VALHALLA MISS (6) goes up in grade but racing in good form. CAMS BOULDER (12) trialled well and has come back in terrific order, novelty chance looks most likely to him from the draw. EYE BETTER (11) can run into the top 4. Tips: 4 7 12 2 Suggested Bet: CAMS BOULDER (12) to place. Race 7 TRINITYS DELIGHT (10) looks to get in well into this race and looks to be some conjecture on who will lead; therefore, the tempo can be genuine and will play into the hands of this mare, expect her to go close. DAT LOVELY (9) is suited here, likely three back the pegs and if the gaps come, will be dangerous late. FUNKY MUSIC (11) will get a lovely run throughout and be running on strongly. LUCIENNE (3) looks a place chance with the consistent ROCKIN THE TREND (4) Tips: 10 9 11 3 Suggested Bet: TRINITYS DELIGHT (10) to win. Race 8 THE FREELANCER (5) was unlucky last run and has plenty of speed, will charge across and likely be on the speed and over the lightning lap, looks very hard to beat. DREAM CONTROL (9) second up, should run well, can be used in certain parts of these races, keep safe. BEALAWYER (7) looks likely to be there when the whips are cracking. FIREPLAY (10) can have something to say about the early lead and should get a good run, if he could lead, he would give them something chase over the lap dash. Tips: 5 10 9 7 Suggested Bet: THE FREELANCER (5) to win. Market Market
