Matt Young’s Monday Pinjarra Preview Posted on February 24, 2025February 24, 2025 | Posted by Matt Young Race 1 MISS RED VELVET (7) couldn’t have been more impressive when winning on debut from a wide draw in the Western Crown, she won effortlessly, and this looks a potentially easier race but you’re taking shorter odds. SHES SUPER CHARGED (4) looks to have ability and is on the up, should run a bold race on debut. WHERES MY HALO (1) had no luck on debut but still hit the line well, has the draw to run into the novelties. CHUGACH (6) and CINCH (8) will garner respect being on debut from the powerful Team Bond stable, trials have been sound. IKES GOT THE MIKE (10) has shown more in trials then races so far, hasn’t had the best of luck, novelty chance at odds. Tips: 7 4 1 6 Suggested Bet: SHES SUPER CHARGED (4) to place. Race 2 MIKI WINDERMERE (3) had no luck last time out and going back 3-4 starts ago his performances were very strong for a race of this nature, he looks like a big improver in this. GAITCRASHER (4) returns under the care of the powerful Four Diamonds Pacing stable with Aiden De Campo and showed good promise last time in, must be respected in this. SWITCH BLADE (1) has the nice draw and had no luck last time out, has options from the draw and should run well, his stablemate BOOM IT UP (8) has shown ability and gets a soft draw to pick a few off late for the novelties. WICKED WINDEREME (5) has trialled up soundly enough but will have to overcome a tricky draw on debut. Tips: 3 4 1 8 Suggested Bet: MIKI WINDERMERE (3) to win. Race 3 A wider open race than the market will reflect. AMERICAN JUBILEE (5) has come up very short, drops in grade back to maiden status and looks hard to beat but cannot have it at the price. ALWAYS SEA MIKI (4) comes in fresh and has shown ability, with the draw advantage, could race close enough to the speed. ROCKNROLL JEWEL (10) has raced well with young Abbey Vidovich driving and can have the last crack at them at odds. STAR OF THE GALAXY (8) has had plenty of chances but can fill into the money here. I AM SIAM (3) needs to lift on recent runs but has shown potential in the past. WESMEDAD (7) will have to overcome a wide barrier. Tips: 4 5 10 8 Suggested Bet: ROCKNROLL JEWEL (10) each way. Race 4 BETTORS PRIDE (1) was very promising in his only two runs to date and has the perfect draw on return, his main rival has drawn poorly, and this bloke should get the job done but will be short in the market. KINGSEAT (8) has drawn to follow the speed and hit the line well last start, he looks a good lock for a place multi. OVERLY EXCITED (12) has a horrible draw to overcome, he has above average ability but can be a tricky horse to catch, still expected to run a strong race. FLYING FELIX (2) goes up in grade but can feature in the novelties with HOLD YOUR FIRE (3) and ELEPHANT ROCK (10). Tips: 1 12 8 3 Suggested Bet: KINGSEAT (8) to place. Race 5 CYCLONE JORDY (5) is a category 5 system who will obliterate and level this field of horses, he is going on to bigger things than a quaddie leg at Pinjarra on a Monday. ALLWOOD MACH (3) has been improving strongly through the preparation and has some good early speed, I think he could nearly cross early and then he is a good place chance. LAMANDIER (7) will be hoping for some speed, he is dropping from Friday night company down to this and should run into the top 3. JASPERVELLABEACH (8) can pick them off and run into the top 4. Concerned for SOHO CONFIDENTIAL (2) who goes right up in grade here and last start he seemed to lose his gate speed; he is a novelty chance, but this looks quite slick. Tips: 5 3 7 8 Suggested Bet: ALLWOOD MACH (3) to place. Race 6 HENRIK LARSSON (8) can be forgiven for his last start defeat; his previous form had been first class, and he handles the standing start caper well. Very hard to beat in this. GREATGREAT BOULDER (7) on the other hand didn’t handle the stand as well in the Northam Cup, the eccentric gelding has an abundance of high speed and just needs a safe getaway to put himself within striking distance to play a serious part. TRIROYALE BRIGADE (5) needs a safe getaway, but he is racing in good consistent form. GOLD HORSESHOE (6) can be placed, was a solid performance last time out and the distance will be right up his alley. JACKIE DANIELS (9) needs some luck but is a novelty player also. Tips: 8 7 5 6 Suggested Bet: HENRIK LARSSON (8) to win. Race 7 ROCK ROSIE ROCK (11) has come back from her freshen up in top order, she was a big winner followed up by two strong top 4 runs, it is a tricky draw to overcome but she has good closing speed and looks hard to beat. ICY COLD (6) looks the main danger, she can use her early speed to burn forward and potentially lead, she loves the short course and should run well. WANDERING GIRL (7) must overcome the wide draw but was a solid effort last start after burning the candle at both ends, novelty chance. SHEHADI (2) is always a novelty chance, but she is mixing her form. EE JAY WHY (3) is racing soundly. TORREVEAN PINKY (5) needs luck from the draw and same can be said for FOLLOW MY STRIDE (10) who can be forgiven for her last start and prior form was first class, she is a must for novelties at odds. Tips: 11 6 7 10 Suggested Bet: ROCK ROSIE ROCK (11) to win. Market Market
