Matt Young’s Monday Pinjarra Preview Posted on February 10, 2025February 10, 2025 | Posted by Matt Young Race 1 Open trotters event to kick things off. ELEGANT PEAK (7) is working back into peak fitness and looks far better suited in this race, appears a strong each way chance in this grade. GRAND MAJESTIC BELLS (8) is a very smart trotter but comes into this, first up and no trial. BONNIE RAE (4) has been improving and should run a bold race. LINE THE STARZZZ (10) will run a bold race, can mix her form but last few have been solid. BEE BEE BEROC (6) is next best. Tips: 7 4 10 8 Suggested Bet: ELEGANT PEAK (7) each way. Race 2 RAJAH ROCKS (5) will be winning, he is a nice type and drops in grade nicely and trialled up well after an issue last time out, should roll to the lead and it’ll be game over for rivals. TELKEM JAY (2) has put together two solid runs and did it at both ends last time out, strong exacta play. EE JAY WHY (7) drops in grade on recent runs but draw hurts, novelty chance. ELEPHANT ROCK (6) and SWEET DUNCAN (8) are also both novelty chances. Tips: 5 2 7 8 Suggested Bet: TELKEM JAY (2) to place Race 3 CRUNCHEE (1) returns and has a solid draw, the Team Bond 3yo contingent have returned and shown good promise and improvement, expecting this to be no different and think he will run a bold race. OVERLY EXCITED (6) had a solid first up run but has then had a decent gap between runs, could overcome the draw. MISS UNEEK (2) trialled up well and she was a big improver through the preparation last time out, keep safe in the novelties. I think that is the trifecta, just in which order. STRIKING A DEAL (3) looks next best for first 4 players. Tips: 1 6 2 3 Suggested Bet: MISS UNEEK (2) to place. Race 4 Could be a bit on early in this. GHOSTWRITER (6) did it at both ends last time out and looks a chance to get into a strong position and be very dangerous. BEALAWYER (4) could be placed into a decent position and being a little closer will see him finish strongly. LUCKY LOU WHITBY (7) is a speedy type who will likely head forward and keep the pace honest. SHEHADI (5) was disappointing last time out but can bounce back. SIDSTREPO (8) was brilliant two starts ago and followed it up with a well-deserved win, must overcome the wide draw but can figure again. COHLIN (2) is a place chance. Tips: 6 4 8 5 Suggested Bet: GHOSTWRITER (6) to win. Race 5 SOHO SHAKEDOWN (5) is a very smart type, has brilliant gate speed and can use it to cross and if he leads, I think that’ll be another win for him. DELULU (1) is fitter for the first up effort and looks a major player, early speed is the big query here. ROCK ROSIE ROCK (6) was solid in her return run, tricky draw to overcome but is a novelty chance. PUSHBUTTON ROCK (2) is a novelty chance with BRIGGS ON BOND (9) and MISS STEFANI (10) Tips: 5 1 6 2 Suggested Bet: SOHO SHAKEDOWN (5) to win. Race 6 BLAZE AWAY (1) returns and should lead and win but will be a good things price. BLITZAR (2) was solid in his last effort and is showing decent promise this time in, looks a strong novelty chance in this with SPANGLED FELLA (9) who could position up into a bold spot, fitter again after such a long time away. REMARKABLE ROCK (3) is a place chance but tricky little draw to work with. REPOSSESION (6) next best for your novelties. Tips: 1 9 2 3 Suggested Bet: SPANGLED FELLA (9) to place. Race 7 ARIONROCK (7) is racing in top form and can see him charging forward here, he has shown that he can burn a little bit to get a good spot and still have plenty left to fight them off, keen on his chances. ICY COLD (3) looks the likely early leader and is suited to the shorter trip, place chance. ALLWOOD MACH (5) was a lot better last time out and think he will continue with that. FEELING EMPATHY (1) goes up in grade but is a top 4 player at the distance and draw. HUNT THE MAGIC (11) is improving with every run and although capable, might find this a bit tougher. SKIPPIN CLASS (8), JOEY JAMES (9) both novelty chances in a competitive race. Tips: 7 5 3 11 Suggested Bet: ARIONROCK (7) to win. Race 8 CHAMPAGNE STYLE (9) is going to watch things unfold early and has a good closing turn of foot, will play a significant role in this. FOLLOW MY STRIDE (4) has good early speed and could cross again, she has really turned the corner and looks a solid chance either way as she will be close enough. BATAVIA STORM (5) was better last time out and can continue tracking in the right direction. AMARETTO ANGEL (8) drawn the rail just needs some luck to play a part in the novelties. BIG BOZZ (10) mixing form but best is good enough. JAMIE KIM (11) will be running on well, has picked up recently. SPIRITOFANANGEL (7) is always a novelty chance but draw hurts. Tips: 9 4 5 11 Suggested Bet: FOLLOW MY STRIDE (4) each way. Race 9 PHILTHEJUG (3) could use her speed and burn across and potentially lead, last couple of runs have been solid, strong each way chance. VYBRANT (1) was unlucky last run and as long as she settles close enough, I think she’ll run a bold race. DUNAMIS (5) can do the work and lacks a bit of top end speed and will run well on recent form. THE FREELANCER (7) could be an improver, drops in grade but draw hurts. ZUEDE (10) will be running on. SPINNER OF YARNS (12) is capable but is a hard horse to catch. Tips: 3 1 5 12 Suggested Bet: PHILTHEJUG (3) to win. Market Market
