Matt Young’s Monday Bunbury Preview

Race 1

QUIGGLEY (6) was outstanding last time out and looks to have found his rhythm. He looks incredibly hard to beat on what we saw at Pinjarra. CHUMANI (5) drops in grade but is first up since early December. He normally begins nicely, looks a major player. BEE BEE BEROC (1) normally steps well and can run along and be bold out in front. CYCLONE KADABRAMELIA (3) is preferred at the shorter distance but normally steps quick and is a novelty chance.

Suggested Bet: QUIGGLEY (6) to win.

Race 2

CHILLI PUNTER (3) is a nice type who is coming in fresh but looks a touch too classy for her rivals here. HUNT THE MAGIC (6) is second up and looks a strong chance even from the wide draw. SHES A LUCKY PENNY (1) was outstanding last time when winning at Pinjarra, has the perfect draw and follows speed well. DOVE CRY (8) will follow through nicely and can peg up nicely for the novelties.

Tips: 3 6 1 8

Suggested Bet: CHILLI PUNTER (3) to win.

Race 3

IM LIGHTNING BANNER (2) has come back to racing in tremendous form and has the speed to lead and looks the logical on top selection. CALIENTE (1) follows speed well and looks likely to be dangerous late. CALLMEWHATUWANT (3) trialled well and has above average ability, strong novelty chance. BELLISSIMO ACQUISTO (4) moves back to a mobile and should get a decent run. SOHO SANTORINI (5) may be one spot too far back in this.

Suggested Bet: IM LIGHTNING BANNER (2) to win.

Race 4

ROCKIN LE MONDE (10) comes into a perfect draw and looks very hard to beat in this drop in grade, he will be powering home strongly. ALTA EXPRESS (1) has the lovely draw and will be fitter for the last effort. AMARETTO ANGEL (3) is a consistent performer with plenty of high speed but looks more of a novelty chance in this. BALINGUP BOY (11) might need this run but likely to duck to the rails and be finishing well.

Tips: 10 1 3 11

Suggested Bet: ROCKING LE MONDE (10) to win.

Race 5

ALTA KING (12) has been improving and was very impressive in his last win, I think he has the talent to overcome the draw and make it back-to-back wins. GIVE ME JOY (5) won a recent trial and will create plenty of interest going into this, looks a major player. STAR OF THE GALAXY (9) has been racing without much luck and is a small winning chance but decent novelty hope. ARISE LAZARUS (10), LEEROY ROX (11) will both be getting home strongly and CHEVRONS GOLD (7) could be an improver, has plenty of early speed.

Tips: 12 5 9 10

Suggested Bet: ALTA KING (12) to win.

Race 6

JAXS IDEAL (5) looks very hard to beat on return, she has done things wrong in the past but has the above average ability, will be quite short. PHILTHEJUG (4) has plenty of early speed and can burn across and look for cover, strong place chance. ELIZABETH AITCH (12) is improving and will run a bold race here. CASSINI BELLE (8) will be getting home but may have some traffic problems. WHOOPSADAISY (3), VYBRANT (9) and ROCKNROLL JEWEL (10) all novelty chances.

Tips:  5 4 12 8

Suggested Bet: PHILTHEJUG (4) to place.

Race 7 

SOHO SHAKEDOWN (6) is an up-and-coming talent and has plenty of speed, looks like he has a good amount of depth and appears quite hard to beat in this. OHOKA NICO (2) has early speed but has done things wrong, you would imagine safety first but can run a good race. KINGSEAT (1) is a solid place chance from the draw. BROOKVALEGIRL (3) has a tricky draw to overcome but could earn. IDEALINCIDER (13) can sneak into the top 4 at big odds.

Tips: 6 2 1 3

Suggested Bet: SOHO SHAKEDOWN (6) to win.

Race 8 

SEA FURY (4) can burn across and get to the lead here, his last couple have been solid and is ready to win. ROAD STAR (3) has plenty of talent but can-do things wrong, if he can do it all correctly, he could be dangerous at odds. TRIROYALE BRIGADE (2) has come back strongly under the new camp and can run a bold race. JOE WITH THE FLOW (13) has a nice draw and will be close enough, place chance. RONALD SCOTT (5) has the draw disadvantage but can go well on return.

Suggested Bet: SEA FURY (4) to win.
