Harry Buchanan’s Monday Greyhound Best Bets Posted on April 8, 2024April 8, 2024 | Posted by TABtouch CANNINGTON Race 3 No. 3 Wayne Keeping and No. 4 Sure As Brother The 3 gets his easiest assignment yet over this trip and is boxed to get every hope. Good formlines through the well performed kennel mate has him in good stead for this. The 4 is a smokies show on his best form. Needs to step better but he’s capable when he gets there early and this trip suits. EW for him. Race 4 No. 7 Surprised Fun We know the drill. Lead and bolt it or don’t lead and go under. She looks to have her chance to find the arm here with what’s boxed around her and that will see her hard to beat. Must step to win however. Race 5 No. 8 I’m Upstairs and No. 6 Big Girl Velma The 8 is going ok and much better than it looks. The box might be a plus here after the run last week when he wanted to step off after box rise. Stick with him as he’s close and will be a price. The 6 steps up now and she might be looking for this trip with he slow starts hurting her over the short trip. Works home well once she gets going and could surprise here. Race 7 No. 8 Victim Of Desire Going super for May. Racing out of her skin against better dogs and with a hard left goer inside, she will rush up out wide again here and be a force in the run home. Don’t ignore her. She can figure. Race 8 No. 2 Son Of Frankie and No. 6 Big Girl Kiki The 2 can turn the tables here courtesy of the draw. Box bought him undone last week when a good 3rd and will get an earlier crack at the arm here. The 6 won that race but she had the inside. She is still capable off any box and is racing superbly at the moment. Keep her safe. Race 10 No. 1 Turtle Fernando and No. 7 Smirch Birch The 1 gets an all time map here with the fast starting wide running dog outside him. Rails well and just needs a good step. The 7 will run into this if he can find a spot across early. Handles most boxes and can stun here if he gets up there early. Race 11 No. 2 Escape Plan and No. 8 Pea Pettigrew The 2 ran a great race at her first 500 last week and can only improve. Well boxed and this is not beyond her. The 8 gets a fair drop in grade here and while he’s been a little off lately, it will be no surprise to see him bounce back in this company.
