Harry Buchanan’s Friday Greyhound Best Bets Posted on February 9, 2024February 13, 2024 | Posted by TABtouch MANDURAH Race 2 No. 6 Maximum Carnage and No. 7 Ohana Ranadi The 6 is much better drawn off the track here. A few times at this circuit he has failed to handle the inside and wanting off. Can step here and show a different lot of form all together. The 7 had absolutely no luck last week. Was basically held up the entire trip behind dog after dog. Kept closing off though on the line and a clearer run will yield a better result in this. Race 3 No. 1 Clifton Cruz Tremendous effort from this quality stayer last week over the 488m trip when charging home from well back. Was checked several times when making his run and should have won. Boxed to punch up here and he has a distinct class edge over this field. His absolute best would decimate this field. Race 4 No. 3 Speed Freak and No. 4 Sunset Louie Heat 2 of the middle distance challenge and this is much stronger. The 7 will start fav but the box and short run to the first turn combined with her lack of experience at this circuit is enough to take her on. The 3 is the current track record holder and she has found her top again. She will land close here and she is very strong. Huge threat. The 4 is just as adept around here and he simply flogged his rivals last start in town. Once he finds the fence he gets into his work and he will take a lot of stopping in this. Chances to 1,6 and 7 and even the 8 would be had more time been on his side. Good heat. Race 5 No. 2 Chloe Ant and No. 8 Rhino Bale Heat 3 and intriguing here. WA’s premier stayer in 7 has disappointed his last two. Will be short but expect him to go well and get back to his better form. The box does him no favours though but he has seen this track in a trial. The 2 on the other hand is drawn to shake this to the ground. Can beat the red out and sit forward and her strength will take over late. The 8 will find a stack on his first up run here last week. He is far better than what he showed and expect him to strip fitter and get into this with a good early split and first turn. The 7 of course a threat as is the 6. Race 6 No. 6 Slowly Drifting and No. 4 Butter Me Up The 6 is going real well currently and comes off a super 2nd earlier this week off a wide draw. Can come from off the arm and will be tracking up again in this to present turning for home. Strong hope EW. The 4 will try and lead again and she will get her chance if she does. Missed it last week which isn’t like her and expect a better start this time with early speed to show. Don’t dismiss her. Race 7 No. 4 Stanga Fire Great run in the final last time when not having the easiest time trying to cross. Speed inside here lets him get on to the fence and that’s where he starts his work. He’s ready to do something now and is a great EW bet in this. Will keep coming. Race 8 No. 4 Our Benson and No. 8 Sunset Callisto Only two hopes on best form. The 4 goes fast early and has a low 22 to his name. Coming off some 488s but has raced well this trip previously. The 8 is airborne and can handle the wide box. Has a good early split and will dart up out wide and sustain a strong run home. Not much between them and best run in transit wins. The 4 might just get the arm first. Race 9 No. 8 Start Up Ando Small field, tick. Box 8, tick. He just needs to push up early here and he will present with his wide run turning. Didn’t quite get the 488 last time and this is more his go. Has good form over the trip in hard company and will give a sight if he stays with them up the back. Race 10 No. 3 Ash The Flash and No. 1 Stanga Storm What a little champ the 3 is. Continues to put in every start and was rewarded last week with a strong victory at the track and trip. Steps well and is good in a field. She just keeps putting in. Stick with her. The 1 will go much better off the inside here and if he can hold a forward spot to the first turn, he will be there at the end with a strong run home. Keep in mind EW. Race 11 No. 2 Pudding Monelli Getting him away from Cannington a great move. Last time he was here and had box 1, he flew and went low 27. Gets a similar run here and the change in track will prove the difference. Very hard to hold out here. Race 12 No. 7 Alden Monelli Under rated dog who can surprise in this. Has a good record track and trip and runs on well. Small field a huge plus and if he is close up the top, expect him to be in the finish here. Market Market
