Gloucester Park 4 March – Harness Preview Posted on March 4, 2016March 4, 2016 | Posted by Trent Cooper Trent Cooper’s Preview Race 1: SLATER GARTRELL SPORTS MS PACE DARDY DELIGHT (8) has resumed from a spell with good placings, including a strong last start 2nd to Znana. He is drawn wide but has a class edge and expect him to be driven positively. AUTHORIZED (1) has been unplaced at his four starts since resuming but can be a big improver from the pole. MACHS A PEARLER (3) is racing very consistently and should be in the finish. TASMANIAN BROMAC (10) has been disappointing but should get a nice run on the back of his stablemate and can improve. Tips: 8 1 3 10 Suggested Bet: DARDY DELIGHT (8) to win. Race 2: ABBOTT & CO PRINTERS MS PACE OUR BIG SLOW (4) wasn’t far away when 4th to LEFTRIGHTGOODNIGHT (6) before leading throughout at Wagin. He goes up in class but is drawn inside his main rivals and should give a great sight. AVALON BROMAC (5) was far from disgraced when 2nd to Shirlz Sensation in quick time last week and should be thereabouts again. BOUNTY EYRE (7) and LEFTRIGHTGOODNIGHT (6) are both racing extremely well but both are drawn awkwardly tonight. Tips: 4 6 5 7 Suggested Bet: OUR BIG SLOW (4) to win. Race 3: MILNE FEEDS MARES MS PACE ROBYNS CC (1) has been placed at her last three starts and is drawn to win tonight. She led when 3rd to Paid Twice in good time last start and will appreciate the shorter distance and has a barrier advantage over her main rivals. DONEGAL KAHLUM (9) has only missed a place once in her eight starts this campaign and will be thereabouts again. BONNY UNDER FIRE (10) has been placed in stronger fields at her last three starts but is drawn poorly tonight. STUNIN EYES ONLY (5) will be driven quietly and is a place chance. Tips: 1 9 10 5 Suggested Bet: ROBYNS CC (1) to win. Race 4: WESTRALIAN DISCRETIONARY HANDICAP SS PACE SONIC CLASSIC (8) always runs well in this company and put the writing on the wall when a strong 2nd to BETTOR OFFER (1) after sitting outside that pacer. He doesn’t encounter a horse of that quality here and appeals as the one to beat. CHANGE GEAR (5) crosses the Nullabor with strong Victorian form lines and warmed up for this with a comfortable Byford trial win. SWIMBETWEENTHEFLAGS (2) has struggled in town but his effort at Northam looked good enough for this. EMINENCE GRISE (1) was disappointing last start but would be very hard to beat on his previous form. Tips: 8 5 2 1 Suggested Bet: SONIC CLASSIC (8) each way. Race 5: SAMUEL SMITH & SON WESTBRED QUALIFYING HEAT 1 MS PACE THE REVOLUTION (3) finished 4th in the Golden Nugget at his last run before a spell and hasn’t had much luck in his two unplaced runs since resuming. He drops in class and is drawn to win here. SOHO MONZA (8) was a good winner here two runs back before finishing less than five metres from the winner in the Harvey Cup and looks the only danger. LOADED AUSSIE (1) and EL SUNAMI (2) don’t have the class of the others but are drawn to be place chances. Tips: 3 8 1 2 Suggested Bet: THE REVOLUTION (3) to win. Race 6: SULLY`S PAINTING MS PACE ATLASTALONE (3) faced the breeze when a solid 2nd to Three Blind Mice before finding the front and beating Glenferrie Rustler in a strong field last start. This is collectively weaker and he is the one to beat despite the fact that he is likely to be in the breeze. DASHING CHRISTIAN (1) has been crying out for this draw and will run a big race if he holds the top. RAZA SHARP LOMBO (2) looks a good place chance from the draw, while EASTWOOD CRYSTAL (11) needs an early speed battle but can figure if that does occur. Tips: 3 1 2 11 Suggested Bet: ATLASTALONE (3) to win. Race 7: LD TOTAL MS PACE LEDA MCNALLY (7) has been racing well in the top mares company and this represents a drop in class on her recent assignments. She is drawn the widest over the sprint trip but that could prove a blessing in a race full of pace and she could be the one finishing over the top. FERNLEIGH REBEL (4) would be the one to beat if he crossed early but that may not happen. The newcomer, GLENLOCHLAR (2), and SHARDONS ROCKET (6) fought out a recent Byford trial and both can be right in the finish here. Tips: 7 4 2 6 Suggested Bet: LEDA MCNALLY (7) each way. Race 8: RETRAVISION THE CLARKE QUALIFYING HEAT 1 ROWCHESTER (1) led throughout from this barrier two starts back and then performed well from an awkward draw last start. He has the speed to lead and be the one to beat again but may take a sit on his stablemate. THAT’S RITE (2) has led and won four times this campaign but hasn’t been placed in his other three. It will be interesting to see if he finds the top as he will run a big race if he does. CHANGE STRIDE (8) and BETTOR RULES (7) are both racing extremely well but will have their work cut out from their wide draws. Tips: 1 2 8 7 Suggested Bet: ROWCHESTER (1) to win. Race 9: CLIPSAL BY SCHNEIDER ELECTRIC MS PACE DREDLOCK ROCKSTAR (5) contested the early lead unsuccessfully but hit the line fairly when 4th to Machtu before charging to the line along the pegs when 2nd to Chief Thundercloud last week. This is a drop in class and he looks suited by the small field. MACON GEORGIA (3) has struggled from wide draws recently but would run a big race if he can lead. OHOKA KENTUCKY (1) has a poor record from this barrier but will be thereabouts if he does things right, while COURAGE TELLS (4) is always a chance at odds. Tips: 5 3 1 4 Suggested Bet: DREDLOCK ROCKSTAR (5) to win. Race 10: INTERNATIONAL ANIMAL HEALTH PRODUCTS 3YO FILLIES MS PACE MARY CATHERINE (7) has won three of her last five and was far from disgraced at her last start when she faced the breeze against the boys and ran 3rd to Johnny Disco. She is drawn wide here but looks to have a class edge on her rivals. MACHINE ELLE (3) is the up and comer who has won her last two in weaker company and looks the main danger. GUNNA GET LUCKY (1) has the draw to be in the money, while BETTOR BLING (6) is getting back to something like her best. Tips: 7 3 1 6 Suggested Bet: MARY CATHERINE (7) to win. Bet Now!
