Trent’s Gloucester Park Preview Posted on September 29, 2017 | Posted by Trent Cooper Trent Cooper’s Preview Race 1: LUGARNO GUMBY PUNTERS CLUB MS PACE MAKO SHADOW (3) was only plain at his first run back after a short break when 8th here last week. He did lead and run a close 2nd to Sprinter four starts back and is the best drawn of the main chances tonight. OUR JABARI (6) worked hard to find the front when a fair 4th in the same race last week and should be thereabouts. BETTOR TWISTED (8) and WEBB ELLIS (9) are the other class runners but both have horror draws to overcome over the sprint trip. Tips: 3 6 8 9 Suggested Bet: MAKO SHADOW (3) each way. Race 2: LEADING TIPSTER – STUART LOWE MS PACE KHUN RATHA (1) has run nice placings behind Dodolicious recently and was a solid 6th here last week. He is drawn to lead and should give a great sight. OHOKA DARCY (5) was a good all the way winner two starts back before finishing strongly to finish 3rd here last week and must be considered. ABRAXAS BLUES (10) was an impressive Pinjarra winner on Monday and is drawn to get a nice run. TOMMY BE GOOD (7) is better known as a stand performer but trialled well recently and can play a part. Tips: 1 5 10 7 Suggested Bet: KHUN RATHA (1) to win. SuperPick - Race 2 No. 1 KHUN RATHA - Money Back Race 3: LONGEST PRICED WINNER – PAT HARDING TROTTERS DISCRETIONARY HANDICAP ITSGETTINGCALDER (3) blew the start at his WA debut but impressed when he made up a heap of ground to finish 2nd to Reminder Call. He wasn’t the most reliable beginner in Victoria but will be hard to beat if he steps cleanly. BLUE SKY COMMANDER (7) has his first start in WA and looks hard to beat on his Victorian form against better company. LIGHTNING CALDER (8) is suited by the small field and shouldn’t be far away. EARL HARBOUR (1) lacks the class of his main rivals but is a reliable trotter and has the draw. Tips: 3 7 8 1 Suggested Bet: ITSGETTINGCALDER (3) to win. Race 4: SECOND BEST TIPSTER – WAYNE CURRALL MS PACE FIFTH EDITION (1) was in impressive winner in a stand at Pinjarra at his first run back from a break before having no luck last week. He looks extremely hard to beat here but his chances may hinge on the first 100m. DEBT FREE CHARLIE (2) was a nice 4th to Lets Chase The Dream last week and looks the main danger, particularly if he can use his gate speed to cross at the start. JAXON FELLA (10) is drawn to get a soft trip and looks a good place chance. CHEVRONS CHAMPION (5) showed a return to form last week and can be in the money. Tips: 1 2 10 5 Suggested Bet: FIFTH EDITION (1) to win. Race 5: THIRD BEST TIPSTER – MATT MCDERMOTT MS PACE SOHO TRIBECA (9) returns from a successful Victorian campaign where he was undefeated in three starts. He is drawn poorly tonight and may not yet be at his top but is the class runner and one to beat. ITZ BETTOR TO WIN (3) has his first run for Olivieri tonight and his Melton form should stand up. IDEAL TYSON (7) was a dominant winner in easier company last week and can be competitive despite the draw. BRONZE SEEKER (1) ran 3rd to IDEAL TYSON (7) last week and can be placed again. Tips: 9 3 7 1 Suggested Bet: SOHO TRIBECA (9) to win. Race 6: MOST WINNERS IN A NIGHT AWARD THE WARWICK MS PACE IDEALINDIAMONDS (4) has been ultra-impressive in winning his first two starts in WA. This assignment looks tougher but he has plenty of class and is clearly the one to beat. MESSI (1) will lead easily early and should be thereabouts whether he holds the front or takes a sit. OUR ZAK WHITBY (11) was beaten a head by IDEALINDIAMONDS (4) three starts back and was an easy winner last week but has a back line draw to overcome. WHOZIDEAWASTHIS (10) hasn’t been far away and will get a nice run in transit. Tips: 4 1 11 10 Suggested Bet: IDEALINDIAMONDS (4) to win. Race 7: 2017 WA TROTTING MEDIA GUILD CUP MS PACE IM FULL OF EXCUSES (9) has been impressive in winning eight of his last 13 starts and dominated the Country Cups circuit. He resumes here from a wide draw but warmed up with a 1.57.3 trial win and should give a sight. IDEAL ALICE (2) had her chance when bloused out by CONDRIEU (8) last start but is drawn well and must be considered. TRICKY STYX (3) is the other class mare and is proven in this company. SHEER ROCKNROLL (1) wasn’t that far away last week and should improve from the pole. Tips: 9 2 3 1 Suggested Bet: IM FULL OF EXCUSES (9) to win. Race 8: GPHR MEDIA GUILD TIPS @ WWW.GLOUCESTERPARK.COM.AU MS PACE B D WINDERMERE (3) showed good gate speed last week to cross before taking a sit on Dodolicious but hit that mare’s sulky and broke. Her previous form wasn’t flash but this is a field of out of form pacers and she could give a sight at odds. GRAYBUCK (8) has been unplaced at his 11 starts this campaign but is the class runner of this field. DRIVEN (5) was a fair 3rd here on Tuesday and can be thereabouts again. GLOW BRIGHT (6) will appreciate a massive drop in class and can improve. Tips: 3 8 5 6 Suggested Bet: B D WINDERMERE (3) each way. RACE 9: TABFORM MS PACE GANGBUSTER (8) over-raced at his first start for a month when finishing near the rear last week but he meets a weak field here and is the one to beat. RAFFAELLO (3) ran a nice 3rd to Bettor Not Bitter last week and should give a sight from this draw. BETHANY AITCH (6) had a nice run when 2nd in the same race and can be thereabouts again. WHERES JOHNNY (7) was a last start winner in easier company and might be the best of the rest. Tips: 8 3 6 7 SUGGESTED BET: GANGBUSTER (8) to win.
