Trent’s Gloucester Park Preview Posted on May 26, 2016May 30, 2016 | Posted by Trent Cooper Trent Cooper’s Preview Race 1: GREENWOOD DAYS MS PACE CRUSADER BANNER (7) resumed from a spell with an easy 1.54.4 victory for the 2130m journey. He then settled back in the field but produced an eye-catching 5th to Run Oneover when he was only 3.6 metres from the winner. He has the advantage of race fitness over his main rival and should be hard to beat. OUR JIMMY JOHNSTONE (9) resumes from a break without a trial and starts from the widest draw but must be considered on class alone. FLAMING HERO (2) and ATLASTALONE (3) are up in grade but have the draws to be competitive. Tips: 7 9 2 3 Suggested Bet: CRUSADER BANNER (7) to win. Race 2: RETCO PTY LTD EARTHMOVING AND TRANSPORT MS PACE ANGUS T JONES (11) was well fancied at his first start in the state but settled midfield on the pegs and finished strongly but just missed when a close 2nd at Bunbury. He should have derived benefit from that run and should win plenty of races. TOMMY BE GOOD (6) has been impressive in winning two on end and is chance to bring up the hat-trick tonight. BLISSNTHEBLACK (1) broke through with a good all the way last start and will give them something to catch. MANTOMAN (2) was a big improver last start and must be considered. Tips: 11 6 1 2 Suggested Bet: ANGUS T JONES (11) to win. Race 3: ADVANCED PUMP TECHNOLOGIES MS PACE CYCLONE MITCH (3) extended his losing sequence to 12 last week but was brave when facing the breeze and being run down by Tommy Be Good. He is well drawn tonight and should give a great sight again. LADY WILLOUGHBY (6) did all of the work in the last lap and stuck on well when 2nd to Ideal Alice and this looks a drop in class. HUGH VICTOR (8) and BRONZE SEEKER (9) both have big finishes and will be charging home if there is a solid tempo. Tips: 3 6 8 9 Suggested Bet: CYCLONE MITCH (3) to win. Race 4: MURRAY DOWNS DISCRETIONARY HANDICAP SS PACE IM MASTER CHARLIE (2) has been very impressive in winning his last two starts off 40m handicaps in easier company. He has stepped nicely on both occasions and will be extremely hard to beat if he can find the front tonight. OUR JERICHO (4) has similar form lines, winning his last two from back marks and is the obvious danger. ERSKINE RANGE (10) is the class runner of the field but is giving away 30m to two smart types. MACHS A PEARLER (1) isn’t a reliable beginner but will run a race if he is safely away from the pole. Tips: 2 4 10 1 Suggested Bet: IM MASTER CHARLIE (2) to win. Race 5: COLD STORAGE SPECIALISTS WESTBRED 4YO & 5YO MARES FINAL BETTORS GEM (2) is racing in career best form and rated 1.54.6 when holding off Twoandahalf Tigers last week. That was a stronger race and she looks very hard to beat back to mares’ company. NOTHINGBUTADREAM (1) sat on the leader when a 1.55.1 winner last start and looks likely to obtain a similar run here. KHUN LEK (3) was a good heat winner and shouldn’t be far away. ALL ABOUT PINK (7) disappointed when beaten as a $1.20 favourite in her heat but must be respected if she can find the front. Tips: 2 1 3 7 Suggested Bet: BETTORS GEM (2) to win. Race 6: DUKE`S BREW MS PACE SIMPLY SUSATIONAL (4) was ultra-impressive in beating SHARDONS ROCKET (5) in quick time before being held up for a run in stronger company last week, He should see clear air tonight and is clearly the one to beat. IMA TRAGEDY (1) has been consistent since leading throughout six starts back and should give them something to catch. PHOENIX WARRIOR (8) won a slightly easier race in 1.55.6 two starts back from a similar draw and must be considered. SHARDONS ROCKET (5) can’t be dismissed despite looking to be in for a tough run. Tips: 4 1 8 5 Suggested Bet: SIMPLY SUSATIONAL (4) to win. Race 7: HI TEMP SERVICES MEMBERS SPRINT MS PACE RUN ONEOVER (1) was a brave 2nd to NORVIC NIGHTOWL (11) first up before being well driven to score last week. He looks the leader over the sprint trip and will be very hard to run down. WAYLADE (7) was impressive in defeat when a nose 2nd last week in slick time and will be better for that run. NORVIC NIGHTOWL (11) has won both starts back from a spell in devastating fashion but has a tough draw to overcome. THIS TIME DYLAN (2) looks a good place chance from the draw. Tips: 1 7 11 2 Suggested Bet: RUN ONEOVER (1) to win. Race 8: HOPPER DALLAS THE PURE STEEL FINAL GLENLOCHAR (2) is flying with two wins and two 2nds from his last four starts. He was far from disappointing when working hard to lead last week and nailed late in slick time and is the one to beat. JAMBIANI (1) has impressed in his two WA starts and probably has the speed to hold the lead if desired. RICIMER (4) bolted in at his WA debut and must be respected despite drawing outside his two main rivals. TWOANDAHALF TIGERS (10) hasn’t missed a place in his last 16 starts and should be thereabout again. Tips: 2 1 4 10 Suggested Bet: GLENLOCHAR (2) to win. Race 9: CONMAN TROTTERS MOBILE CLEAN BREAK (3) is a reliable trotter who has won four on end and will be extremely hard to beat from his nice draw tonight. ARMED FORCE (8) looks to have slightly more ability than his stablemate but doesn’t always do things right. ENJOY A COLDIE (6) and INVASIVE (7) are racing consistently and are always capable of being in the money with the right run. Tips: 3 8 6 7 Suggested Bet: CLEAN BREAK (3) to win. Race 10: CRUISING THE KIMBERLEY WESTBRED MS PACE BETTOR NOT BITTER (1) won two on end before sitting outside Mach Time and pushing that pacer last week. There are no Mach Time’s here and he looks the winner. IT AINT ROYAL (9) and STRAITTOTHEHILTON (8) are racing well but have horror draws to overcome. SECRET SPLENDOUR (10) is drawn to get a perfect run and looks a great place hope. Tips: 1 9 8 10 Suggested Bet: BETTOR NOT BITTER (1) to win. Bet Now
