Trent’s Gloucester Park Preview Posted on February 24, 2017 | Posted by Trent Cooper Trent Cooper’s Preview Race 1: TABTOUCH MS PACE SANTANNA CRUISER (1) was very impressive in leading throughout in good time at Bunbury at his last start. His previous form wasn’t at that level but he looks the leader tonight and a repeat performance will make him hard to beat. ICY GRIN (2) faced the breeze when a solid 3rd here recently and shouldn’t be far away again. TRUSTYTREV (6) has been racing in stronger company but needs some luck from this barrier. HEZ THE JAZZ MAN (3) is racing fairly and this is his best draw in some time. Tips: 1 2 6 3 Suggested Bet: SANTANNA CRUISER (1) to win. Race 2: WESTRAL MS PACE SPRINTER (9) won five starts back over Atlastalone and has been placed at his four subsequent runs. He was beaten a head by Bettor Reward in a hot 4&5YO race last start and looks a major player despite his wide draw. MILITARY MASTER (10) sprinted home in 56.6 when a good winner last start and will be dangerous if he gets luck from this draw. JAMES GALLEON (8) has been racing fairly and will win one soon if he gets the right trip. SUPERIMPOSED (2) was a fair 2nd last week and is drawn nicely. Tips: 9 10 8 2 Suggested Bet: SPRINTER (9) to win. Race 3: RETRAVISION HANDICAP SS PACE IMPORTER EXPORTER (1) won four stands in a row last campaign but hasn’t been stepping as quickly this time in. His last start 3rd was full of merit and he should be hard to beat if he does lead tonight. SKY ART (2) ended a run of outs with a fast finishing win here last week and should be in the finish. ASSASINATOR (9) is racing consistently including two 2nds in stands at his last two starts and should be thereabouts again. HEAR IT NOW (3) is a very reliable beginner and he will be hard to catch if he finds the top. Tips: 1 2 9 3 Suggested Bet: IMPORTER EXPORTER (1) each way. Race 4: SLATER GARTRELL SPORTS TROTTERS MOBILE SAMMY CHARLES (1) is in great form winning two of his last three including an all the way over a similar field last start and is clearly the one to beat from the pole. SKY ME A RIVER (10) was well supported at his first WA run but did things wrong and trailed the field. He has a nice trailing draw and must be respected. IDLE MAPLE (12) is back to her best and did beat Sammy Charles two starts back. LIGHTNING CALDER (4) isn’t racing at his peak but looks a place chance. Tips: 1 10 12 4 Suggested Bet: SAMMY CHARLES (1) to win. Race 5: WESTSIDE AUTO WHOLESALE THE LEWIS FINAL OUR REGAL IDEAL (1) was a good 2nd to AMERICAN BOY (8) before leading throughout to win here last week. This field has more depth but he looks the leader again and will give them something to catch. BETTOR OFFER (6) led throughout from this barrier last week in solid time. He is unlikely to find the top here but should still give a sight. BUNGALOW BILL (7) sat outside OUR REGAL IDEAL (1) and was a brave 3rd last week and can win with a better trip. CUT FOR AN ACE (2) should get a nice run and won’t be far away. Tips: 1 6 7 2 Suggested Bet: OUR REGAL IDEAL (1) to win. Race 6: GOVERNORS CUP MS PACE IM FULL OF EXCUSES (4) has won 8 of his last 10 starts including the Northam Cup and resumed from a five week layoff with a solid 4th to OUR JIMMY JOHNSTONE (6). The barrier advantage is reversed this week and he can turn the tables. OUR JIMMY JOHNSTONE (6) was an impressive all the way winner last week and must be respected despite the draw. KIWI LEGEND (8) has plenty of ability but doesn’t show his best away from the pegs at this stage. BRONZE SEEKER (11) is flying and will be charging home. Tips: 4 6 8 1 Suggested Bet: IM FULL OF EXCUSES (4) to win. Race 7: EMPRESS STAKES MS PACE MAJOR REALITY (1) has established herself as the state’s best mare and has won her last two in style. She has drawn the pole and looks a good thing with the only query being the first 200 metres. BETTOR BE SUPREME (3) has won 9 of her last 12, including five in a row before disappointing against the males in a hot field at Bunbury. Her only chance of victory is to cross at the start and she could make it interesting. THE PARADE (8) beat MAJOR REALITY (1) in the Mares Classic but isn’t as well drawn here. C C CHEVRON (2) is a place chance. Tips: 1 3 8 2 Suggested Bet: MAJOR REALITY (1) to win. Race 8: GARRARDS HORSE & HOUND MS PACE CHAR DO NEIGH (7) was a good 2nd to American Boy before producing two sub-par performances in January. He has had five weeks away from the track and will be hard to beat if he can show his best. DREDLOCK ROCKSTAR (3) has been racing in stronger company and will appreciate his good draw. PAY ME CULLEN (6) disappointed last week but would be the one to beat on his January form. LETZTORQUEABOUTYOU (9) was ultra-impressive in winning from this draw last week and is ready for the step up in class. Tips: 7 3 6 9 Suggested Bet: CHAR DO NEIGH (7) to win. Race 9: INTERNATIONAL ANIMAL HEALTH PRODUCTS MS PACE IDEAL TYSON (3) won two on end before facing the breeze when a brave 3rd in a strong field at Bunbury. This represents a significant drop in class and he is the one to beat. CHANGE OF ADDRESS (1) was impressive in facing the breeze and recording a strong win here last week and is the likely leader and is the obvious danger. NOTHING IN BETWEEN (2) and MACH DENARIO (11) have nice draws and look good place chances. Tips: 3 1 2 11 Suggested Bet: IDEAL TYSON (3) to win. Race 10: MCINERNEY FORD WESTBRED MS PACE ALL ABOUT THE CASH (11) has been in great form at Albany, winning his last two comfortably. He is drawn the back row and is up in class but looks ready for this assignment. LIPIZZANER (2) has been racing consistently and is the best drawn of the main chances. HINDU KUMARA (8) was a good all the way winner at Bunbury last start but is drawn wider here. EL SUNAMI (5) is always running on and will be suited if there is a strong tempo. Tips: 11 2 8 5 Suggested Bet: ALL ABOUT THE CASH (11) to win. Bet Now
